Founded in 1989, the mission of Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) is to support Indigenous Peoples and other communities of the world’s rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfil their rights to land, life and livelihood.  Locally, it supports forest communities to gain land rights, challenge destructive industries, manage their forests and protect their environment. The DRC Fieldwork Coordinator role sits within RFUK’s largest Programmes team: Land & Livelihoods. A central aspect of the L&L team’s work is supporting communities to establish and manage community forests as well as working at the national and policy levels to achieve wider impact. This role will be pivotal to a new phase of community forest expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is being supported by the Rainforest Trust. In partnership with five local organisations, the role will contribute to the objective of expanding community forests in two highly biodiverse landscapes: the periphery of the Maïko National Park in North Kivu province and the area surrounding the Salonga National Park in Maï Ndombe province. 

The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years’ experience of project management support in a charity or international development context, as well as 3 years’ of experience in supporting community land use planning and livelihoods initiatives in rural contexts. We are seeking someone who has a firm grasp on forest governance and human rights, is familiar with the requirements of institutional donors, and is eager to play a key role in a new phase of community forest expansion.

About the role:

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our ambitious Fundraising team. Working closely with the Trusts and Foundations Manager, you’ll contribute to our fundraising strategy and help meet annual income targets. What the job involves

We’re seeking a Website Content Officer to join our Integrated Marketing and Media team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing and improving the content on our website, making sure it’s clear, accessible and meets the needs of our diverse audience.

Acting as the ‘voice of the user’, you’ll be responsible for publishing updates via our content management system (CMS), maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility across the site. You’ll oversee key areas, including the homepage, keeping information accurate, up to date, and easy to navigate.

You’ll work closely with teams across the Prostate Cancer UK to help shape their messages for the web, offering advice, guidance, and training where needed. Day to day, you’ll manage content schedules, review pages to identify improvements, and create or edit content to keep the site fresh and effective. You’ll also use digital analytics tools to monitor performance and suggest ways we can enhance the user experience.

As part of the Digital Marketing and Channels team, you’ll work closely with our email and social media teams to ensure our owned channels are aligned. You’ll lead on the delivery of our regular ‘News and Views’ articles in conjunction with our Strategic Communications team, and you’ll work closely with our Web Operations team to help identify and test new website features and fix technical issues.

Please note internally this role is known as Digital Channels Officer – Web.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content to serve a specific audience. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

You’ll have the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A good understanding of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex analytics and technical details clearly and accessibly to colleagues who may not have a technical background.

In this role, you’ll need to manage priorities effectively and work well under tight deadlines. You’ll be confident negotiating and handling challenging conversations when necessary.  Staying up to date with current web tools and digital content trends will be a real advantage as we continually improve our site.

About the Role

This is a dual-role position supporting both the Finance and HR functions of the charity. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budget management, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance who is looking to broaden their experience in HR.

What you will do

Finance

· Post transactions into our accounting software, Xero, ensuring that everything is accurately recorded and coded.

· Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, card payments and expenses, and organise a twice- monthly pay run.

· Perform bank reconciliations.

· Manage the accounts mailbox.

· Complete the quarterly gift aid claims.

· Support the Head of Finance and Resources with the completion of the monthly management accounts, financial reporting and budgeting.

· Maintain financial and other administrative records, e.g. fixed asset register.

HR

· Maintain up-to-date employee records and keep our HR Information System (Breathe HR) up to date.

· Support the HR Lead by producing monthly or quarterly reports from Breathe HR.

· Support recruitment processes including posting job adverts, scheduling interviews, obtaining references and assisting with onboarding and induction of new staff.

· Work with the HR Lead to ensure that HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with legislation.

Flexibility

Our staff who live in or near London operate on a hybrid model, working in our office within South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays. Full-time staff work in the office both those days and at home the rest of the week, while part-time staff who live in or near London are required to work in the office on one of those days, and at home for the rest of the week. We also have staff outside London who are fully home-based. We would ideally like the Finance and HR Officer to work in the London office on either Monday or Tuesday (or both if they would prefer that) but we are flexible as to when in the week the remainder of the hours are worked, provided that there is a consistent working pattern each week.

You will devise and implement a comprehensive strategy to build income from individuals across our full suite of giving schemes.  You will personally scope, secure and steward new major gifts from individuals, support your line report and manage your own portfolio of current and prospective donors.

About the role

Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service for England is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and over two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form peer support groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic person located in or close to Greater Manchester, and willing to travel into priority areas across the North West of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to: 

• Establish new peer support groups across a diverse range of communities 
• Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers 
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives 
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
• Support the sustainability of existing Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the Hub (our network support Team)
• Keep precise records to create reports, extract learning, and share key insights throughout Kinship, enabling the organisation to enhance our services and products continuously

In the role of Senior Peer Support Development Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers. 

