This new role is central to how we connect people, organisations and expertise across the humanitarian sector—overseeing our global consultancy roster, strengthening equitable partnerships, and ensuring that local and national actors can access the leadership and learning support they need before, during, and after crises.
Working across teams, regions and functions, you will lead efforts to embed collective leadership, locally led action, and sustainable delivery models into the HLA's work. About the role
The Humanitarian Mobilisation and Partnerships Senior Lead plays a key role in strengthening collaboration, mobilising expertise, and driving systemic change in line with the HLA Strategy 2025-2027. This role ensures that the HLA's initiatives are rooted in equitable partnerships, locally led action, and collective leadership efforts rather than isolated interventions.
The role will provide strategic oversight, coordination, and innovation to ensure that the HLA's work in leadership, learning and partnerships is aligned with global and regional humanitarian priorities. It will also focus on expanding access to leadership and learning opportunities, ensuring local actors and organisations are at the centre of crisis preparedness, response, and recovery.
With increasing funding pressures and shifting donor priorities, the way humanitarian expertise is mobilised needs to evolve. This role will help shape how leadership, learning and partnerships connect, ensuring that humanitarian action is driven by those closest to the crisis and that resources are used effectively to strengthen long-term capacity.
In this role, you will:
• Provide strategic oversight for the HLA's consultancy roster, ensuring it remains a dynamic and responsive mechanism for supporting humanitarian leadership and crisis response.
• Strengthen engagement with local, regional, and international partners, ensuring that collaboration extends beyond funding relationships and actively contributes to collective leadership efforts.
• Ensure that expertise is effectively mobilised, working with networks, rosters and partner organisations to improve accessibility to humanitarian learning and leadership opportunities.
• Support the development of equitable partnerships, ensuring that the HLA's approach to working with local actors reinforces their agency and decision-making power, rather than perpetuating extractive models of engagement.
• Contribute to funding sustainability, identifying opportunities to strengthen cost-recovery models, diversify revenue streams, and align the HLA's work with emerging donor priorities.
• Advocate for a shift in how leadership expertise is mobilised in humanitarian settings, working with partners and sector leaders to influence policy, funding models, and capacity development approaches.
About you
We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills
• Direct experience of contributing to the mobilisation of humanitarian expertise, such as managing or delivering through rosters, surge mechanisms, or regional leadership networks, ideally in ways that connected people to timely leadership, learning, or crisis response support.
• A strong track record of developing and maintaining partnerships with national and local actors, where collaboration is structured, accountable, and grounded in shared goals, not just relationship management but delivering through partnerships in practice.
• Ability to think strategically and systemically, including identifying where partnerships, mobilisation efforts, or resourcing models can shift leadership closer to crisis-affected contexts.
• Demonstrated experience aligning partnership or mobilisation work with organisational strategies and funding opportunities, including contributing to proposals, working within donor frameworks, and supporting sustainable delivery models.
• Confidence working across diverse geographies and cultures, with experience building respectful relationships that centre the knowledge, agency and priorities of local actors.
• Experience working across multiple teams or departments, contributing to cross-functional delivery and helping build joined-up ways of working across strategy, programmes, operations, and business development functions.
• Good working knowledge of leadership and capacity strengthening in humanitarian settings, with specific insight into what's needed to support locally led leadership in crisis contexts.
• A visible commitment to equity and inclusion, including examples of how you have advocated for underrepresented groups.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, including experience preparing external materials (e.g. for partners, donors, or networks), contributing to strategic conversations, and sharing learning.
• Experience of contributing to financial management, including helping shape project budgets, aligning delivery to cost recovery models, and ensuring work is delivered responsibly within resource constraints.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). About the Role
As Education Officer, you will coordinate and deliver the Education Programme across schools, colleges, and youth settings in the North West. Working closely with the National Education Programme Manager, you will also support the development of new resources and manage relationships with partner institutions. We are looking for a digitally-savvy, creative and data-driven Digital Fundraising Officer to help drive income and supporter engagement across all digital channels. This is a new and exciting role within our growing fundraising and income generation.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering effective digital fundraising campaigns – from planning and copywriting, through to creative development, audience targeting and performance analysis. You’ll manage content across Hourglass’s fundraising webpages, and support the delivery of integrated, multi-channel campaigns that raise vital income and increase the visibility of our mission.

