Delivery Manager (Climate Action Fund Training and Development)
Reference: DM07
Location: Home-based (with some travel across the country)
Contract: Fixed term until June 2031
Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum, FTE
Hours: Part-Time, 18.75 hours each week
Groundwork South is seeking a motivated and experienced part-time Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of our Climate Action Fund project over the next five years.
About Us
Groundwork South works with communities across the south of England to transform their lives and the places where they live. We have been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration for over 25 years, and today we have a simple mission: to create better places, improve people’s prospects, and promote greener living and working.
We are passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny, and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances. This vision drives the work that we do. Each year we deliver over 100 innovative projects, tackling the biggest issues facing our communities and creating real and lasting, positive change.
About the Project
Communities Prepared works with volunteers and communities across England to help them build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. This includes supporting communities to plan for climate-related risks such as flooding, storms, heatwaves, and severe weather.
Despite the successes we have had through our programme to date, we are not currently reaching diverse enough audiences and too often there are people missing from the resilience sector. This needs to change. To address this we are now embarking on an exciting new UK-wide partnership programme funded through the National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund over the next five years.
The programme responds to growing evidence that climate-related emergencies, including extreme heat, flooding, fire, cold and severe weather, disproportionately impact marginalised communities, while those same communities are often excluded from resilience planning and decision-making.
The programme brings together Equally Ours, Communities Prepared (part of Groundwork South), and the VCS Emergencies Partnership (VCSEP, part of the British Red Cross) to strengthen climate resilience by ensuring that communities experiencing discrimination and disadvantage are at the heart of climate preparedness, response, recovery and policy-making.
Through a rights-based and co-produced approach, the programme seeks to shift climate resilience policy and practice away from models that frame communities as “vulnerable”, and towards approaches grounded in agency, participation, equality and shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
As Delivery Manager, you will oversee the development and delivery of specific resilience focussed training and workshops with marginalised communities, with the understanding that our current offer will need to be adapted in line with feedback from these groups. Key tasks include:
We are looking for someone with:
Closing date for applications: 11.59pm, 26th July 2026
Interview date: 30th July over MS Teams
Interview panel: Representatives from Groundwork South, Equally Ours and VCSEP (tbc)

Help us make sure no one living with nystagmus ever feels alone. We're looking for a Chief Executive who can turn a trusted, growing charity into a fundraising and communications powerhouse.
The Nystagmus Network is a small charity with an excellent reputation. For forty years, we've been the voice people turn to when they need it most. Whether that's a parent whose child has just been diagnosed, an adult navigating a new condition, or a clinician looking for a research partner with expertise in patient involvement. We've built that trust one relationship at a time, and now we're ready to grow it into something bigger.
We need a Chief Executive who sees fundraising at the heart of the charity, and as storytelling with a purpose. If you thrive on walking into a room with a funder and leaving with a partnership, you're the person for us. Securing significant income through trust and statutory bids sits at the heart of this role, and so does the expertise in demonstrating impact. Sharp, compelling reporting that shows funders and supporters exactly what their money makes possible.
We're looking for someone who can shape a communications and brand presence that matches the strength of our reputation, someone with experience in setting direction for external-facing content, comfortable working with fractional expertise to keep our voice consistent and professional, and just as comfortable being the face of that voice themselves. You'll be equally at home talking research priorities with an ophthalmologist as you are meeting a family with an unexpected diagnosis.
This is a hands-on role in a lean, ambitious organisation. You'll hold real responsibility for strategy, governance and our external profile, working closely with a supportive Board of Trustees, but you'll also be close enough to the work to take ownership of the insight and data that prove it's working. We want to hear from you if the idea of taking real ownership of all aspects of running a charity appeals to you, if you are a self starter with the skills to manage a wide range of projects and ideas.
You do not need to have been a Chief Executive before. What you do need is real sector experience, credibility with funders and trustees, and the drive to turn ambition into a deliverable plan. We particularly welcome applications from people with personal experience of nystagmus or other eye conditions.
If you can bring both the strategic weight and the storytelling instinct this next chapter needs, we would love to hear from you.
Part-time · 3 days per week · 12-month fixed-term contract · £44,000-48,000 per annum, depending on experience (pro rata) · Remote, with periodic in-person meetings
Please keep cover letters to one page maximum and be sure to answer the following questions:
1. What is it about your previous experience that makes you a good fit for this role?
2. Please describe what you consider to be the biggest opportunities for the Nystagmus network
3. What made you apply for this role?
Our mission is to champion the cause of the nystagmus community we support.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

About Responsible Finance
Responsible Finance is the membership association for the UK’s Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs). CDFIs are community lenders, committed to delivering positive social impact, and offer fair and affordable finance to businesses, social enterprises and to people unable to access it elsewhere.
This is an exciting moment to be joining the CDFI sector. Responsible Finance and its members are focused on increasing access to fair and affordable finance for SMEs, social enterprises, people, places and communities that are underserved by mainstream finance. The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in turning that ambition into practical referral pathways, stronger partnerships and measurable growth in responsible lending.
Awareness of CDFIs remains low among many organisations that support SMEs and entrepreneurs. Many businesses that could benefit from CDFI finance are therefore not currently being directed to the sector. An increasing number seem to be turning to high interest lenders, which don’t always consider good customer outcomes.
We are therefore seeking an exceptional Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver a partnership outreach and creation strategy that raises awareness of CDFIs, increases referrals and signposting, and supports growth in CDFI SME lending. Our recent pilot with Lloyds Bank to refer declined SMEs to Responsible Finance, and our partnership with Grow London Local are just two examples.
Success in this role will mean building a prioritised partnership pipeline, converting relationships into active referral pathways, improving the quality and volume of referrals to CDFIs, and using data to learn what works.
Purpose of the Role
As Responsible Finance’s dedicated Partnerships Manager you will build strong relationships with banks, brokers and broker organisations, professional advisers, business organisations, government, local growth bodies and others to raise awareness, establish referral routes and strengthen onward pathways to finance readiness and business support.
Your work will be a driving force in delivering Responsible Finance’s ambition to unlock an additional £1bn of lending over the next five years.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a varied and dynamic role, working closely with our members and a range of external stakeholders. This job description is not exhaustive; it outlines the key tasks and responsibilities of the post which are subject to change. Any changes will be made in consultation with the post holder.

The marketing and communications team is small but mighty. We help people find the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), understand what we do and take the next step, whether that is applying for a programme, booking a workshop, coming to an event, becoming a partner or engaging with our work.
We lead programme recruitment across SSE. That includes campaign planning, email marketing, social media, web content, partner communications and applicant journeys. We also manage SSE’s outbound communications, making sure our messages are clear, timely and joined up across newsletters, press, stakeholder updates, programme promotion and wider brand activity.
It is a creative, varied team where the work moves quickly and no two days feel the same. You will work across the full communications mix, helping us turn ideas, stories and programme information into clear, engaging content that reaches the right people and encourages them to act.
The work is fast-paced, but it is also genuinely rewarding. Good marketing at SSE means more social entrepreneurs hear about the support available to them, more partners understand our impact and more people see the value of social enterprise. We are practical, collaborative and always looking for ways to improve. If you enjoy making things clearer, sharper and more engaging, and you want to see your work make a real difference, this is a brilliant team to be part of.
To equip people with skills, funding, and networks to realise their potential, improve lives and protect the planet.
