The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Officer will play the lead role in ensuring the Trust’s adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

1. Develop and Maintain Frameworks: The GRC Officer develops, maintains, and implements governance, risk management, and assurance frameworks. These frameworks guide security functions and activities within the company.

2. Internal Control Management: They manage the internal control environment by analysing data, mitigating risks, and maintaining corporate compliance procedures.

3. Support Internal Audits: The GRC Officer coordinates internal audits, collaborates with auditors, and ensures compliance with industry standards.

4. Legal Point of Contact: As the first legal point of contact, they advise staff on corporate compliance matters, including security assessments and risk control investigations.

5. Regulatory Compliance: The Officer reviews the company’s compliance with existing and new regulations, identifies deficiencies, and provides necessary mitigations.

In summary, the GRC Officer will ensure that the Trust operates within legal and regulatory boundaries while managing risks effectively.

The role will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and other Central support team members and sits within the Finance, Risk and Administrative Team.

The ideal candidate will have a robust, current understanding of risk management practices, compliance protocols, and governance structures, with recent relevant experience in a similar role.

GamCare is recruiting a Services Team Leader to lead the delivery of effective, responsive, safe, caring and well-led support services that identify, support and provide interventions for women at risk of or experiencing gambling related harms.

Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.

The Role

You will assist with the day-to-day delivery of a support service across the UK, including regular line management and case management supervision of Outreach and Engagement Practitioners and Womens Services Officers. You will also support the Programme Manager in planning the set up and launch of the support service in Northern Ireland.

Alongside service delivery, you will develop innovative ways to listen to and support women experiencing gambling harm. You will incorporate the opinions of women with lived experience of gambling harm into current and any new service design and delivery to ensure the support is responsive to the diverse needs of women.

The Women’s Pathway also delivers awareness raising training for professionals and digital support tools and resources for both women and professionals across the UK. You will work collaboratively with the training provision to develop digital support content, ensuring a joined-up offer to women and professionals. 

About You

You will need the ability to provide leadership to the Women’s Pathway on delivering safe, effective and women focused gambling harm support.

You will have demonstrable experience of case management and case management supervision for clients with varying needs who are seeking a change in behaviour to overcome harm caused.

You will also be confident in identifying and recommending opportunities for continuous service improvement and expanding the reach and impact of the service.

The Business Development Co-ordinator reports to the Business Development Operations Manager and is the linchpin for our business development programmes.  You will be responsible for setting up events online and face to face, contacting trainers, taking bookings and supporting with promotion; making sure the support and content made available to families is kept up to date. The role also involves updating our CRM database, making sure invoices are raised and paid and collating information for reports from the database or Excel.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has excellent IT and digital skills, ideally with experience of online event systems such as Eventbrite and Zoom, a good knowledge of Excel and experience using a CRM database. You’ll need to be highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly, confident phone manner and a good knowledge of the issues and concerns families with disabled children face.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Bedford Mental Health Prevention service for adults which aims to improve people’s mental wellbeing, raise aspirations and enhance confidence.

As Service Coordinator you will be responsible for implementing working recovery models and coordinating the operational plans for the service to ensure that people are able to manage their mental health, move through their recovery journeys and achieve positive outcomes.

Along with coordinating service delivery to meet its aims, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, you will also line manage the service Recovery Workers and lead on recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteers in the service.

Additionally you will conduct assessments of individual’s suitability for the service, leading on more complex cases and guiding people through the range of available interventions that can support them to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.

In addition to managing the day-to-day delivery of the service you will also contribute to the direct provision of the service by leading and facilitating group sessions where needed and by offering informal 1-2-1 mental health and wellbeing support that reduces the chance that people will fall through gaps, be isolated and ensuring the right support and the right time that manages a range of needs.

You will lead opportunities to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and to build links with local organisations and agencies.

You will need to be empathetic and deliver a person-centred approach in a non-judgemental way, collaborating with people to empower and engage them. SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.

This is a senior and key role within the Finance Directorate. The Head of Strategic Finance will provide leadership, expertise, and hands-on support in the following areas

About You -We are looking for someone with substantial financial leadership experience.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Proven track record of leading a finance team and providing professional finance business support, preferably within a fast-paced organisation.
• Experienced in preparing organisational budgets for an international or multi-site business.
• Experience of hands-on Financial Modelling, Multi-year Financial planning with Scenario analysis with recommendations to steer management decision.
• Experience in preparing and managing grant budgets, to ensure full cost recovery for the delivery organisation and full compliance with the donor requirements.
• Strong financial reporting skills. Experienced in preparing valuable management information, including insightful analysis and recommendations.

