The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention. Accurate and timely administration, referrals, assessments, and service reviews are required, alongside participation in supervision, appraisals, training, and team development activities. The ideal candidate will have lived experience of mental health care pathways, including emergency department attendance, acute admissions, and community mental health services, alongside a solid understanding of the issues affecting individuals with a range of mental health conditions. They will be able to communicate effectively and provide support with dignity and respect, forming and sustaining trusting relationships with service users, carers, peer support workers, and professionals. Strong listening and verbal communication skills are essential to engage appropriately with service users in crisis, colleagues, and external agencies, both in person and over the phone. Knowledge of recovery tools, local mental health and wellbeing support, and the ability to assess needs, risks, and aspirations to provide appropriate signposting are required. The candidate will demonstrate strong prioritisation, time management, and the ability to work dynamically under pressure. Proficiency in IT, including MS Word, Outlook, and internet functions, as well as good literacy and numeracy skills to produce clear written correspondence, is expected. They will have a sound understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to address them appropriately, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and support the induction of new peer staff and volunteers. Strong communication, partnership building, and interpersonal skills are essential.

When will I be working?

You will be required to work between 5:00pm – 10:00pm on weekdays and 2:00pm – 10:00pm on weekends. Hours are scheduled on a rolling rota, which includes weekends and bank holidays.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

About the Programme

The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.

About the Role

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in fundraising and events management. As our Assistant Fundraising Events Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in Restless Development’s close-knit fundraising team, helping to deliver our flagship events — the Schools Triathlon.

You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including our volunteer Schools Triathlon Committee, schools, pupils, parents, and event delivery partners. A big part of your role will involve delivering fun and engaging school assemblies, encouraging pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.

Alongside this outward-facing work, you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support behind the scenes. This will include managing participant data in Excel, Eventrac, and Salesforce; uploading and running reports; processing donations (including cash and cheques); and ensuring our records are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems and processes (30%) 

• Manage the assembly tracker to ensure it is kept up to date, with relevant members of the team notified when new assemblies are booked in
• Maintain accurate records across our registration platform (Eventrac), our CRM system (Salesforce) and Excel, including registrations, fundraising data, and supporter information.
• Monitor and track fundraising progress for over 11,000 participants, encouraging and supporting them to reach their goals.
• Manage JustGiving pages, ensuring all fundraising activity is accurately logged.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, pupils, and parents, thanking and supporting them throughout their fundraising journey.

• Attend meetings with third party suppliers and schools when necessary

Event management and Communications (30%) 

• Support the planning and delivery of two Schools Triathlon events, including site visits, logistics, and on-the-day support.
• Coordinate event communications, including assembly slides, parent invites, and regular registration reports.
• Work collaboratively with the Schools Triathlon team to ensure smooth delivery of all events.

Others (10%) 

• Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with developing an individual giving process.
• Attend Schools Triathlon events (April–June) and occasional evening/weekend work for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided.
• Regular travel to schools is required, so access to a reliable vehicle is essential (travel costs will be reimbursed).
• Carry out any other duties as required to support the fundraising team.

The Senior Digital Marketing & Participation Manager will lead the AMA’s marketing and participation strategy, to build financial growth, visibility, and engagement through co-creation with our community of members. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.

We have an exciting opportunities for a Qualified and/ or Trainee Multidisciplinary Advocates to join our established and friendly Advocacy Team. 

We work for Rethink Advocacy, which is part of Rethink Mental Illness a national charity that has been transforming the lives of people severely affected by mental illness for over 50 years.

As an unqualified, inexperienced independent multi-disciplinary advocate, you will be required to enrol on the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and complete the course within a set timescale, using protected study time to focus on this. You will shadow experienced team members and then be observed providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services until you are able to pick up a caseload of your own. You will receive training in the different remits of advocacy, instructed and non-instructed advocacy and safeguarding and be supported to develop a thorough understanding of the role and boundaries of advocacy. The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. When providing non-instructed advocacy, you will ensure that the unique preferences and views of the person are taken into consideration in any decisions made by care providers.

As a qualified and / or experienced independent advocate, you will provide statutory and / or non-statutory independent advocacy to those who are eligible for the service within the community or care settings. This may include secure facilities, hospitals, care homes, supported living facilities and people within their own homes or temporary accommodation.
