My client is a very well established name in the charity sector, supporting people facing homelessness. Working with local communities and partners, the group works in more than 70 different countries, providing support to the most vulnerable of individuals.

At present they are looking to appoint an interim Chief Finance Officer to oversee the group accounting function and lead on a number of key projects:

• Oversight of the finance department, providing strategic and operational support, ensuring sound and prudent financial management and compliance.
• Lead on the delivery of the annual budgeting cycle and presentation to the board.
• Support the senior leadership team in the design and delivery of a company wide transformation programme.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant who has previously held the number one finance position within an international charitable organisation. Comfortable with change management you will have an eye for best practice and strong team building skills.

With flexible working arrangements, my client would be looking for 1 day a week in the office. This role has been assessed as inside of IR35.

The team and role overview  

The HR & Operations function is led by the HR & Operations Manager and includes two Coordinators and one Operations Officer. Together, the team is responsible for delivering effective people management processes, operational support, and internal systems that enable the organisation to function smoothly across both UK and international offices. 

The HR & Operations Coordinator reports to the HR & Operations Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of HR processes, internal policies, and organisational logistics. The post holder will work closely with the Finance team, senior management, and staff across both the UK Head Office and overseas Country Offices, supporting a wide range of activities that are vital to employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

Main responsibilities 

Human Resources

• Act as the first point of contact for staff and managers (including secondees and contractors) on day-to-day HR queries, ensuring advice aligns with GHP’s policies, employment law and best practice. 

• Support the HR & Operations Manager with complex employee relations cases (e.g. disciplinary, grievance or capability), maintaining accurate case records and timelines. 

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns: preparing job packs, advertising, shortlisting logistics, interview coordination and onboarding administration. 

• Administer staff learning and development activity, including supporting appraisal-related training needs, tracking participation, and organising internal training sessions. 

• Maintain accurate, compliant and confidential HR records, including management of absence data, holidays and TOIL via the online HR system. 

• Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics for the HR & Operations Manager and SMT (e.g. turnover, diversity, absence). 

• Contribute to embedding GHP’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion across all people-related processes and practices. 

• Support country offices by providing guidance on HR compliance and operational documentation (e.g. contracts, handbooks, policy templates). 

Operational and Administrative Support

• Manage key shared inboxes and ensure timely triage or escalation of messages to relevant team members. 

• Maintain ongoing contact with travel agencies to coordinate bookings, ensure value for money, and support compliant travel planning. 

• Procure and coordinate delivery of IT equipment and office supplies for new starters in line with budget and procurement processes. 

• Set up and deactivate staff email accounts and systems access, maintaining accurate logs for compliance and security. 

• Liaise with the outsourced IT support provider and/or Digital Transformation Team to resolve tech issues, improve systems, and ensure efficient digital onboarding. 

• Oversee day-to-day office operations including booking meeting rooms and acting as key contact. 

• Maintain internal email distribution lists, ensuring they are accurate, GDPR-compliant, and regularly reviewed. 

• Draft consultancy and volunteer agreements using agreed templates, in collaboration with relevant managers. 

• Maintain an up-to-date tracker of consultant contracts and supporting documents, ensuring files are audit-ready. 

• Regularly file and update HR document templates (e.g. contracts, onboarding checklists, reference forms) to ensure they are current and accessible to the HR team.

BACKGROUND

Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women's led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by VAWG.

OUR SERVICES

Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.

Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.

We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.

PRIMARY TASK

The post is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive package of services and care for women in our refuges. To provide a safe environment and a service that is appropriate to the needs of young BME women particularly those from South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern communities and to support ex-clients following resettlement.

The post holder will have a caseload of clients and be responsible for providing advice, advocacy, casework and support to women and girls, advocating on behalf of these women and making others aware of their particular needs. Parallel is a small but ambitious charitable initiative doing big things: we currently support over 3,000 students through our maths enrichment activities, around 500 of whom receive dedicated weekly, small-group online tutorials in The Parallel Academy. The Role

We are rapidly expanding our service provision over the coming months, and are seeking a full or part-time Project Administrator to join our passionate and energetic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and help embed the tools and processes for reaching thousands more students each year.

This is a versatile role with responsibilities ranging from database management to setting up online events and communicating with service users, schools and tutoring staff. Working within a small administration team, you will be proficient at using a range of tools such as spreadsheets, meeting platforms and scheduling software, and will be willing to learn new ways of working. Hours

This is a flexible and fully remote role, and you will have significant autonomy in how you structure your working week. 

As part of your contracted hours, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends, but this will not exceed one day a week in total. There will also be periods when there is a higher workload (e.g., during student recruitment periods), so you may be required to offer some flexibility in working longer (and then shorter) hours week to week. Key duties and responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date spreadsheets relating to student rosters and learning data.

Our aim is to work to prevent violence and abuse, as well as providing services to meet the individual needs of survivors, particularly women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives, free from abuse.

About the Role

You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across two sites. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You should have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with this or a similar client group. An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential.

As part of both roles, one of the job posts will be located in one refuge, with the other job post located across three refuges.

About You

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.

You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

• Work with the development/implementation partner to develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage the execution of these plans, tracking progress, and ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with the implementation partner to gather and document business requirements from relevant team members to translate these into technical specifications.

• This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed term contract for one year, with a review to extend at the end of that term.
• This role is based in London.
• Salary: £45,000 per annum pro rata (0.6 FTE).

We are looking for a Digital Fundraising Lead to join the mass fundraising and engagement team at Scope.

In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for developing Scope’s digital fundraising strategy and embedding this across mass fundraising income streams as well as supporter led fundraising.

As the senior subject matter expert at Scope, you will lead your team in using an insight led approach to optimise digital campaigns and you will work with teams to improve the effectiveness of digital recruitment channels and the use of digital channels to improve supporter retention and the lifetime value of existing supporters.

This is a crucial role responsible for the development and day-to-day delivery of an important investment area for Scope that will help to safeguard the long-term financial health of the organisation.

The role

As the Digital Fundraising Lead, you will set the vision and strategy for digital fundraising at Scope:

· Lead on the development and implementation of digital fundraising strategy to maximise long-term income generation.

· Review the performance, opportunities, and risks of existing digital products and channels.

· Drive innovation and implement a test-and-learn approach to new investments.

· Ensure all digital fundraising activity is aligned to supporter retention and acquisition plans to maximise return on investment.

· Support other fundraising teams such as legacies, community and events with their digital programmes

About you

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced fundraising leader, with experience in developing and building successful digital fundraising strategies within charities.

· Proven track record in digital fundraising, with extensive of experience in a similar role.

· In-depth understanding of digital fundraising strategies, techniques, and best practices.

· Experience in developing and managing complex budgets including financial modelling and reforecasts.

· Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in managing and motivating a team.

· Ability to analyse data and trends to inform fundraising decisions.

· Experience in building relationships with multiple stakeholders.

· Knowledge of fundraising and marketing compliance

· Experience in managing external agencies and working with internal creative teams.

· Experience in managing and optimising digital fundraising campaigns, making quick decisions to increase effectiveness of campaigns

· Experience in digital marketing and analytics.

· Advanced knowledge of email marketing platforms, CRM and complex data analysis

· Understanding of sector trends and using these to optimise digital fundraising strategy.

Your role will be to truly listen, identify what matters most to the individual, and help them take practical steps towards better health, independence and wellbeing.

• Attending Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and contributing to holistic care planning

• Working with patients to understand their needs, provide emotional support and signpost to local services

Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Customer Service Liaison/Administrator. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.
