The Diana Award are thrilled to invite you to volunteer for our Mentoring Programme this Autumn 2025, which operate across London.
We collaborate with volunteer mentors to support young people aged 14-18 who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) through mentoring interventions, career skills development programmes, and support with their youth-led social action projects.
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER AS A MENTOR?
We welcome applicants of all industries and levels of experience. Through mentoring you will gain skills in communication and leadership, building empathy and understanding of issues and barriers facing young people in their communities.
OUR MENTORING PROGRAMMES
We will be running our exciting Twelve-week Mentoring Programme from October 2025 - February 2026, across London, in the boroughs of Enfield, Tower Hamlets and Sutton.
The programme will involve:

Twelve weeks of in-person weekly mentoring sessions that last one hour (excluding travel) and are delivered on the same day and time each week.

Group mentoring, where a group of volunteer mentors work together to support a group of mentees, with the help of a Diana Award Facilitator.

Volunteer mentors will share advice and guidance with young people who are at risk of becoming NEET.
We will train you to mentor and provide ongoing support for the duration of your programme.
The Diana Award can provide you with a professional reference, paid for DBS check, and refund your travel expenses in exchange for your voluntary work.

Responsibilities

Commit to weekly sessions for twelve weeks, demonstrating consistency and punctuality. Mentoring Programme sessions last 60 to 90 minutes (excluding travel time). Follow through is key when working with young people at risk of becoming NEET.

Collaborate with a Diana Award Facilitator and other volunteer mentors to deliver and support group mentoring sessions within a school setting.

Review session plans and prepare for weekly sessions. Communicate weekly and in a timely manner with other volunteer mentors and a Diana Award Facilitator.

Create a safe and positive learning environment and provide young people with encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback.

Nurture positive relationships with young people. Listen, understand, and acknowledge their feelings and experiences.

About the Study
We're conducting an 8-week research project to understand how targeted acts of kindness affect both givers and receivers. Our research aims to gather evidence on how personalised kindness activities might improve mental wellbeing, reduce feelings of loneliness, and enhance life satisfaction.
What's Involved
- Complete an initial onboarding survey about your personality traits, preferences, and wellbeing
- Participate in our 8-week programme

Position Overview
This is an exciting and unique internship opportunity supporting SEED Madagascar’s media and communications output. Duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for planning and drafting platform-specific content for SEED’s social media accounts and support with the implementation of a new TikTok strategy, following a clear briefing from the Media and Communications Coordinator and Officer.
2. Using video editing software CapCut to produce video content for use on SEED’s TikTok and Instagram accounts.
3. Using Canva to produce exciting visual content for use across SEED’s social media accounts, ensuring that all brand guidelines are adhered to.
4. Monitoring and reporting on performance KPIs for SEED’s online output.
5. Support the management and arrangement of SEED Madagascar’s image drive, suggesting images that are appropriate for use in our online output from a bank of photographs.

Qualifications

The role: Our scholars are eager to meet graduates and professionals who can support them in achieving their ambitions. Educators and facilitators wanted to help East London Waterworks Park deliver its environmental learning goals.
East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces.
We are looking for educator and facilitator volunteers to participate in our community-led working group, who are collaborating with schools, universities and youth groups that help the design of the park.

The Learning Circle currently meets monthly on a Wednesday evening at 8pm for an hour on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.
You should be an experienced teacher, educational consultant, forest school leader, training and development specialist, learning designer, facilitator or any other kind of role creating learning projects, programmes and experiences. Our roles are quite flexible. We hope that people bring radical imagination, peace with nature, and courageous inclusiveness to the role.
Your support will help young people and learners improve their environmental knowledge of design and research as well as contributing to our community-owned park. This will in turn provide a sense of stewardship over the land once the park is created and student's ideas have been built into the park.
Creating learning projects with educational institutions will also help our charity with the strategy to buy the land through showing the value of our environmental education programme before we create the park.

Role Summary
The Careers & Enterprise Company is looking for passionate young people aged 14–25 who are interested in shaping the CEC’s work to join its Youth Advisory Group.
It doesn’t matter where you’re from, your background, or how much experience you have with careers education – your voice matters, and CEC wants to hear it. CEC would love to hear from you whether you are still in education, you are embarking on your career journey, you’ve left education and are still deciding what to do, or whether you are now in employment.
CEC welcomes applications from those with experience in secondary schools, colleges or further education, specialist provision (such as PRU or SEND schools), home-schooled, T Levels, apprenticeship programmes and other training. Whatever your experience, CEC wants to hear from you!
CEC would like to hear from young people who are:
- Between the ages of 14 and 25 years old.
- Living in England.
- Passionate about improving the careers education system for all young people.
As a member of the Youth Advisory Group, you will:
- Govern: play a key role in challenging and guiding CEC to embed youth voice at every level of its work.
- Enrich: help CEC design products and strategies that are more inclusive, effective, and impactful for all young people.
- Advocate: bring more young voices into the conversation and help to improve careers education for everyone in the system.

As a growing organisation we are seeking to strengthen our Board through the appointment of 3 new trustees with a passion for supporting young people in to pathways towards meaningful and sustained employment and rewarding careers.
We are particularly looking for trustees who can demonstrate skills or experience in one or more of the following areas to enhance our Governance.
- Local Government experience
- Experience within the education sector
- Experience of policy, lobbying and campaigning
We are also seeking Young Trustees (under 25 years old) to represent youth voice on our Board. Ideally this will be someone with relevant lived experience and/or someone who has participated in Spark! programmes.
We welcome candidates with links to our priority areas of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow, and from ethnic minority and black backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve.
