The Talent Set are excited to partner with Versus Arthritis to recruit for a Gifts in Wills Manager to join them on a 13-month Maternity Cover contract, managing a thriving legacy programme within a supportive Public Fundraising team. This role will lead on the continuous development of the charity’s legacy marketing strategy to drive growth, alongside maintaining the profile of legacy fundraising as a key focus area for the charity.

Key duties include:

• Own and drive the Legacy Marketing strategy for charity, refining and embedding an integrated, insight led legacy marketing and stewardship programme.
• Set and monitor budgets and KPI’s to measure the effectiveness of the legacy programme, working with internal colleagues on medium and long-term legacy income forecasting.
• Be an active member of the Public Fundraising management team, representing the team across the organisation and actively contribute to a fundraising strategy that drives lifetime value of supporters.
• Line manage a Gifts in Wills Officer.  

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

• In-depth experience and knowledge of leading a Legacy Marketing strategy across online & offline channels.
• Experience of managing a significant legacy income budget, with a data-driven and analytical approach.
• A strong ability to collaborate at all levels of an organisation, contributing to a broader Public Fundraising strategy and maintaining the profile of legacy fundraising within an organisation.
• Prior line management/team development experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Executive Administrator

Executive & Governance Support

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and President.
• Manage the President’s inbox, responding to or escalating queries as appropriate.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, including preparing agendas and drafting and distributing minutes.
• Process and track expense claims for the Council and Executive team.
• Organise bookings for the President, including travel, hotels, and restaurants.

Committee & Fellowship Support

• Provide full administrative support to the Services Committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and taking minutes.
• Undertake projects for the Services Committee as required, including data analysis
• Assist Governance & Grants Manager with the administration of the ABN Fellowship Programme, including maintaining records and supporting application and review processes.
• Liaise with Special Interest Groups (SIGs) on behalf of ABN

Financial & Operational Support

• Ensure office supplies are maintained, including stationery and consumables
• Assist with financial administration, including processing expenses and payments.
• Liaise with finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Deputise for Website & Finance Officer in their absence
• Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting as required.

The ABN has a small office team, and all staff members are required to take on duties outside of their main job description from time to time.

About the Role

Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, implementing a vital part of our philanthropy programme as we deliver our growth strategy.
 

You will identify, engage, cultivate and steward major donors (high net worth individuals) and charitable foundations to secure high value gifts and grants, grow long term strategic relationships in support of the LGBTQI movement, grow GiveOut's network, and provide a top quality donor experience. 

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will support them on shaping and executing strategy and work planning, coordinating the donor database and leading on related internal processes, and deputising for the Head externally.

We are open to full time or part time (pro rata) at a minimum of 24 hours, or equivalent to 3 days per week. We are also open to flexible working arrangements to be discussed. Operations Officer 

Location: Home-based, with a minimum of every other week travel into our London Office (Islington)

Salary: Point 27-30, £30,116- £33,083 (a London Allowance will be applied to employees who live in London)

About the role:

Respect is looking to expand our Operations team with this new Operations Officer role. We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience in scheduling meetings, HR administration, and coordinating internal and external correspondence with a variety of stakeholders. You must have a strong understanding of GDPR and Microsoft packages and be able to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-changing working environment. The role

As the breadth and volume of our fundraising activity has grown over the last couple of years, an opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and enthusiastic individual to join our database team. This role will be line managed by the Database Manager, with a dotted line to the Senior Database Officer to ensure the smooth running of our income processing activity, making a significant impact for the charity, and enabling excellent supporter care.

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department are preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

- Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our Philanthropy and Campaign teams builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign which is due to launch in 2025.

- Our database team sit within Fundraising, with their work underpinning and supporting the entire department.

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
• Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
• Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders for joined up working, including statutory and voluntary service providers, making referrals for guests where appropriate.
• Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
• Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.
• Conduct follow-up calls with guests where needed and track outcomes
• Support volunteers who are working on delivering Advice Services e.g triage volunteers and pathways volunteers
• Provide advice to the General Advice Service as and when required

Case Management

• Manage own caseload and work independently to support guests
• Use of Case Management System (AdvicePro) as well as Microsoft Office for communication and document production.
• Support with developing case studies and gathering guest feedback
• Collect statistical information as requested for reporting purposes.
• Feed into the development of monitoring reports for funders and other stakeholders

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the charity’s record of referral and signposting agencies;
• Ensure data protection regulations are adhered to, and that sensitive data is handled in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational procedures.
• Keep informed of new and changing legislation relevant to the post, and of local issues and policies
• Be committed to the aims, procedures and policies of Sufra’s advice service in every aspect of service delivery.
• Take part in supervisions, personal development training, team meetings and appraisals
• Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the operations of the charity.
