INTRODUCTION

As set out in the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust’s 2025-30 Strategy, the NCN Directorate leads on the building of a walking, wheeling and cycling network that brings everyone closer to the places and people they love. The Directorate is organised into four distinct teams: Planning; Engagement; Delivery (England); Delivery (Scotland, Cymru and Northern Ireland). This role sits within the Delivery team in England. Regular travel will be required. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Team: Delivery/ England

In this role, you are a senior leader responsible for driving major portfolios and programmes that support the National Cycle Network. You work closely with the Head of Delivery for England to make sure projects are well‑managed, stay within budget, and are completed on time. Your work must align with the organisation’s strategy and business plan.

You provide strategic direction, oversee programmes and projects, plan effectively, and build strong relationships with partners. You also lead and support your team to ensure that the work is high‑quality and sustainable.

This role provides a great opportunity to set up and manage an exciting new audit programme using innovative methodologies to support services for people with an eating disorder.

Within the College Centre for Quality Improvement, we run an exciting programme of NHS-funded national clinical audits, including the National Audit of Eating Disorders, which will provide important data to drive forward improvements in care for people with an eating disorder. We are seeking dynamic and proactive person for the Programme Manager role.

The successful candidate will have experience in project management and quality improvement in healthcare and/or clinical audit and will have a keen interest in data analytics. Role Overview

As the Youth Service Manager, you will lead KCBNA’s youth provision for young people within the KCBNA youth centre, King’s Cross and surrounding areas. In this role, you will report to Catherine Lalonde, Head of Food, Oceans, and Land Use, African Partnerships. Catherine joined ClientEarth in 2025 and is based in Brussels. She leads ClientEarth’s programmes and impact strategies in Africa, built on long-term partnerships with lawyers and civil society organisations across West and Central Africa. Her work is grounded in regional priorities while ensuring alignment with ClientEarth’s global mission and strategy.

Main Duties

• Work collaboratively with partners to foster and create an effective and efficient programme management culture and embed best practices to support the optimal delivery of strategic initiatives. This includes continuing to innovate and strengthen the way in which ClientEarth engages with partners, especially in light of the decolonizing aid agenda. 
• Responsible for effective programme management of regional projects—including contract and budget oversight—to deliver efficient, value-for-money, and sustainable outcomes throughout the project lifecycle, working with colleagues across programmes to ensure plans and impacts are timely and aligned with strategic objectives. 
• Support cross-partner regional collaboration, strategy, and planning to achieve consortium goals, while championing creative facilitation techniques and interactive group exercises in both online and in-person settings.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented project manager who is excited to help us deliver and scale innovative data programmes. You will work directly with organisations from across the third sector to understand their missions and translate their challenges into well-scoped projects. You will also support teams of volunteer data experts to scope projects and deliver impactful data science solutions.

You don't need to write code or run analysis yourself, but you should be comfortable working alongside technical experts, asking the right questions to scope data projects, and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll need to hold conversations with data scientists about what's feasible, help charity partners understand what's possible with their data, and know when to bring in additional technical expertise.

If you don’t have all the experience and skills listed below, please still consider applying. We don’t expect a candidate to have 100% of these, but we do want to know that you have relevant experience and an appetite to learn in other areas.

Essential skills and experience

• Project management: You are a skilled project manager, successfully leading projects involving multiple stakeholders from conception to completion. You have experience managing multiple projects at once and can successfully prioritise and juggle competing demands. You can plan ahead, allocate resources, identify and mitigate risks, and bring in additional expertise as required.
• Scoping and needs assessment: You have experience collaborating with clients/stakeholders to assess their challenges, translate them into project plans, evaluate their feasibility, and create delivery plans.
• Volunteer and/or people management: Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, or managing volunteers or managing people over whom you do not have direct authority (eg. contractors/freelancers). Comfortable leading multi-skilled teams in a remote-first environment, fostering collaboration within newly established groups.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong active listening skills. You have experience being the main liaison for a project or programme, providing regular updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to ask clarifying questions in areas that are new to you. You are skilled at distilling the key insights or next steps in project meetings to ensure clarity on the big picture and details.

