About the role

This is an exciting role with responsibility for both IT and Digital. You will actively implement new tools and platforms, oversee data protection compliance and cyber security, whilst developing effective policies and guidelines spanning our IT infrastructure. You will also take ownership of our digital strategy across all channels, driving service delivery and managing significant relationships, contracts and budgets. We will look to you to  lead digital transformation and champion innovation, whilst delivering workshops and training sessions to diverse colleagues. In short, you will be the catalyst that gets the most from our online presence, our technology and our vendors and partners, ensuring best practice and value in everything you do.

Hours: 35 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid working, with one day per week at our London office.

About you

Highly experienced as an IT thought leader and manager with technical experience, you will combine a strategic mindset with a truly hands-on approach. Developing  strategy, as well as leading and managing IT and digital change projects should be second nature to you.  Similarly, you will be experienced in mentoring teams and controlling websites, CMS platforms and integrated digital systems. A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline would be beneficial, alongside knowledge of data protection legislation, digital accessibility and inclusion, Squiz DXP, Azure, Intune and AWS. However your ability to communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues is just as important. Above all, you will bring everything it takes to get the most out of people, systems and budgets, with real passion for cutting-edge technology and the drive and determination to make things happen.

Key Responsibilities

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Manager in our Estates team, working with a range of stakeholders and people who use our services. We are looking for an outstanding individual who has experience in the day-to-day management of our buildings and infrastructure and an ability to manage a dynamic and proactive, forward-looking maintenance environment, including reactive maintenance, water safety, fire safety, and statutory testing. and practical knowledge of CAFM systems and Microsoft systems.

A Portfolio Manager builds part of a programme strategy, co-develops projects with partners, and makes recommendations for funding these projects. This role, which is a 6 month fixed term contract, will sit within the Health Effects of Air Pollution programme. Air pollution is the greatest environmental risk to health, particularly in urban areas like Lambeth and Southwark. Air pollution doesn’t affect everyone equally; it disproportionately prevents racialised  and people living on low incomes from living healthy and happy lives. Our vision is a healthier world where everyone breathes clean air. To achieve this, we fund solutions to reduce the impact of air pollution by working with a diverse range of partners across Lambeth and Southwark and we work with decision makers to advocate for clean air. We are dedicated to reducing air pollution in a way that has the deepest impact on improving health equity in urban areas. Therefore, we believe efforts to reduce air pollution must be targeted to benefit those people who are most affected by it and we use what we learn to influence others to take a similar, equitable approach. 

This role will be leading the Amplifying Voices strand of the programme. This strand works with communities to amplify the voices of people who are most affected by air pollution. To that end, we work in partnership with organisations like LIVE+BREATHE, Global Child Maternal Health, and the Ella Roberta Family Foundation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on strategy delivery for the Amplifying Voices strand of the Health Effects of Air Pollution programme. 
• Lead the funding partnership lifecycle from idea through development, decision, contracting, management to exit. This includes: 
• Bringing projects and partnerships through our internal funding decision-making process, working closely with partner organisations to co-develop these 
• Guiding and supporting existing community partners as they deliver to achieve our mutual goals 
• Working with our evaluation team and external evaluation experts to develop and deliver evaluation plans for projects and partnerships 
• Assisting organisational development of partners, through commissioning grants plus support 
• Driving an inclusive/non-extractive due diligence process

To lead and deliver Richmond CVS’s support services for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough. This includes providing high-quality advice, training, and development support, alongside managing key projects and coordinating external consultants.

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a MEL Manager to join the team in London or Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution in a newly created role.   

 In this role you will strengthen CAF’s capacity to measure, evaluate, and learn from its climate impact initiatives. This role ensures that strong evidence and insights guide continuous improvement with a particular focus on the effective delivery of the AAQD implementation programme. 

As MEL Manager you will act as the MEL focal point, managing reporting, evidence generation and dissemination both internally and externally, of the respective programme. The application of lessons and evidence is crucial to successful delivery during the two-year timeframe of the programme. The post holder will lead on developing and delivering a learning plan to support the impact of the programme and its future direction.