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey toward sustainability.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of team leadership or line management and supervision of a small team and managing performance to deliver targets effectively.
• Proven experience in reaching and establishing strong relationships with hidden or underserved communities in person.
• Experience developing peer support communities.
• Proven experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers in community settings with an emphasis on understanding and working with vulnerable volunteers.  
• Proven experience of ensuring outcomes and impacts of services is evidenced through high-quality data collection.  
• Evidence of delivering training/support to volunteers, 
• Strong facilitation skills and essential experience of peer support or user led groups with charity beneficiaries.  
• Understanding of safeguarding particularly around vulnerable families.

The Head of Media is responsible for the Spokesperson Network and helping people in NEON’s networks make the most of media opportunities. They lead on strategy, developing high-level media contacts and managing staff associated with the programme. 

You will be someone who knows how to land stories and spokespeople in the media, capitalising on media and movement moments to push the conversation in a progressive direction. You’ll have a track record of jumping on opportunities, training spokespeople to deal with hostile interviews and staying calm under pressure. Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Email communications - management and scheduling of all email communications to the organisation's database and external audiences, management of email communication's calendar, management of Email Service Provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), maintaining integrity of email contact list, and writing copy, building, segmenting and sending emails.
• Support the Marketing Manager with planning, copywriting and coordination of the marketing of the organisation's campaigns across paid, organic and earned media.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of managing email campaigns for a variety of audiences, including drafting content, Email Service Provider (ESP) management (ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud), A/B testing and performance analysis.
• A good understanding of email data (open rate, click through rate, click through open rate etc.) and how to analyse it in order to inform on-going activity.
• Experience of using a range of analytics tools to help monitor, optimise and evaluate campaign performance including Google Analytics, CRMs and ESPs.
• Experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems (ideally Salesforce) to segment audiences, create campaigns, target audiences and report on activity.
• Experience of managing marketing and communications campaigns across owned, paid and earned channels.
• Management of campaigns and implementing tracking, undertaking evaluation based on performance of KPIs.
• Experience of copywriting and producing content for a range of channels and audiences.

The Charity:

 Aphasia Support is a passionate, community-centred charity. Our mission is to improve the wellbeing of people with Aphasia and their carers by providing tailored speech and language therapy and long-term support. We want to create a world where every person with Aphasia has access to support and can communicate with confidence. 

The charity currently has 4 staff members (Chief Executive, Fundraising & Communications Manager, Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, Administrator) and 8 Speech and Language Therapists working for the charity on a sessional basis. The sessional workers oversee our 1to1 support and aphasia cafes. The charity has over 60 volunteers who provide the 1to1 support and help run our aphasia cafes.

The Role:

Aphasia Support is looking to recruit a Community Engagement & Volunteer Officer who will work with the charity’s speech and language therapy team and volunteers in West Yorkshire, Harrogate and Barnsley to ensure our support reaches the people who need it most. 

We envisage this to be a split role: 

• 3 days focused on ensuring people in West Yorkshire, Harrogate and Barnsley receive timely support through the charity's community-based Aphasia Cafe's and at-home 1:1 speech and language therapy service.

• 2 days focused on overseeing the charity's volunteer recruitment and retention programme, ensuring Aphasia Support's valued volunteers receive the best possible experience, utilising their time and resource to create the biggest impact.

· Gaining a thorough understanding of the speech and language therapy apps used by the charity and supported conversation techniques. You will work towards being the resident expert on the speech and language therapy apps used by the charity.

· Matching people with aphasia with volunteers for our 1to1 support service within West Yorkshire, Harrogate and Barnsley.

· Completing initial appointments in the client’s home alongside volunteers. Taking speech and language therapy assessments and turning them into clear therapy plans that can be delivered confidently by the volunteers.

· Provide ongoing advice and support to volunteers and clients.

· Provide home based 1to1 support for clients, if required.

• Leading on volunteer recruitment for all areas of the charity by liaising with the charity’s Fundraising & Communications Manager alongside branch committees, volunteer centres, universities, colleges and NHS volunteering teams.

· Screening of new volunteers and administering of reference and DBS checks.

· Leading on the charity’s quarterly volunteer inductions.

· On occasion supporting the charity’s event fundraising calendar which will require some evening work.

· If required, supporting the running of the charity’s aphasia cafes.

· Completing other tasks which are commensurate with the role

Person Specification

Essential

· Good general level of education or equivalent work-based experience

· Excellent organisational skills and time management skills.

· Good administrative and record keeping skills including strong attention to detail.
