ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join our central HR team. You’ll support a group of academies, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and workforce initiatives, while contributing to projects that shape the future of education.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of a generalist HR advisory service to the Federation and our Academies, providing up to date and informed HR guidance and support on HR policies, processes and systems
- Providing professional advice and support to Federation and Academy leaders in all areas of HR practice and employee relations such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management and sickness absence management, escalating complex cases as appropriate to the Head of HR and HR Business Partners
- Supporting the HR Business Partner with organisation change programmes including redundancy, restructuring and TUPE transfers; preparing documents, supporting planning, due diligence completion etc.
- Participating in the development and delivery of HR policy skills workshops for line managers and academy HR
- Assisting with end-to-end employee lifecycle and payroll processes
- Preparing HR documents and create and maintain templates
- Producing management information reports
- Evaluating job descriptions and providing advice and guidance on salary bandings to ensure a consistent and fair approach
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

The Team

The Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to play a key role providing expert analysis and conducting research on the high essential costs facing older people in financial hardship and advocating for policy change in this area. As part of the Policy and Influencing directorate, you will contribute to strategic thinking, lead research and policy development projects using a range of methods and work across the directorate to build relationships and secure change.
You should have experience of driving forward a policy theme, including identifying policy problems, developing credible and evidence based solutions and working towards securing change. We are looking for experience of working independently as well as collaborating effectively across a high performing influencing function. We are seeking a Funding Officer to join our passionate and friendly team in Northern Ireland.
This permanent position is part of our Southern Team, which covers the following Council areas: Ards and North Down, Mid Ulster, Newry Mourne and Down and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon. Led by a Funding Manager and supported by four other Funding Officers, you will be responsible for the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas while also working flexibly across the wider local team to help meet the demands of our funding programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering over £30m annually to support communities and create real impact across Northern Ireland
Based primarily in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas, you will work from home and within local community settings. The role will also require travel to our Belfast office (around once every couple of weeks) as well as occasional visits to other parts of the Southern team area.
This is a varied and rewarding role and involves assessing funding applications across our programmes, managing grants and monitoring progress and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will use your local knowledge and experience to help ensure funding is directed where it can make the greatest difference to places, people and communities who experience poverty, disadvantage and discrimination.

London Support Programme - Prison Caseworker

Role summary
The London Support Programme (LSP) is a pilot service delivered by the Hardman Trust, providing pre- and post-release support to people on long sentences who are returning to London. This first year of delivery has enabled us to begin offering support, and we are now refining the programme for its next stage.
We are recruiting two part-time, Prison Caseworkers to deliver frontline support, ensuring that people serving long sentences continue to receive consistent, personalised help in preparing for release and rebuilding their lives.
As a Prison Caseworker, you will provide one-to-one, person-centred support focused on wellbeing, confidence-building, and preparation for life after release.
You will support people to set meaningful goals, connect with services, and problem-solve challenges along the way.
The role involves building trusting relationships, promoting the programme across the prison, keeping accurate records, and contributing to the continued development of this pilot into a sustainable, long-term service.
You will be managed and supported by the Head of Service Delivery.
Core responsibilities

One-to-one support delivery – Provide tailored support to people in prison signed up to the LSP, including initial support planning, goal-setting, problem-solving and referrals to both internal (e.g. Grants, Research Volunteers, Penfriends) and external services.

Remote support – Provide light-touch support to LSP participants released from prison, during their initial weeks of resettlement, using telephone/video calls, and email to check in, offer guidance, and help address early challenges.

Service promotion – Actively promote the LSP within pilot and potential partner prisons to increase sign-ups and engagement.

Administration – Keep accurate, timely records of support activities and outcomes using Salesforce and NOMIS systems.

Service development – Support the Head of Service Delivery by contributing learning and feedback from frontline delivery, to inform the ongoing refinement of the programme model and resources.

Collaboration & team contribution - Work closely with colleagues to promote products and services, gather and analyse user feedback, and ensure continuous improvement. Contribute to organisational reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.

About SOS – Silence of Suicide
Founded in 2015 by Michael and Yvette Mansfield, SOS Silence of Suicide exists to break the silence around mental health and suicide. Initially a peer-support group, SOS is now a growing charity offering multi-channel support services via a national helpline, mobile hubs, and in-person outreach. With around 45 staff and volunteers, SOS is poised for further expansion and impact and is seeking a strategic and compassionate CEO to lead us through the next exciting phase of development.
The Role
The Chief Executive Officer will lead SOS’s strategic direction, operations, partnerships and fundraising. This includes shaping long-term sustainability, developing our team and enhancing our voice in national conversations centered around suicide prevention and mental health.

Job Purpose
As a Night Shelter Manager, you’ll be the lead staff member for your shift, overseeing the safe and smooth running of one of Glass Door’s seasonal night shelters between November and April.
You’ll work alongside Overnight Homeless Shelter Workers and volunteers on your shift to make sure the shelter is a welcoming, safe, and respectful place for up to 35 guests. Your role is to set the tone for the night: briefing the team before opening, welcoming and inducting new guests, explaining our shelter guidelines, and ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities. You’ll be the first point of contact for any issues during your shift, whether that’s supporting someone in distress, addressing concerns or responding to challenging behaviour.
You’ll also ensure shelter procedures are followed, keep accurate records of attendance and incidents, and maintain clear communication with the casework team so they can follow up with guests. Alongside leading operations, you’ll actively work with guests, volunteers, and colleagues to create a friendly and supportive environment where everyone is treated with dignity.
This role is ideal for someone who can remain calm under pressure, lead a small team confidently, and is committed to supporting people as they work towards ending their homelessness; all while making sure the night shelter runs smoothly from start to finish.
Job Description
As the lead staff member for your shift, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and safe running of the shelter during your working hours. You’ll work closely with Overnight Homeless Shelter Workers and volunteers, setting the tone for the night and making sure everything runs to plan.
