*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £22,155.20 to £34,913 (FTE £27,694 to £43,642). The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £24,370 (FTE £30,463) depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

*The project will run for three years. The initial fixed-term contract will be for 12 months, with a potential extension for a further two years subject to funding.

Context and purpose of role

By 2034 Ramblers ambition is that everyone in England and Wales will be able to join a Wellbeing Walk close to where they live – for communities to come together and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of walking. This work is part of the strategic plan and business objectives of Ramblers GB.

The role will deliver the Walking Together Project across communities in north London, Slough and Reading. The role will engage directly with the most disadvantaged communities, where loneliness, social isolation and inactivity could be prevalent, through a ‘Getting Started’ Wellbeing Walks programme. This is a community delivery role to work with local communities to establish walks and find potential walk leaders within the community to sustain walking.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Ramblers Getting Started element of the Walking Together Project
• Maintain positive working relationships with local and regional partners to deliver the project
• Maintain positive working relationships with local members/volunteers
• Attend Community/Borough or Town Council, steering group and other partner meetings and events and use to deliver the project
• Ensure relevant policies and procedures, compliant with current legislation and in line with Ramblers’ approach, are supported
• Set up a total of four community walking programmes in the identified areas each year
• Deliver and coordinate training opportunities for the communities who sign up to the project
• Support the Community Development Officers in identifying further opportunities in the area
• Manage and record project expenditure
• Provide regular progress reports

About this role

SPANA is investing in its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) function. We have established an independent MEAL team within the Global Programmes Directorate (GPD), led by a Head of Data Insights and MEAL. The MEAL team plays a critical role in ensuring that SPANA’s programmes are effective, responsive and continuously progressing to improve the welfare of working animals globally. The MEAL team works closely with SPANA partners based in different countries and with SPANA colleagues across departments.

Reporting to the MEAL Manager, the Data Management Officer is a key role in SPANA’s MEAL team. The role oversees the full data cycle, including supporting partners with consistent data collection, improving data quality assurance, maintaining data systems, setting standards, co-ordinating consolidation of programme data and producing clear analysis and visualisation. The role contributes directly to better use of evidence in programme design, learning and accountability across the organisation.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hour per week), permanent role based in the UK. SPANA works on a hybrid basis, and staff come into our office in London for approximately 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred).

In this new role the Impact and Evaluation Manager will be critical to helping Bite Back demonstrate and strengthen the difference we make for young people, funders, partners, and wider society. You will lead the organisation’s approach to measuring, evaluating and learning from our work – ensuring that youth voice is at the heart of how we design, assess and communicate our impact.

You will manage Bite Back’s relationships with external evaluators, develop and track organisational KPIs, and work closely with programme and fundraising colleagues, trustees and funders to ensure we can evidence our outcomes clearly and compellingly. This role will also develop creative ways to tell the story of our impact – from robust evaluation reports through to case studies that bring young people’s voices to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Impact and Evaluation Manager is accountable for:

Strategy and Theory of Change

• Working closely with the CEO to lead Bite Back’s organisational impact strategy, including refining and maintaining our theory of change.

• Translating our theory of change into clear outcomes, indicators and learning questions that guide programme design, campaigns and organisational priorities.

• Designing and overseeing Bite Back’s impact measurement framework.

Data Systems and Standards

• Leading on the collection, analysis and reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring that youth voice and lived experience shape Bite Back’s evaluation approaches.

• Supporting the development and monitoring of KPIs across the organisation, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Leadership Team.

Donor monitoring and evaluation

• Working with fundraising and programme teams to design robust monitoring, evaluation and learning plans for funding bids, including developing outcomes frameworks, indicators, and evaluation budgets that align with Bite Back’s broader organisational impact framework.

• Working closely with the Senior Grants and Fundraising Manager to ensure Bite Back meets its impact and reporting commitments to funders.

• Leading on the development of Bite Back’s annual impact report and supporting the production of  other compelling case studies, impact reports and evaluation outputs to communicate Bite Back’s effectiveness to funders, trustees, partners, the media and wider audiences

Building a Learning Culture

• Managing relationships with external evaluators, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.

