This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis with a salary of £47,197 per annum to work in a flexible hybrid model between home and their Central London Office.
The Programme Funding Manager plays a pivotal role in securing and managing institutional funding from trusts, foundations, government agencies, and multilateral donors to support the organisation's global programmes. You will lead on the development of high- quality funding proposals, build and strengthen donor relationships, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
They are looking for someone with significant experience and a successful track record of securing grants from key institutional funders. You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience in institutional funding with an understanding of institutional funders’ priorities, requirements and ways of working.

Job Title: Programme Manager (Sounddelivery Media Programmes)
Responsible to: Chief Executive
Location: Hybrid (with some in-person work as required)
Salary: £42k pro rata, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent (subject to funding)
Role Purpose
The Programme Manager will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Sounddelivery Media’s programmes. This includes managing funded projects, supporting network organisations, and ensuring programmes are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard, while meeting funder requirements and SDM’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end delivery of SDM programmes, from planning through to evaluation and reporting.

Work closely with key stakeholders to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives

Creating new programmes according to the strategic objectives of the organisation

Act as the main point of contact for programme partners, freelancers, and delivery organisations.

Oversee programme budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring strong financial and risk management.

Ensure programmes meet funder requirements, including monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Work closely with the Media & Communications Manager to promote programme activity and impact.

Support learning and knowledge-sharing across the SDM network.

Contribute to programme design and development, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.

Experience (Essential):

Proven experience of managing programmes or projects, ideally within the charity, cultural, or media sectors.

About the role
We are excited to be recruiting a Programme Delivery Manager to join The Scholars Programme team. This role will lead on the central Delivery Cycle, including creating correspondence and guidance for schools and PhD Tutors, and collaborating with other teams to ensure communication is streamlined and consistent. This is a key role within the Programme Management team, ensuring high quality pupil impact by tracking data returns, and providing team briefings as well as ongoing training and support. They will support with the development, testing and embedding of new processes and projects, including IT developments, and will be the first point of contact in the Programmes team for troubleshooting delivery and data issues. They will line manage a small team of Coordinators, who will support Programme Officers and Programme Managers to meet programme delivery targets.
The role requires an accomplished professional, with proven experience of high-quality programme delivery and excellent communication skills. They will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners, establishing themselves as someone who can be relied upon, supporting the whole team and proactively finding ways to improve what we do.
While this role can be based in our London or Leeds offices or be fully remote; it will involve some travel to deliver programme events at our different university partners.
About you
The role will best suit someone who:
- Has knowledge and experience of the school and university sectors
- Has knowledge of educational interventions, including impact management
- Has proven experience in leading the delivery of a project or programme across a locality
- Has excellent knowledge and confidence using Office 365 applications (Word and Excel) and different IT platforms such as virtual learning environments and CRM systems
- Is capable of adapting quickly to new systems and interfaces
- Has experience of line management and/or leading and delivering through others
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS or above), has academic research experience or has substantial experience of delivering a university access programme
- Adheres to information security policies included in the charity’s ISO 27001 manual and completes information security training
- Has a demonstrable passion for furthering The Brilliant Club’s mission
