The role/ responsibilities:
In recent years, the charity has experienced significant growth—supporting more children, partnering with leading hospitals, and attracting a growing number of dedicated supporters.
The Head of Partnerships and Events will oversee the charities growing portfolio of special fundraising events. - To provide monthly and quarterly commentary for Director of Fundraising & Communications to inform regular Trustee Board reports
About you:

Proven experience in corporate and partnership fundraising, with a strong track record of increasing income.

Excellent relationship-building skills, demonstrated through securing significant gifts via face-to-face meetings, phone conversations, and email—always prioritising an outstanding supporter experience.

Skilled in developing and executing strategic fundraising plans, translating them into actionable operational plans with clear KPIs and risk management.

The Job

Position: S11318 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, North Somerset. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Salary: Circa £27,400 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until October 2026

The Role

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:
- Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
- Provide personalised information, advice and support.

About You
You will have experience in:
- Experience of providing person centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers
- Ability to nurture emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home
- Experience in facilitating face to face group work with vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition.
- Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face-to-face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls)
This role requires extensive travel across the geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

Here's what the team will be looking for
You will have a strong understanding of the principles of recovery and a range of recovery approaches, alongside demonstrable experience of supporting individuals with mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues. With knowledge of mental health conditions, including crisis management, you will be able to communicate effectively, support people with dignity and respect, and apply relevant legislation such as the Care Programme Approach (CPA). Safeguarding awareness and the ability to act appropriately will be essential, as will good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills to produce accurate correspondence and records.
You will be confident working both as part of a team and on your own initiative, contributing to service delivery while supporting the induction of new staff and volunteers. With the ability to work collaboratively with statutory services such as the NHS, you will also demonstrate an awareness of health and safety issues.
