Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. The Carer Poverty Alleviation Programme is a new Carers Trust programme under our strategic goal that no carer is pushed into poverty or is financially disadvantaged by their caring role.

The Programme Lead role is the fulcrum for this new partnership programme, will be comfortable to lead within and outside of the organisation and in developing a new team to drive the programme to success. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ERP Programme Director to lead the successful delivery of MSI’s global finance and supply chain transformation programme. This programme will transform our capabilities and delivery across MSI’s 37 Country Programmes and Global Support Office (GSO) with the introduction of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology, driving us forward to deliver our vital mission.

The Director will shape the overall programme from the outset, so that it is set up for success. The successful candidate will need deep transformation and ERP experience, delivering full ERP programme lifecycles in complex organisations like MSI. For the programme to be successful, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across MSI’s Country Programmes, Regional and Global Support Offices will be crucial.

The transformation programme has been approved and is currently at the inception stage, giving the ERP Programme Director the opportunity to make key strategic decisions that will shape the programme; such as the selection of an ERP technology solution best suited to MSI’s business requirements, appointing and onboarding a third-party implementation partner and to design and recruit the internal project team required to ensure success of the programme.

We anticipate a 3-year programme cycle with occasional international travel to MSI country programmes as required for the successful delivery of the programme.

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:

• Successfully delivered 8+ full-lifecycle ERP implementations in medium to large international enterprises. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not essential.
• Strong track record in strategic transformation, change leadership and programme management delivering large programmes that have resulted in transformational change in the Finance and Supply Chain domain.
• Experience of overseeing complex multi-million pound programme budgets.
• International NGO and/or healthcare sector experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience driving operational efficiency in finance and supply Chain and implementing a framework for process standardisation and improvement.
• Experience delivering finance transformations involving shared service operating models.
• Extensive ERP vendor / system implementor contract management experience.

Formal Education / Qualifications

Age UK are recruiting for a Senior Influencing Project Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract.

We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.

This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.

The successful Senior Strategic Influencing Manager will take the lead in designing and delivering these complex projects, including management of external partners, consultants or agencies and internal teams as required. This is a key senior role within the Fundraising Directorate, collaborating closely with the Senior Corporate Manager – New Business the Fundraising Leadership Team to grow income and awareness from corporate sources.

The Role

In April 2021 the Domestic Abuse Act received Royal Assent. The Act introduces a new civil Domestic Abuse Protection Notice (DAPN) to provide immediate protection following a domestic abuse incident, and a new civil Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) to provide flexible, longer-term protection for victims. DAPOs can impose both prohibitions and positive requirements on perpetrators. We were commissioned by the Home Office to design a triage model that will assess individuals for the suitability of these interventions; this triage model will be rolled out in the pilot sites which are going live in May 2024 and will be tested and evaluated in order to prepare for national roll out in 2026.The Programme Manager will oversee the roll out and delivery of the DAPO pilot Triage Model.

Global Programme Manager (Nepal & Myanmar)

The Programme Manager is an exciting and influential role at RCPCH Global, a specialist unit within the College, in which you will lead the management of our maternal and child health programmes in Nepal and Myanmar, with some support for our work in Rwanda. Based in our London office, you will oversee the implementation of the programmes, including the delivery of high-quality programme activities.

As Programme Manager, you will monitor and manage all financial and budgetary aspects of the programme in compliance with donor requirements and take the lead on all programme reporting to donors, maintaining and ensuring high-quality programme monitoring and evaluation processes are adhered to.

Crucially, you will be responsible for liaising with local programme counterparts and stakeholders in the field, which may include regular field visits. You will also take the lead on the recruitment and management of long-term programme volunteer clinicians, as well as short-term advisory consultants, for the programme.

In addition to wider donor liaison, you will help develop new programme grant agreements with a preliminary focus on UNICEF and the James Percy Foundation, as well as promoting RCPCH Global activities to external stakeholders.

Suitably qualified in international development, public health, international and global health, health systems strengthening and child health, or with equivalent work experience, you should have excellent project/programme management skills and have a background in a relevant international/development management or implementation role. 