The IRC: 

Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global leader in providing emergency relief, rehabilitation, post conflict development, human rights protection, resettlement services and advocacy for refugees and others uprooted or affected by violent conflict and oppression. Over the past 17 years, the IRC has pioneered and implemented programs that prevent and respond to violence against women and children, as well as other vulnerable groups in refugee settings and in other conflict-affected contexts. IRC is one of the first humanitarian organisations to bring together specific expertise involved in violence prevention and response (VPR) in conflict affected settings to ensure collaborative and still specialized support to survivors and those at risk of violence. IRC presently implements VPR programs in over 26 countries, to support social and political environments that foster freedom from violence, discrimination, and exclusion for marginalized populations in contexts of crisis.

Background: 

Building on a growing body of evidence – including IRC’s Cycles of Displacement report and other reports including The Only Way Is Up – in 2022, the IRC launched a flagship technical innovation project ‘TRANSFORM’ to develop mechanisms for humanitarian organizations to systematically embed diverse sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) considerations in conflict and displacement response. Through this BHA-funded project, the IRC is seeking to address the systemic reluctance/capacity issues holding back the humanitarian sector in a way that models a deep involvement of diverse SOGIESC CSOs and extends diverse SOGIESC inclusion across the humanitarian architecture. The TRANSFORM project will develop and socialize new approaches to advancing conversations and furthering commitments to diverse SOGIESC inclusion in the humanitarian sector and architecture.

Job Overview / Summary: 

The Inclusion Specialist will support with ensuring the successful delivery of TRANSFORM, including the implementation of all key activities and deliverables.

The Inclusion Specialist will be based within the Violence Prevention and Response Unit (VPRU)’s Inclusion Team, which promotes more inclusive humanitarian programming at the IRC, rooted in a strong analysis of context, power, gender and how intersecting aspects of identity may result in discrimination, oppression and exclusion. The Inclusion Specialist will be based in a sub-team responsible for the delivery of TRANSFORM and may have opportunities to support with other diverse SOGIESC inclusion initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM, the Inclusion Specialist will play a leading role in the implementation of all aspects of TRANSFORM until the end of the project, with a focus on technical programmatic components linked to diverse SOGIESC inclusion. Responsibilities include:

Project Management and Initiative Oversight and Coordination:

· Support with the management of all programmatic activities and deliverables within TRANSFORM.

· Actively work with relevant IRC country and headquarters staff and support project partners in delivery of project activities in all three pilot locations, ensuring effective implementation and with particular oversight of activities and deliverables in Ukraine and a disaster risk reduction (DRR) context.

· Support the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM and grant management focal point to produce programmatic donor reports, communications, and participate in meetings/calls as needed to keep the donor apprised of program progress.

· Coordinate with a wide range of project stakeholders, including the project team at IRC and the project partners, but also with IRC staff from pilot country locations to ensure timely implementation of project deliverables.

Learning and Impact:

· Document evidence and learning from TRANSFORM at the global level as well as from the pilot countries, in partnership with the MEAL focal point.

· Collaborate with IRC staff and project partners on the development of all knowledge management aspects (including but not limited to case studies, resource package and training materials) of the TRANSFORM project. This will include taking a leading role in the writing of substantial parts of the resources package and training materials.

· Support with documenting and sharing learning internally to support better diverse SOGIESC inclusion in programming – linking learning to IRC frameworks and strategies, and working with colleagues from across the organization as appropriate.

· Convene – with the support of the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM – an internal learning exchange / regularized discussion space to link together counterparts across the IRC and share learning from the TRANSFORM initiative.  This may include colleagues from VPRU and other Technical Units, as well as from Policy and Solutions (P&S), People and Culture (P&C), Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI), Country Programs, and employee resource groups (ERGs).

Dissemination and External Representation:

· Support with the ongoing running of the project’s advisory group and ensure ongoing coordination between the advisory group and all project team members.

· Package and disseminate the growing evidence base, learning, and good practices around diverse SOGIESC inclusion on relevant internal and external platforms.

