About the Role
The Project Officer role is a new, varied position within the central Strategy, Planning and Change team, supporting the delivery of projects in our Future Foundation Programme, which is our internal change programme making the Foundation fit for the future.
The post holder will work closely with the team of Project Managers to provide high quality and efficient project management and delivery support. They will also play a key role to support the design and set-up of new and improved approaches to programme and project management across the Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity to support organisational wide projects that you can make your own supported by a friendly team.
Desirable Experience:
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working in a Project/Programme Office (PMO) environment, with familiarity in project governance, reporting, change management and supporting project management frameworks. This experience will be valuable in helping to embed consistent project practices and contribute to the success of our change initiatives.

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting
processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities. To be successful in the role, you must have
excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, demonstrate strong organisational and

Key Responsibilities
Youth Empowerment Fund (60%):
- Support the monitoring and reporting of the EU funded YEF programme. Including coordinationwithin the IAF and with the Big 6 designated leads.
- Communicating with and activating networks of national organizations to participate in the YEF,including sharing opportunities to take part in Big 6 advocacy activities and applying for youthled solutions open-call Local Solutions grants.
- Issuing of grants to successful national organizations and monitoring and evaluation, including regular reporting on outcomes and impact of national projects to the YEF project team.
- Sharing success stories from the YEF to support the Big 6 communication, storytelling and creative reporting efforts.
Other Grant based support (40%):
- Oversee grant-giving financial processes, creating and issuing of grant payments.
- Support the Senior Operations Manager with the reporting of grant activities for Senior Management and various stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing development of other Foundation grant reporting efforts as required.
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required for the successful delivery of the Foundation’s business objectives.

Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a much-loved community-based charity in Custom

- Lead on the monitoring of policy engagement and impact by using our evaluation tools and work with external evaluators as required to capture impact and utilise learning.
- Work with CJA members, people directly impacted by the justice system and other key stakeholders to harness and amplify their expertise and insights.

In this integral role, you will lead on the management of data held by the Cancer Intelligence Team and support the generation of cancer intelligence and analytical outputs to drive impactful interventions.
As a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and the NHS, you will manage data access, our DPSt accreditation, data sharing and processing agreements, and ensure appropriate training is developed and delivered. What will I be doing?
Develop and manage relationships with key providers of health and social care data across the UK to secure access to critical data. This includes: Public Health England, the Health and Social Care Information Centre, Public Health Wales, NHS Scotland's Information Services Division and the N. Ireland Cancer Registry.
Lead the development and implementation of a UK-wide Cancer Data Trusted Research Environment
Influence external stakeholders on the development of new and existing datasets to meet CRUK's analytical data requirements.
Support requests for data - held by external bodies - by CRUK's Cancer Intelligence team and the wider Policy, Information & Communications directorate.
Manage data protection compliance and other technical/governance requirements for data received by CRUK's Cancer Intelligence team
Support the development of internal practices around the identification, capture and storing of data and intelligence from various sources
Develop training for colleagues in the use of sensitive data and research data management.
What are we looking for?
Excellent knowledge of GDPR, information governance, patient confidentiality and data security, particularly in relation to health (esp. cancer) data.
Experience handling data applications and data management as well as working with complex data sets.
Significant experience of implementing and embedding effective data management systems and processes.
Experience of working across the research data pipeline, including the ingest of data, the creation of metadata, and dissemination of safe data.
Strong influencer/negotiator with a track record of building collaborative relationships using diplomacy, tact and tenacity, including influencing senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of the UK Data Landscape and UK Research/Health Environment (NHS/PHE).

As a Policy Manager - Equity & Equality you will address systemic barriers and inequities in end of life care. You'll develop evidence-based policy positions, translate research into actionable recommendations, and work directly with stakeholders, communities, and decision-makers to advocate for change. You will play a vital role in influencing activities within the equity and equality workstream by promoting equity of access and experience in end of life care.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead specific areas of policy and influencing work focused on inequities in end of life care, under guidance from the Senior Policy Manager.
- Analyse research and policy trends, develop clear and inclusive policy recommendations, and produce high-quality outputs (briefings, consultation responses, blogs, reports).
- Build relationships with decision-makers, community organisations, and stakeholder networks to embed the voices of underrepresented groups in all policy work.
- Help ensure lived experience is central to our recommendations by co-producing projects with affected individuals and communities.
- Represent Marie Curie at external events, policy coalitions, and media opportunities; act as a spokesperson on relevant equity issues.
- Contribute to funding bids, internal working groups, and cross-UK collaboration to ensure a joined-up policy approach.
Key Criteria:
- Strong policy analysis skills and experience producing impactful evidence-based policy products.

About the role
Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service for England is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and over two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.
This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form peer support groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.
You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.
About you
We are seeking a dynamic person located in or close to Greater Manchester, and willing to travel into priority areas across the North West of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:
- Establish new peer support groups across a diverse range of communities
- Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers
- Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives
- Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
- Support the sustainability of existing Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the Hub (our network support Team)
- Keep precise records to create reports, extract learning, and share key insights throughout Kinship, enabling the organisation to enhance our services and products continuously
In the role of Senior Peer Support Development Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers.
You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey toward sustainability.
An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Essential requirements include:
- Experience of team leadership or line management and supervision of a small team and managing performance to deliver targets effectively.
- Proven experience in reaching and establishing strong relationships with hidden or underserved communities in person.
- Experience developing peer support communities.
- Proven experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers in community settings with an emphasis on understanding and working with vulnerable volunteers.
- Proven experience of ensuring outcomes and impacts of services is evidenced through high-quality data collection.
