BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The latest research suggests that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to 2.7 million, meaning that one in five children don’t have enough to eat. When a child is too hungry to learn, they struggle to concentrate, absorb information, and manage big emotions, causing them to fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast provides a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 300,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. JOB PURPOSE
The Director of Fundraising and Development (Maternity Cover) will provide strategic leadership and direction across all fundraising and income-generating activities, ensuring the charity continues to deliver against its financial objectives and accelerates long-term, sustainable growth across our philanthropic, public, and commercial income streams.
You will bring strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to equip, support, and empower the team through a period of organisational change. You will help the team optimise and make the most of the new organisational strategy, embedding strategic focus, effective decision-making, and collaborative leadership practices across the fundraising leadership group.
You will use your commercial acumen and fundraising expertise to identify opportunities and support the team to recognise, shape, and pursue them confidently and effectively, enabling them to take ownership and drive progress across all income streams. A key part of the role will be ensuring that new commercial and public sector income streams are recognised, understood, and capitalised on across the organisation, working closely with the newly established Head of Business Development to embed this focus and enable them to succeed in driving this work forward.
Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a crucial role in maintaining momentum, ensuring continuity, and supporting the organisation to deliver the new strategy and business plan, helping to realise opportunities, navigate challenges, and ensure long-term sustainability during this maternity cover period.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Driving income growth: establishing high-performing income pipelines across all income streams, with a strong multi-year focus, supported by robust data, reporting, and pipeline management.
- Integrating and accelerating public sector and commercial income streams: Ensuring newly integrated income areas are understood, valued and operational across the organisation.
- Embedding and executing a unified, co-owned fundraising and development strategy: Partnering with the CEO, SLT and Board to embed strategic focus, ensure integration, and alignment with organisational goals.
- Strengthening leadership, culture and team performance: Providing coaching-based leadership, direction, support and empowerment, helping the team thrive and achieve ambitious income targets across philanthropic, public sector and commercial streams.
- Advance cross-organisational impact, insight and influence: ensuring fundraising and development is tightly integrated with organisational strategy, marketing/engagement, service delivery and external influencing.

About the role
We are excited to be looking for someone with expertise in high value fundraising communications and project management to join our growing Philanthropy and Partnerships team. This role is central to ensuring our fundraisers are equipped with the tools, assets, and information they need to fundraise efficiently and effectively through every step of the donor journey
This exciting role will play key part in helping to drive our ambitious plans to grow Young Lives vs Cancer’s high value (for us, this means income from major donors, grant-making trusts & foundations, and companies) income to £8m net by 2028.
In this role, you will work on a variety of projects from concept stage through to delivery that will help create a step change in the pace and scale at which the team can attract, engage, secure and retain support from high value audiences.
You will also lead on the delivery of an exceptional high-value stewardship and cultivation strategy, ensuring every supporter experiences a personalised, impactful journey. This includes developing innovative engagement opportunities, showcasing the tangible difference their support makes, and building deep, trust-based relationships that inspire long-term commitment. You will champion best-in-class stewardship practices, leveraging insight and creativity to strengthen connections and unlock transformational giving.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
Main responsibilities
- Create and maintain a suite of clear and compelling written and designed communications including funding propositions, toolkits and cases for support to secure six and seven figure gifts from high value audiences.
- Coordinate stewardship moments across Philanthropy and Partnerships aligned to key calendar events throughout the year.
- Being responsible for development and overseeing an exciting stewardship and cultivation strategy and action plan for newly identified and top prospects, designed to support the delivery of targets and KPIs around high value fundraising development and income growth.
- Support the development of a culture of philanthropy across the organisation by helping colleagues understand and engage with high-value fundraising. This includes keeping internal teams informed about donor impact, sharing updates through meetings and internal channels, and responding promptly to requests for information. You will help coordinate materials, prepare briefings, and assist with internal events that showcase the importance of philanthropy, ensuring everyone feels connected to and invested in our fundraising success.
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of donor stewardship activities and communications in the fundraising CRM, supporting effective donor journey tracking and reporting.

Knowledge and skills
- Strong understanding of visual design principles and highly skilled in using Canva and other similar programme to design and create engaging fundraising assets.
- Knowledge of philanthropy & partnerships fundraising including an understanding of the different high value audiences and typical motivations for giving.
- Outstanding writing skills e.g. copy writing, proofreading and editing with the ability to adapt messaging for different high value audiences.
- Strong planning and organisational skills; able to work with tight deadlines.
Demonstrable experience of:
- Writing winning bids, applications, proposals or reports for at least one of our high value audiences e.g. companies, trusts and foundations, or high net worth individuals.
- End-to-end project management.
- Developing and managing relationships with multiple internal stakeholders to deliver results.
- Experience working with fundraising CRMs, with a strong understanding of how to record, track and report on donor interactions and stewardship activities.

This role develops and implements organisational data strategies and frameworks for measuring the impact and performance of the MS Society’s work, aligned to organisational strategy, covering data collection, analysis, and reporting, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of impact and performance evidence and insights.
Experience of stakeholder management both internal and external; and designing and delivering complex analysis and evaluations is required.
With one direct report, we require a seasoned manager / lead and the person applying should also have proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for advanced data analysis and modelling (e.g. logic models, theory of change and other evaluation models), and experience in using survey tools and software for data collection and analysis.