With demonstrable experience of designing, initiating and leading complex programme development processes, including with senior government counterparts, local partner organisations and international and multilateral donor agencies, you should have a significant understanding of budget management and financial reporting, including to bilateral and multilateral donors.

Previous experience of successfully managing large complex programmes, including supporting field-programme teams both remotely and in the field, within the international development and/or health sectors is essential, whilst experience of working in developing countries would be desirable.

Although based in London, this role may include some travel to Nepal. Additional travel to Rwanda as part of support role may be required. 

RCPCH Global is a unit within RCPCH which designs and manages a range of international projects and programmes to improve neonatal, child and adolescent health, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Our programmes use teams of skilled clinicians and other health professionals to work with counterparts in targeted low-income countries to train and mentor doctors, nurses and other health workers, as a means of helping to build the capacity and quality of the health systems in those countries. 

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. 

The RCPCH has more than 22,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. 

The RCPCH wants to represent all the communities we serve. Appointment will be made solely on merit. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Growth and Portfolio Impact, the Senior Programme Manager will provide day-to-day operational oversight of programme delivery, ensuring contract compliance and financial management, acting as main point of contact with Clients. The postholder will develop and execute plans for complex programmes and projects, identifying issues or potential risks, including project performance, financial and legal. The Senior Programme Manager will lead and mentor the programme delivery team, including development and evaluation of assigned staff.
 
To be successful, you will have significant experience of programme management within an International Development context, with experience in supporting and supervising large technical assistance programmes. You will have an excellent understanding of donor/client management requirements, including working with major funders like FCDO or Green Climate Fund. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to forge and develop cohesive teams with clear roles and responsibilities. Finally, you will have demonstrable leadership ability, providing compliance/financial support to project management teams.

Details of the role

As the Head of Programmes, you will play a central role in Jangala’s evolution at this important juncture, leading Jangala’s efforts to provide critical internet access to those who need it most. You will build and lead the partnerships with a wide range of delivery partners, from UK councils to the UN and major aid agencies, that will facilitate Jangala’s growing impact around the world, as well as lead a team dedicated to building efficient and insight-driven programmes. Your leadership will ensure the successful implementation of our connectivity initiatives, and help achieve Jangala’s ambitious impact targets providing meaningful connectivity worldwide.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead Jangala’s overall programme delivery, building partnerships across the UN, NGO and public sectors to deliver internet connectivity to millions of people by 2028 

• Ensuring that our programmes are high-quality and impactful, delivering meaningful connectivity by implementing our M&E frameworks and conducting first level impact assessment

• Working closely with our Strategy, Insights & Advocacy Lead to develop and implement our M&E frameworks, ensuring we are accurately measuring our impact

• Work closely with our Project Delivery Lead, assuring the robustness of our programmes, and due diligence process - including in high-risk environments subject to special regulations and sanctions

• Working to make our programmes accessible and scalable, so that they can serve both major organisations and grassroots partners in line with Jangala’s principles of universal accessibility 

• Act as Jangala’s Safeguarding Lead, managing overall responsibility for Jangala’s safeguarding responsibilities to the people we support

• Building and leading a high-performing programmes team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

• Representing Jangala at key events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our visibility and opportunity for impact.

Important details

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for collaborative work at least once a week.

E3G PROGRAMME FINANCE LEAD, OPERATIONS, LONDON

E3G funding comes from a wide variety of funders around the world. We are looking for a CCAB qualified finance person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a charity or not-for-profit programme finance context. The role will work with the Chief Financial Officer and Programme Leads to manage our financial relationships with these funders and the end-to-end finance activities across our funders and programmes.

E3G currently has offices in London, Brussels, Berlin and Washington DC. Some European travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing monthly internal project reporting to project leads.
• Managing external funder reporting and project audits.
• Liasing with project leads and project management team to provide expert advice and ensure compliance with funder regulations across projects.
• Supporting with the development and review of funder budgets for grant proposals.
• Managing staff rate card process for charging out time to funders.

Experience and Skills

• Solid organisational skills and good attention to detail.

• Hybrid Working but ideally at least 2 days per week in the London office.

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical.