• Building evaluation capacity across the team, providing tools, training and support to colleagues to embed a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

• Embedding equity, diversity and inclusion principles in Bite Back’s impact and evaluation work, ensuring methods are inclusive, accessible and reflective of the communities we work with.

• Acting as a champion for a learning culture, communicating clearly and accessibly about impact, data and evidence, and supporting colleagues through changes to systems and ways of working.

• Staying up to date with best practice in youth-led evaluation, impact measurement and social change movements, and bringing innovative approaches into Bite Back’s work.

The Senior Fundraising & Grants Manager will lead the development and delivery of Bite Back's fundraising strategy with a primary focus on trusts, foundations and institutional grants. You’ll oversee the organisation’s grants pipeline, coordinate funding applications and reports, and ensure excellent standards of funder stewardship and compliance. You’ll also play a role in developing early-stage public fundraising activities to diversify income and support the long-term sustainability of Bite Back’s youth-led mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Fundraising and Grants Manager is accountable for:

Fundraising Strategy & Planning

• Design, deliver and monitor a values-aligned fundraising strategy, with a primary focus on trusts and foundations.

• Set annual income targets, track progress against goals, and report performance to senior leadership and trustees.

• Identify new income opportunities to support Bite Back’s strategic growth and impact.

• Develop and maintain a 12–24 month grant pipeline to forecast income and manage funding cycles.

• Ensure all fundraising activity complies with the Code of Fundraising Practice, GDPR, and Bite Back’s ethical standards.

Grants from Trusts and Foundations

• Lead the processes for securing income from trusts, foundations and institutional funders, from prospect research through to submission, reporting and renewal.

• Research, identify and prioritise funding opportunities aligned with Bite Back’s youth-led mission and programmes. Collaborate with internal teams to conduct due diligence to ensure funding sources are aligned with our values.

• Prepare and submit high-quality, evidence-led, and compelling grant proposals in collaboration with the CEO, Director of Finance & Operations, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, and programme leads.

• Coordinate grant management and tracking: maintain accurate records of deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

• Work with the finance team to develop accurate project budgets and ensure financial reporting meets funder expectations and our operational needs.

• Produce and submit clear, engaging progress reports to funders that highlight impact, learning, and youth voices.

• Monitor grant income and expenditure, ensuring compliance and timely claims against restricted funding.

• Work with the Operations and Contracts Manager and the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to develop and improve systems for grant tracking and data integrity within the CRM (Salesforce).

Donor Stewardship and Relationship Management

• Work closely with the CEO to build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential funders, ensuring high-quality engagement and stewardship.

• Coordinate communications, updates, and thank-you processes for donors to encourage repeat and multi-year funding.

• Lead workstreams, working closely with the Brand Manager and leadership team for support, in order to deliver meetings, presentations, and reports to funders.

• Represent Bite Back at relevant events, funder briefings, and networking opportunities.

• Promote a culture of fundraising awareness and collaboration across the organisation.

Fundraising Development

• Work with the Communications and Operations teams to explore and pilot small-scale public fundraising initiatives (e.g. individual giving, online campaigns, web donation tool).

• Work with the CEO and Communications team to develop a new strategy to build a strong and committed donor network of high net worth individuals aligned with Bite Back’s values

• Develop systems, messaging, and supporter journeys that reflect Bite Back’s youth-led identity.

• Explore opportunities for revenue from the public sector.

• Test new public fundraising channels and evaluate their return on investment to inform future strategy.

Other

• Champion Bite Back’s values - Fresh, Resilient, Respectful, Energetic, and Real - in all fundraising work.

• Collaborate with the youth activism, communications, and policy teams to translate programme outcomes into fundable opportunities and compelling narratives.

• Stay informed about trends in the fundraising and grant-making sectors and share learning across the team.

Details:

Salary: £22,000 per annum based on 2 days/14 hours per week. (FTE: £55,000 per annum)

Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. The Role
This role will take day-to-day ownership of key operational processes across Cosmic’s NICU and PICU support, ensuring smooth delivery, strong relationships across hospital teams, and the continual improvement of internal systems.