The role will focus on the design and implementation of a programme level MEL system and associated tools and processes, to optimise programme efficacy and promote the use of data and evidence in driving results. 

Working across the MEL, EU and other Portfolio teams, you will apply CAF’s organisational MEL system and tools for the benefit of our work in the EU whilst also strengthening CAF’s contribution to impact overall. 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

• Solid experience developing and managing MEL frameworks (including Theories of Change and results frameworks) and their implementation in large international projects and programmes, ideally in a global philanthropy, air quality, and/or climate change or international development context
• A strong understanding and experience of embedding equity in MEL approaches 
• Experience fostering a culture of - and mechanisms for - openness and learning across a team of multiple partners and geographies
• Demonstrable experience synthesizing lessons, evidence and their application from large volumes of data and communicating in a clear and structured manner
• Strong data analysis skills and experience, specifically in MS Excel 
• Some experience of various MEL tools and approaches such as outcome harvesting, most significant change, participatory evaluation alongside experience/understanding of quantitative MEL tools and approaches 
• Experience designing and managing external evaluations for useful, action-focused learning outputs and evaluations
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 
• Experience developing and refining Theories of Change, including problem analysis/needs assessment, causal pathways and assumptions.

About Children Not Numbers 

The conflict in Gaza has left thousands of children in urgent need of medical care, trauma support, and long-term assistance. Children Not Numbers is a grassroots UK-based charity committed to the health, safety, education, and wellbeing of Gaza’s children. 

Children Not Numbers (CNN) was established in early 2024 to address the urgent need to support Palestinian children caught up amid an unprecedented conflict. Within 18 months, we have grown rapidly into a global network of c.200 committed contractors and volunteers: 

Our work includes: 

• Emergency medical aid for sick and injured children in Gaza, delivered through collaboration between local staff and an international network of volunteer medics 

• Short-term medical evacuation for urgent and complex cases – more than 230 children have been safely evacuated to date 

• Rehabilitation and trauma support for children with life-changing injuries and extreme psychological trauma 

• Maternal Support Programme – over 500 women supported across 1,100+ appointments 

• Education and Empowerment Programme, currently supporting 300 children in Gaza with academic and psychological care 

• International advocacy, including engagement with the UN, European Commission, UK government and other international bodies 

About the role 

This is a key position within a growing organisation, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen risk and compliance systems that underpin CNN’s humanitarian work. 

As Risk & Compliance Manager, you will: 

• Lead on organisational risk and compliance, ensuring CNN operates with transparency, integrity, and accountability. 

• Oversee risk management frameworks, compliance reviews, due diligence processes, and internal policies. 

• Provide assurance to Directors, Trustees, and donors that CNN meets all relevant regulations, ethical standards, and donor requirements. 

• Support colleagues across all teams to embed a culture of compliance, safeguarding, and ethical practice. 

You will report to the Director and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.

About you 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional with a strong understanding of risk and compliance within the charity or NGO sector. 

You will bring: 

• Strong experience in compliance, risk management, or audit in a charity, NGO, or similar setting. 

• Proven experience managing risk registers, due diligence processes, and compliance reviews. 

• Strong knowledge of UK charity law, donor compliance, safeguarding, GDPR, and anti-fraud/anti-bribery frameworks. 

• Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills. 

• A collaborative approach and confidence in advising senior leaders and trustees. 

A professional compliance or risk qualification (e.g. ICA, IRM) would be desirable.

We're looking for an inspirational people person to join us as a Assistant Shop Manager in our Holloway Road shop. This is an exciting opportunity, and we'd like you to join us to help raise vital funds for homeless and badly housed people.

You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the shop looks welcoming, visually appealing and the team of volunteers are motivated and keen to engage with customers and maximise sales.

About the role

You will assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment, support and development of a strong community focused shop team and empower them to maximise Shelter's income. Representing Shelter in your local community, ensuring that you and your team share your knowledge of Shelter's cause with customers, volunteers, donors and potential Shelter clients will also be important aspects of the role. You will always ensure a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for your team to work in and for your customers to shop in, in turn attracting potential donors and volunteers.