· Ensure dissemination of key project resources and learnings.

· Play a key role in IRC’s external representation for the project, including ensuring continued coordination and collaboration with external stakeholders within the relevant global humanitarian architecture, as well as representative organizations and local and national partners.

· Lead the development of communications materials linked to TRANSFORM.

Capacity Strengthening:

· Support the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM to develop capacity building resources and materials related to diverse SOGIESC inclusion.

· Support the Inclusion Team to provide capacity-strengthening opportunities to IRC staff (both within the Technical Units and in Country Programs).

Personal Specification:

Skills and Experience:

· Extensive experience within the humanitarian and/or development sector, related to the inclusion of people with diverse SOGIESC.

· Strong understanding of the existing external policy and practice landscape around diverse SOGIESC inclusion, including humanitarian architecture structures for representation at an Inter-Agency level.

· Experience of implementing projects in diverse humanitarian settings/contexts at both the field and global level.

· Experience coordinating multi-country and multi-stakeholder initiatives.

· Proven experience of knowledge management and development of diverse learning products.

· Excellent communication skills and experience representing an organization and building strong relationships at the local, national, and international level.

· Education: A relevant combination of academic qualifications and extensive experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Working Environment

Romsey Mill is a Cambridge-based charitable organisation creating opportunities with young people, families and local communities, across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to overcome disadvantage, promote inclusion and develop personal, social and spiritual wellbeing. We want to appoint a fundraiser who will work alongside the team to help secure and grow income; and who will be responsible for researching and writing funding applications to charitable trusts and statutory bodies to fund our programmed work to transform young lives,  and preparing outcome and impact reports for funders.

The Role: 

• Lead procurement activities including sourcing, purchase contracts, orders, and stock management.
• Oversee the delivery of trees for the Woodland Trust, crucial for achieving woodland creation, protection, and restoration targets.
• Institute an end-to-end procurement process, manage growing contracts, and respond to demand changes.
• Ensure effective stock control and efficient distribution.
• Lead a team supporting existing tree procurement processes and implement new systems for robust procurement and distribution
• Involved in funded projects related to seed sourcing and sector capacity building.
• Support the Woodland Trust's 10-year strategy, PlanTREES, contributing to the goal of creating 60,000 hectares of woodland across the UK
• This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once per quarter. There will also be quarterly visits to clients and suppliers with some overnight stays. 
• This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave with a proposed start date of Monday 18th November 2024.

The Candidate:

• You are an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in managing supply chain challenges
• You have a comprehensive knowledge of procurement systems and deliver excellent service to stakeholders by being flexible and collaborative
• With exceptional relationship management skills, you serve as a key point of contact for internal stock users and nurseries
• You have strong decision-making abilities under pressure and the capacity to interpret complex datasets
• As a confident communicator, you engage in challenging conversations with key commercial partners to ensure the best value for money
• You have an excellent appreciation of the UK forestry, nursery, and seed supply sectors along with a detailed understanding of UKSIG Assurance.
• You can manage and monitor expenditure effectively, with potential for sound line management in a growing team.
• Additionally, you are confident in undertaking negotiations, managing contracts, and maintaining Service Level Agreements with third-party suppliers and contractors.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

Many children fall behind with reading simply because they lack the opportunity to practise: we work to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most. Chapter One’s unique, online, reading support programme pairs struggling 5 to 8 year olds in over 11 areas of the UK with over 3000 volunteers who are recruited from a range of local and national businesses.

We are seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Officer to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner experience. This is an opportunity for an early career professional to learn about charity-business partnerships in a dynamic, small charity which is flexible and agile. 

Reporting to our Corporate Partnerships Manager, but also working closely with our Business Development Manager, you’ll support them both to deliver our annual volunteer targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (currently 88%). This will involve supporting both the identification, acquisition, and onboarding of new partners, but also the account management of a portfolio of existing partners.

The National Youth and Children’s Brass Bands of Great Britain are the UK’s leading brass bands for children and teenagers.

We provide gifted young brass players and percussionists with opportunities for advanced music performance, musicianship development, leadership enhancement, and musical horizons expansion.

Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of these young musicians and we are recruiting house staff and lead house staff to look after them at our residential courses and concerts. 

The young musicians in our Children's Band are aged between 8 and 13 and in our Youth Band  between 14 and 19.