The Operations Executive plays a central role in keeping Cosmic running smoothly across both hospital sites and Cosmic HQ. This is a hands-on and varied position, combining operational coordination, ownership of key processes, and direct support to Cosmic’s Senior Leadership Team. This role will be pivotal in connecting Cosmic with the families we support and our NHS units across both hospital sites, by supporting our service delivery and fostering continuous engagement.
You will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards across our service delivery programmes, ensuring our units are well-stocked and supported, coordinating fulfilment activities, improving our internal systems, and helping strengthen Cosmic’s visibility within the hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Coordination Across PICU and NICU
• Act as a consistent and trusted operational contact for unit staff across St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s.
• Enhance Cosmic’s visibility in the units, ensuring noticeboards, communications and information materials are up to date and on brand.
• Lead end-to-end coordination of operational tasks across both sites, ensuring high standards and reliable follow-through.

2. Nutri-Care Campaign  
• Coordinate Nutri-Care food deliveries to Cosmic HQ and our units.
• Distribute food items to NICU and PICU units at St. Mary’s Hospital and NICU at Queen Charlotte’s.
• Oversee stock storage at St Mary’s, Cosmic House, and Queen Charlotte’s, maintaining clear logs and ensuring resources never run low.
• Review family and staff feedback from the Nutri-Care surveys and share themes with the Service Delivery Manager to support service improvement.

3. NICU Welcome Bags & Corporate Volunteering
• Take ownership of stock levels for NICU Welcome Bags across both units, ensuring they are always ready for families.
• Work with NICU teams to develop practical solutions that ensure every family receives a Welcome Bag within 24 hours of arrival on the units, monitoring consistency and resolving any barriers.
• Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for corporate volunteer packing sessions, acting as the Cosmic lead on the day.

4. Stock & Supplies Management 
• Maintain regular routines to check, restock and record Cosmic items on PICU and NICU units.
• Oversee stock of cereals, tea, coffee and other essential items that support families and staff.
• Maintain accurate inventory logs and recommend improvements to stock processes.

5. Office & Systems Management
• Manage routine supplier relationships and monitor service standards.
• Process and code invoices for approval and support compliance tasks such as health and safety checks, first aid and fire safety.
• Maintain organised shared drives and digital filing systems, ensuring they are up to date and easy to navigate.
• Ensure all Cosmic office equipment is functional and well-maintained.
• Coordinating diary bookings and logistics for meetings, events, and training.
• Overseeing health and safety compliance (first aid, fire safety checks).
• Support onboarding and leaver processes for new staff and volunteers.
• Manage Cosmic’s relationship with the NHS Post Room, overseeing all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Coordinate logistics for meetings, events and staff activities, ensuring information flows efficiently.

6. Support to the Senior Leadership Team
• Provide high-quality executive support including diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements.
• Prepare briefing and meeting notes, collate information for internal or trustee papers, and support follow-up on key actions.
• Undertake small operational projects or research tasks with minimal supervision.

7. Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, stock processes and internal systems across the charity.

Position Overview

The Senior Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Friends of Palestinian Universities’ advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, wider team, and partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

The role requires excellent coordination, communication, and partnership-building skills, including supporting structured engagement with Palestinian higher education representatives through regular convening, briefings, and follow-up.

Key responsibilities

1. Building UK–Palestinian Academic Links

• Support the development and implementation of Friends of Palestinian Universities’ annual building links plan in line with programme and organisational goals.

• Support the design and delivery of partnerships and collaborative projects with Palestinian universities, including research, fellowships, and exchange initiatives.

• Liaise with partners in Palestine and the UK to map opportunities for meaningful and equitable cooperation.

• Create and maintain an accessible and up to date database of UK, Palestinian and international networks. 

• Contribute to organising Friends of Palestinian Universities’ annual conference.

2. Advocacy & Awareness-Raising

• Support the development and implementation of Friends of Palestinian Universities’ annual advocacy & awareness plan in line with programme and organisational goals.

• Research and prepare public-facing resources (e.g. briefings, reports, speaker events) for academic, policy, and civil society audiences.

• Build relationships with UK-based higher education networks, staff unions, academic departments, and student societies.

• Contribute to organising Friends of Palestinian Universities’ Education, Occupation & Liberation programme of events.

