The Trustees of The Pixel Fund are excited to appoint the Fund’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to oversee the next stage of its growth and development following further generous bequests by the Trust’s settlors, and with planned increases in the level of future grant-making.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills, experience and aptitude to work with the Trustees to refine and support delivery of The Pixel Fund’s overall vision and strategy, and to be the public face of the charity.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the charity, currently carried out by a part-time administrator, which position is to be discontinued following the CEO appointment.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working in a leadership role with a board of Trustees, ideally with hands-on experience in grant-making and grant management, including managing a portfolio of live grant-holders.Strong financial and budgetary management skills are also desirable, in particular to reduce the Charity’s reliance on the Voluntary Treasurer.

Hours and place of work are flexible, but as all Trustees are based in the South-East of England, that location is desirable. This role will really be suited to someone interested in developing and strengthening systems and processes & providing financial oversight, whilst working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management oversight on the project, verifying project-specific transactions and ensuring that financial data is up-to-date; and ensuring adherence to the organisation’s financial policies.

Requirements

• Experience of donor compliance and reporting, including of institutional donors with complex compliance and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and Grants Administration

• Leads the development and delivery of short, medium and long-term fundraising strategies for DPI
• Identifies and nurtures the successful implementation of appropriate grant funding and contracting
• Researches and assesses DPI’s eligibility in line with DPI strategy and donor criteria
• Produces and submits grants proposals, expressions of interest and donor reports

Donor Relations

• Manages and develops external relationships as a representative of DPI, attending meetings and public events where necessary

Financial Management

• Helps to develop and implement the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting and reporting processes along with the Finance Manager and the CEO
• Collaborates with Programmes Officers with regards to the allocation of expenditure across budget lines and donors, to ensure compliance with grant contracts.
• Assists the Finance Manager in their work on audit preparations of accounts at the end of the financial year, and ensures the timely drafting of the Trustee report

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience  in grant administration, ideally with a focus on governmental and intergovernmental funding with strong numerical skills and some budgeting experience.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for an Interim Supporter Care Manager to join our Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team based in London.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

The Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team deliver the Fundraising strategy and provide high quality operations to support the Fundraising Directorate.  The team has a variety of different functions including Supporter Care, Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications as well as general administration. This role will be managing the Supporter Care team of three people.

About you

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a busy supporter care environment, working to tight deadlines
• Experience of writing donor correspondence and creating data capture guidance
• Proven experience of supporter care campaign management including creating clear processes and flow charts and managing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to develop strong working relationships with external suppliers and internal departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and produce written documents to a high standard

What you’ll be doing

• • Overseeing the Supprter Care team, leading and managing the vision of the team and ensuring that outstanding levels of service are provided to our supporters.
  • Third party supplier management- pint of contact for third party suppliers, advising on process from Supporter Care prospective.
  • Budget Management - managing the annual Supprter Care budget for fulfilment.
  • Cntact Centre and Zendesk Management - providing proactive and responsive support to Fundraising teams to enhance fundraising efforts

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity that aims to support young people to make safe choices about drugs and alcohol and reduce harm. We do this through increasing understanding of the effects and risks, and helping to develop life skills and resilience. The Foundation was set up in January 2014 by Tim and Fiona Spargo-Mabbs in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Daniel having taken ecstasy

We are recruiting a Drugs Education Coordinator (Scotland) to join our team. This role will involve the coordination and delivery of DSMF drug education in Scotland, based in the Grampian region, working with the Head of Education and Engagement and Director to develop provision regionally and more widely.

Suitable candidates will:

• be passionate about supporting young people to make safer choices about drugs and alcohol
• have experience of developing and delivering drug and/or alcohol education in schools, colleges and/or the community
• have experience of working with young people, including a knowledge of substance use and its impacts
• have experience of project coordination, with excellent organisation skills
• be a skilled and effective communicator, both in writing and orally, with a wide range of people and agencies
• enjoy working remotely in a small and busy team

Laurence’s Larder is a small, dynamic and beloved local charity that feeds over 300 people a week. Working with a vibrant team of over 90 volunteers Laurence’s Larder provides a weekly food parcel service, two-course sit down meal, clothes bank, art café and access to support and advice services.

Laurence’s Larder is non-referral and open to all, we bring people together, alleviating both social isolation and food poverty, while utilising surplus food. We are also endeavouring to help address some of the underlying needs that contribute to food poverty, and continue to add more support services to our offerings.

Our warm welcome and non-judgmental approach means that we can help our guests to begin to meet their daily needs with not only dignity but practical help.

We are looking for an individual who shares these values for the role of Operations Manager; to oversee the day-to-day running of our services, leading and supporting the volunteers to do this, ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety & food hygiene standards, support the Project Director to achieve agreed outcomes and goals.

We are currently looking at expanding our services by adding an additional service day a week on Tuesdays. This role provides the unique opportunity to be a part of the creation of this service.

If you are someone who loves being part of a team, is interested in food and sustainability, then this is the role for you. This is not a 9-to-5 desk job, this is a role for someone who enjoys being active, thinking on their feet and getting “stuck in”.

Our ideal candidate would have experience working with a team, but also self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision. Strong organisational and planning skills, as well as good people management and interpersonal skills are essential. Understanding or experience of the voluntary sector would be helpful, as would customer service experience.