About the role:
As a Team Leader you will be:
- Ensuring the effective delivery of services to victims in accordance with the London Adult Service against contract specifications, operating procedures, confidentiality, information sharing and safeguarding policies.
- Leading the caseworker team, ensuring victims receive timely, professional needs and risks assessment and referral to appropriate support, assuring the quality of service provision.
- Working collaboratively with the Operations Manager/Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.

Philanthropy, which covers Grants, Trusts & Foundations and Major Donor fundraising streams, is pivotal to Noah’s Ark, typically accounting for around 50% of the charity’s voluntary income. This is an area of real expertise for Noah’s Ark, with much scope for further refining. The Philanthropy Officer will work closely with and report to the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager and Head of Philanthropy to develop the Trust and Major Donor pipelines, along with instrumental cross-team work on applications and reporting processes for other income streams. Whilst we work towards developing a more diverse funding model and navigate changes to the external Trust and HNWI environments, sustaining and growing income from both of these income steams will remain vital.
The post-holder will be key in taking the Trust and Major Donor programmes to the next level, securing new grants, building relationships, increasing multi-year gifts and improving both quality and volume of applications. They will also support the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager, and the wider team, to the same end with their respective portfolios.

The Purpose of the Role
IRC’s External Relations (ER) department brings together Fundraising, Communications and Policy & Advocacy functions. With the aim to raise money, awareness and influence for crisis-affected populations worldwide, the department combines knowledge and expertise across multiple national markets.
The IRC fundraising teams are comprised of colleagues and teams working in the USA, UK, Germany, Sweden and Korea as well as emerging markets delivering direct marketing, content, account management, philanthropy, board liaison, corporate as well as trust and foundation partnerships to support IRC’s national fundraising strategies.

The Director of UK Mass Markets is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Mass Markets team in the UK and for securing long-term sustainable income for the IRC through individual donor acquisition, retention and supporter care. You will lead and develop a high-performing team by growing mass marketing audiences and income, developing exciting and targeted campaigns, identifying opportunities for product, channel and audience diversification, and championing UX and a supporter centric fundraising model. Key Accountabilities

About the job role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Support Administrator in our First Contact Team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in administration and working in a healthcare environment.
The First Contact Team is a dynamic one-stop service that transforms the way patients and referral agencies access the Hospice’s services. An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Administrator to join the First Contact Team. If you are a successful applicant, you will be part of the team that acts as the first point of contact for the Hospice’s services. You will answer telephone calls from people who may be in difficult and stressful situations, provide advice and signpost to other services or agencies. You will also undertake associated administration and data entry.
The service operates 24 hours over seven days a week for advice, whilst referrals will be taken mainly in daytime hours. You will work 37.5 hours every week. Shift patterns will vary, and you will be expected to cover shifts from Monday through Friday, 8.00 am to 9.00 pm, plus occasional weekends according to the rota.

About the role: Principal Responsibilities
- Finance Administration - 60% of role
• Processing grant payments (10-15 weekly) via online banking in line with authorisation limits
• Inputting and updating all incoming and outgoing transactions on QuickBooks.
• Saving payment confirmations on the server and on QuickBooks.
• Scanning and Electronic filing of accounts and finance invoices, receipts, credits.
• Calling organisations in different countries to verify bank account details (as part of anti-fraud checks.)
• Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Financial support to CEO and auditors for annual audit.
• Administration of 3 company credit cards and company expenses.
• Ad hoc administration duties to support charity and CEO including communications with the Charity Commission.
2. Grant assistance - 5%
• Review and edit of grant letters for c.15 grants per year.
• Email liaison with grantees to ensure timely submission of paperwork including annual reports.
3. Assistance to CEO - 25%
• Provide a professional, comprehensive and high-quality executive support to the CEO, including time, diary and email management, travel and accommodation arrangements, expenses, providing support to meetings, drafting appropriate correspondence and document production.
• Providing project administration support and management of discreet pieces of work relating to the Trustees meeting.
4. Office Management - 10%
• Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence e.g. post, office phone
• Inventory and supplies Ensuring that office has sufficient stationary, kitchen and bathroom supplies
• Facilities: deal with any repairs and cleaning including liaison with cleaning company
• Organising catering for Trustees meetings x3 annually
• Weekly backup of server
• Event planning: organising company events e.g. strategic planning sessions, visits from grantees, office outings

About the Service
The Enfield SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Enfield. An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for an IDVA within the Domestic Abuse team to be collocated across the LBE Children’s Services.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for risk and needs assessing and safety planning with survivors of domestic violence. They will hold a caseload of service users identified as requiring crisis intervention, advice, advocacy and onward referral where appropriate. You will be the first point of contact for social care professionals providing training and upskilling as part of the LBE Children Services Domestic Abuse team.
About You
We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending gender-based violence. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.
Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on service users and their children. You will have experience in crisis risk management and safety planning. Experience working within safeguarding procedures is essential as it needs to promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Experience working on large, complex programmes for large institutional donors, foundations or corporates, such as FCDO, GIZ or the Gates Foundation, will be invaluable, as will familiarity with mobile data collection platforms and a solid command of Excel. Equally important is to be a collaborative communicator with a positive, solutions-focused approach, able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, curiosity and a commitment to continual learning.