• Support the Director and Palestinian partner representatives with research and briefings as necessary for public facing engagements. 

3. Monitoring & Evaluation

• Work to achieve KPIs agreed in the annual work plan.

• Work with the Director to plan and evaluate programme strategy and delivery.

• Monitor programme impact and contribute to reporting for donors, Trustees, and partners.

• Produce quarterly reports on programme activities and outcomes for the Director and Board of Trustees.

4. Representation & Convening

• Represent Friends of Palestinian Universities in coalitions, conferences, and sector forums as appropriate and with the agreement of the Director.

• Facilitate spaces for Palestinian scholars, students, and advocates to share knowledge and shape agendas in line with their collective priorities.

5. General Support and Team Contribution

• Actively support and promote Friends of Palestinian Universities’ mission and values.

• Work as a part of a team and contribute to collective staff wellbeing. Adapt to the flexible working of a small organisation.

• Collaborate closely with the Friends of Palestinian Universities team on shared projects and organisational priorities.

• Follow Friends of Palestinian Universities’ policies and processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in programme management or related field, preferably within the non-profit or education sector.

• Strong understanding of the contemporary social and political reality for Palestinians, awareness about the educational context in Palestine and the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate collective initiatives with multiple partner institutions and maintain structured, professional communication with partners.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to sustain and develop effective professional relationships.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Fluency in Arabic.

Desirable

• Master’s degree in a relevant field

• Experience working with international partners and stakeholders.

The Holocaust Educational Trust team is made up of hard working, energetic people who are passionate about our mission to educate every person from every background in the UK about the Holocaust and its relevance today.

Over the course of our history, the Trust has created a delivered innovative a meaningful learning experiences and educational programmes which reach over 100,000 young people each year, teaching them about what the Holocaust was, and its relevance today. The schools’ programmes we delivery include our Outreach/survivor speaker programme; our Lessons from Auschwitz Project; the Youth Advocacy/Ambassador Programme; Testimony 360: People and Places of the Holocaust; and Teacher Training. 

The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility of, and driving registrations to, the Holocaust Educational Trust’s programmes with schools across England. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility of, and driving registrations to, the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Department for Education funded ‘Supporting Survivor Testimony in Teaching’ initiative – specifically supporting a drive to engage and register schools, ensuring schools across England are inspired to take part through compelling and effective marketing and communications. The post’s work ensures that schools across the UK are inspired to engage with our programmes, building long term and ongoing relationships.

Key responsibilities

All of the responsibilities below are achieved by working closely with the Trust’s programmes team and with the various external MarComms agencies that provide support to the Trust, ensuring that a programme of compelling content and campaigns is shared across email, social media, and web platforms, all designed to inspire teachers and school staff to engage in our programmes and initiatives. As our in-house link to the MarComms agency, you will:

• Support with the development and implementation of an integrated marketing plan, which will drive school engagement, and will translate in to school registration on to the government funded ‘Supporting Holocaust Survivor Testimony in Teaching’ initiative.
• Ensure that a programme of compelling content and campaigns is shared across email, social media, and web platforms, all designed to inspire teachers and school staff to engage in HET’s programmes, translating into school registrations

• Support the creation and management of marketing content and messaging across platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters, blog posts, sector press and other.

 Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. The Foundation has been awarded a £2.1m grant by the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to deliver a pilot as part of its Grant Holder Support programme. This pilot, Investing in the Power of Civil Society (IIPCS), will support up to 640 charities across the Northwest, Southwest of England and Yorkshire and Humber.

Delivered in partnership with eight organisations — IVAR, Groundwork UK and local trusts, CAST, The School for Social Entrepreneurs, NCVO, Voice4Change England, the AVOCADO Foundation and Access (advisory) — the pilot will offer diagnostic-led, tailored and relational support to help organisations strengthen their work.

Support will focus on resilience, environmental impact, readiness for AI and digital technology, enabling participating charities to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. With a strong emphasis on equity and access, the pilot is designed to ensure organisations of all sizes and backgrounds can benefit.

We will be using a test-and-learn approach — trying out new ways of supporting charities, learning from what works and what doesn’t, and using those insights to improve future programmes.