Desirable

• Experience managing or delivering data-related or social tech projects.

• Familiarity with CRMs and/or project management software.

Working hours and location 

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.

The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.

Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. We have a preference for candidates able to work from our office space in London at least one day per week. There may be occasional national travel within the UK for other events and conferences, with reasonable expenses covered.

Managing the delivery of up to 10 intergenerational projects in Greater London, and supporting the Senior Programme Manager and Partnerships Lead with the design of our intergenerational projects through training, resources and events.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leading intergenerational Community and Social Action projects based in London

You will be leading all elements of the design, delivery and evaluation of up to 10 intergenerational projects, for our in person workshops. You’ll bring energy and confidence into the room whilst sensitively considering and accommodating the different needs of the participants, both younger (age groups spanning 7-17 years) and older.

Taking ownership of programme design and development

Liaising with the Senior Programme Manager, you will own specific elements of our programme development, working with participants to generate innovative ideas that enhance social inclusion. You will independently analyse feedback and proactively propose adaptations to ensure our programmes remain fresh, accessible and impactful for all age groups. You will make confident recommendations on programme improvements that advance InCommon’s charitable objects.

Designing activities to be used by different projects across the UK 

You’ll be responsible for designing and sharing high quality activities and resources that can be used by other intergenerational projects in different parts of the country. You’ll involve younger and older people through co-design approaches, and draw these ideas together into beautiful, accessible resources to share.

Developing the InCommon events programme

Collaborating with the communications team, you’ll use your excellent facilitation and presentation skills to design and manage our events programme, specifically our annual Age Friendly Awards and other fundraising and awareness raising events.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and programme participants.  

You’ll lead on all of our communications, and drive engagement with key project stakeholders and participants, curating a wide variety of audiences with warmth, clarity and enthusiasm. Your efficient, thoughtful, professional approach will build trust and lead to close working relationships.

Contributing to the long term development of the our programmes 

You will work closely with our Strategic Management Team and the Senior Programme Manager to grow our work, proactively looking for development opportunities and ways to increase our impact and meet our charitable objectives.

Working closely with the RSPB’s network of territory partners the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development of an ambitious portfolio of impactful projects conserving and protecting the unique biodiversity of these special islands.

What's the role about?

Your main duties will include:

• Facilitating the development, funding and implementation of a diverse programme of partner led projects including policy, species, habitats, science and capacity focused interventions
• Working closely with partners to ensure development and the successful delivery of projects and the ongoing development of organisational capacity.
• Define the RSPB role in supporting territory governments in identifying and prioritising impact focused recovery and conservation programming across the Southern Ocean UKOTs.
• Work with internal fundraising teams to identify new funding opportunities and to develop new projects and secure legacies/extensions to existing projects.
• Building and maintaining a network of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Internally this will include: relevant Programme Boards, the Globally Threatened Species Nature Recovery Group, Leadership Teams, Heads of International Programmes, Conservation Science and Policy Colleagues
  • Externally this will include: BirdLife Partners and other NGOs, UK and Territory Government Departments, Fund-raising bodies.
• Management of budgets (up to £1m p.a.)
• Reporting on progress through CORA
• Assisting the Head of UKOTs in running a Leadership Team to oversee the UKOT project pipeline and to maintain and build team morale and cohesion.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

We are looking for a professional, persuasive and engaging individual with an excellent understanding of programme management and the development and funding of compelling, high impact projects. They should have the skills and personality to be able to bring together dynamic teams and lead cross-organization collaborations.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following experience:

• Educated to degree level.
• An ability to lead, inspire and influence a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
• Extensive experience of international partner led conservation delivery
• Demonstrated background of managing multifaceted projects and programmes in complex settings with immovable deadlines.
• Experience of line-management. Including H&S procedures for international work.
• Proven ability to manage budgets up to £1m p.a.
• Proven ability to secure external funding for projects through grant applications and especially governments and other institutional funding. Experience of the Darwin funding mechanisms of particular relevance.
• Experience of partner development working with small international NGOs to increase their capacity.
• Experience of working with UK and International government departments and ministries.
• Experience of managing contracts with partners or contractors.
• Excellent networking skills and experience of facilitative leadership.
• Knowledge of Project and Programme Management Frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent IT user including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint SharePoint and CORA.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience of working in the UK Overseas Territories
• An ability to make occasional International trips. Although most of these would result in periods of up to two weeks away from home the extremely isolated locations of some of the territories may require longer timeframes away.

The Programme Funding Manager plays a pivotal role in securing and managing institutional funding from trusts, foundations, government agencies, and multilateral donors to support Brooke’s global programmes. You will lead on the development of high-quality funding proposals, build and strengthen donor relationships, and ensure compliance with grant requirements. You will work closely with country teams, technical experts, finance, and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning) to design and deliver impactful funding proposals and reports.

Open Rights Group (ORG) is recruiting for a Pre-Crime Programme Manager

The Pre-Crime Programme Manager leads our work on predictive policing and surveillance within the criminal legal system and counter-terrorism policy, with a particular focus on raising awareness of, and challenging, the impact on over-policed and over-surveilled communities.

They are responsible for the development and implementation of the Pre-Crime programme, working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and other staff to expand the programme’s profile, network and funding opportunities.

As a Programme Lead, they will also be responsible for working with the SMT and other Area or Programme leads to further develop and uphold ORG’s values and collaborative working culture. They will be recognised as an issue-expert and senior leader within the organisation.

Activities

This is a permanent position at Open Rights Group, and we have secured a number of project grants to deliver the following activities:

• Lead and manage the Safety Not Surveillance (SNS) Coalition, the UK’s only coalition fighting to prohibit AI- and data-driven predictive policing. SNS brings together grassroots partners with national organisations to build power in communities, secure media coverage, engage decision-makers and mobilise those with lived experience.

• Develop detailed policy positions on the deployment of AI and data-driven technologies by private and public actors in criminal justice, immigration and national security.

• Advocacy to encourage decision makers, including MPs, Lords, Government departments and the Information Commissioner’s Office, to adopt ORG’s and the coalition’s recommendations.

• Conduct campaigns that raise awareness of the threats posed to people’s digital rights by the data-driven technologies in policing and counter-terrorism, as well as more broadly.

• Through research and FOIs, help build a legal case with our partners against covert Police-led pathways under Prevent, the UK’s counter-terrorism programme.

• Opportunities to campaign against digital ID, the Online Safety Act and to protect freedom of expression.

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Partnerships and programme delivery colleagues, you will support senior-level engagement where appropriate and lead the progression, follow-up, and delivery of opportunities across the corporate and foundation pipeline. You will play a key role in shaping fundable opportunities with donors, translating organisational, programme delivery and research priorities into compelling, donor‑aligned funding propositions. The Senior Programme Manager will lead on stakeholder management for the Subject Knowledge for Physics Teaching (SKPT) programme, including senior leaders in multi-academy trusts, programme partners and funders. The postholder will also have specific responsibility for leading an effective strategy to meet programme KPIs.

The SKPT programme is DfE-funded and delivered in partnership with STEM Learning. It consists of teacher professional development modules to support those teaching physics out of specialism at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in England.

The Ogden Trust is a family charitable trust which supports the teaching and learning of physics. The Trust delivers professional development programmes for teachers of physics across England, supports schools and multi-academy trusts to improve their physics provision and works with universities to support highquality physics enrichment.

The postholder will also be required to contribute to other projects/programmes to aid the Trust’s activities, particularly regarding event management. The role occasionally involves some work in the evening and at weekends, which will be managed in line with our time off in lieu (TOIL) policy. The role will also involve some UK-wide travel.
