Title: IT Service Desk Manager 

Reporting To: Director of Operations 

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Our office is based near Latimer Road, London.

Job Summary
Oversee our helpdesk, which acts as the first point of contact for requests for support from our staff and volunteers. Lead business as usual IT operations and support so our people have the tools they need to carry out their work. Work with correspondents to solve problems, allocate team members to tasks, resolve issues, and constantly improve processes, standards and service quality.
Key Responsibilities

Helpdesk

• Manage the team that runs our helpdesk to ensure it functions as well as it can and make sure routine tasks are always taken care of
• Oversee first-line support and provide second-line support for inbound enquiries, troubleshooting and solving cases wherever possible
• Identify common or emerging issues and support with identifying root causes to continually improve the service
• Engage with colleagues to escalate more complex issues for further support, coordinate their resolution if appropriate, and manage stakeholders
• Support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, deliver induction training for new starters, and assist with access management and offboarding

Team Leadership and development

• Manage the team that runs our helpdesk to ensure it functions as well as it can and make sure routine tasks are always taken care of

Devices and software

• Work with the technical team to ensure we deliver the IT service following industry best practice. Address gaps as required and continually monitor their effectiveness

Monitoring and KPIs

• Monitor the effectiveness of operational service, identify and respond to issues
• Maintain KPIs agreed with the Head of Operations and the Security Lead

Privacy, security, and audits

• Collaborate with the security team and auditors. Ensure services are delivered according to the ISMS objectives
• Action audit findings and collaborate on tackling systematic issues identified
• Routinely audit performance to make sure work is always of the highest standard and provide reports where necessary
• Ensure information is kept confidential, handled sensitively, and retained in accordance with our policies

The Association for Cultural Enterprises (AfCE) supports over 500 member organisations across the UK and internationally, helping the cultural sector generate earned income through commercial activity. Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide sound financial management for the Association and CET through:

• Statutory financial reporting in line with Charity SORP/UK GAAP, including annual returns to Companies House and the Charity Commission

• Management accounting, reporting and analysis to funders, management, staff, and Trustees/Directors

• Preparation and maintenance of budgets, forecasts and plans, including cashflows and project budgets

• Supervision and control of day-to-day accounting transactions, including oversight of the finance aspects of the Apprentice role

• Oversight and implementation of robust financial systems, policies, and procedures

• Responsible for financial queries, working with the Apprentice as first point of contact for external contacts
   

Main Duties

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record keeping, including coding, allocations, reconciliations, and tax accounting

• Oversee invoice generation and debt recovery processes

• Process payments and staff expenses for authorisation

• Produce regular management accounts on an accruals basis, providing interpretation and advice to the Executive Team, Finance & Risk Committee, Trustees/Directors, and funders

• Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with charity SORP and liaise with external auditors and the Treasurer

  • Filing confirmation statements and annual accounts for ACE and CET with Companies House and Charity Commission

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer to act as a technical lead on all cloud infrastructure and systems which involved complex solution design and implementation.
 

Role: 
•    This role is key to support and enable the successful completion of technology projects.

About the Role

In this new role, you will contribute to enhancing the finance function within a growing and dynamic international charitable foundation. The role will enable you to work and continue your professional development across many aspects of the finance function. 

You will play an important part in our finance team’s further growth and professionalisation as Mission 44 extends its reach as a charity working in multiple countries. Roles and Responsibilities

Accounting (40%)

• Oversee day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, for both the UK charity and the newly created US charity
• Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records of accounting evidence for all transactions are maintained

Mary Hare educates 200 profoundly deaf children at its residential school in Berkshire, and we pride ourselves on our pupils’ achievements at GCSE, A Level as well as B Tech and Vocational Courses. We offer the opportunity to teach highly motivated children, in small classes, where you can make a real difference at this national centre of excellence for deaf education. The Role:

The largest fundraising targets are related to capital projects that are outlined by the School.There are some revenue fundraising targets, including the bursary scheme. About this exciting opportunity

Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison.  You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.

We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales.  Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties.

• L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent (desirable)

We're now looking for an exceptional Senior PR and Press Officer to help us amplify voices, challenge persistent, negative narratives around the social security system, and shift public attitudes about financial insecurity. Ideally, you’ll already have solid PR and press experience within a charity or comparable organisation’s press office, excellent media contacts, and the strategic mindset to put people’s real lives and complex challenges front and centre in your storytelling.

You’ll be someone who writes clearly and persuasively, handles sensitive topics with genuine care, and who’s excited by the challenge of finding creative ways to engage diverse audiences. Your strong relationships with journalists will help us ensure the voices of people facing financial insecurity are represented accurately, widely, and compassionately in the media.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. All team members come into our welcoming Farringdon office at least once a week, and you'll be joining a warm, supportive team that believes in each other, celebrates great work, and loves what we do.

Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 1 day a week.

Business Development Officer £32,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus London Weighting if successful candidate is located in London

The successful candidate will grow 1MM’s community of employers and volunteer mentors and will support the CCO with growing the corporate income stream.

1MM Business Development Officer main tasks include: 

• Developing, own and executing 1MM’s employer and mentor recruitment strategy 

• Researching and identifying new employer and mentor opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, partnerships, or new ways of reaching mentors. 

• Sourcing enough new mentors (on top of 1MM’s existing base) to ensure 1MM has an oversupply (c.15% higher than demand) of fully trained, location relevant mentors available. This year the target is 1600 mentors and will double per year for the next two years. 

• Building a sustainable growth engine that ensures the pipeline of mentors remains sufficient on an ongoing basis through employer, professional and community networks. 

• Generating leads and cold call prospective employer and mentor partners. Tracking and updating all relationships on Salesforce. 

• Fostering and developing relationships with partners and sponsors so that you can generate repeat mentors as well as finding new opportunities 

• Working closely with 1MM colleagues to handover the mentor relationships to the right people across departments. 

• Supporting the CCO to grow 1MM’s corporate income stream by doing market research and mapping employers who support CSR, ESG, Diversity and Community Engagement strategies.

• Presenting with CCO to potential employer partners, hosting stalls at employer conferences and engaging staff networks. 

• Working with the Social Media and Marketing Executive to identify marketing campaigns and collateral in order to attract and recruit mentors. 

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs. 

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role. 

Person Competencies

1. At least 12 months relevant business development work experience (Essential) 

1. Experience of working in a target orientated environment, and to ambitious targets (Essential)

1. Superb attention to detail. 

1. Excellent relationship management skills, particularly at a senior level. 

1. A demonstrated knowledge of or a passion towards mentoring and social action. 

1. Comfortable with presenting to groups online and in-person. 

1. Comfortable with IT systems in general, specifically the MS365 suite and Salesforce. 

1. Confident and self-motivated with high standards of quality and the ability to stay focused in the face of changing priorities.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full-time role with an initial 6-month contract (continuing subject to funding). This role can be done remotely from within our main regions (Greater London, Greater Manchester, Cardiff City Region), with one day in the office per week if located within 45mins of a regional office location. 

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £32,000 per annum (pro rata) - London Weighting will apply to those living in London.  Up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro-rata) plus 3 concessionary days over Christmas.