Supporter Journeys and Data
- Build and optimise email supporter journeys using CRM and email tools (e.g. Donorfy, Mailchimp).

The purpose of the Transport and Physical Activity Lead is to work in partnership with the four Transport Teams across the Black Country to integrate physical activity into Transport planning and delivery.
The role will focus on supporting the implementation of the Black Country Walking and Cycling Infrastructure Plan (BC LCWIP), ensuring localised improvements are considered further to ensure connectivity between communities and the active travel infrastructure being delivered.
The role will have responsibility for developing understanding of the walking and cycling landscape and community need.
The role will understand how the BC LCWIP needs to be able to capitalise on both available and emerging funding opportunities to help deliver the cycling and walking vision for the area. The funding, however, is not only limited to the delivery of infrastructure but also to ensuring the right resources and skills are in place to support local activation.

The Head of Finance is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of Modern Art Oxford and is responsible for managing and reporting on the finances of the charity, acting as Company Secretary.

Finance
- To work closely with the Director on the preparation of the business plan and to take a leading role within SMT on monitoring and reporting to ensure its successful delivery.

Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is an international NGO that has been working with indigenous peoples and forest peoples since 1990. We work in 18 countries across South and Central America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, with around 50 partner organisations based in the tropical forest belt.
We work directly and in solidarity with communities and peoples, supporting them to secure their rights to their traditional lands, territories, and resources, protect their forests and ways of life, and choose their own futures.
The role
Consistent with our Theory of Change, Forest Peoples Programme’s advocacy and communications strategies are diverse and decentralized. They are generated in a largely bottom-up way with our partners, via our program staff (organised in country and thematic teams). This allows us to be sensitive to local social, political and legal contexts, and partner priorities. It also guides our highly collaborative approach to communications.
Communications at FPP is as much about facilitating exchanges among partners and between Indigenous peoples and forest peoples, as it is about communicating with policy makers, academics, and a broader public. FPP’s core principle of the right to self-determination means that we strive to ensure that FPP’s own ‘voice’ is consistent with the priorities and aspirations of Indigenous peoples and forest peoples. That we compliment and amplify, but neither diminish nor eclipse, the voices of Indigenous peoples and forest peoples themselves.
FPP’s communications team is embarking on a period of restructuring and reorienting. The goal is to become better placed to support a strategic approach to communications in our programmatic and country-focused work, while retaining a core function of handling FPP’s central/organizational communications needs.
As part of that restructuring, this new post of Senior Media and Communications Officer will serve a dual purpose of providing additional capacity in the day-to-day activities of the department, and taking a leading role in rolling out our restructuring plans. There may be some responsibilities around cultivating media relations, and/or line management responsibilities, depending on the profile of the successful candidate. The role reports directly to the Communications Coordinator, who will be working restricted hours for the first 10 months of this appointment.
FPP works with 52 long-term partners and allies, across 18 countries. The Senior Media and Communications Officer will gain a good working knowledge of the entire landscape, and intimate knowledge of some specific contexts in which FPP teams are focused. Fundamentally of course, we are all accountable to the Indigenous peoples and forest peoples we work with and for.
Initially, the role is likely to have a heavy focus on rolling out the new team structure and strategy, transitioning within a year to focus more on media relations or advocacy-linked strategic communications, depending on the profile of the recruit.
About you
This post would suit an experienced practitioner with a good understanding of communicating in a multilingual, cross-cultural, and highly consultative environment. Additional languages (especially French or Bahasa Indonesia) are a distinct advantage.

- At least 5 years’ experience in communications work in an international, collaborative, and advocacy-focussed environment. This will have ideally been within an indigenous peoples’ organisation, or NGO, advocacy or international context.

- Demonstrable experience of strategic thinking regarding advocacy, communications and media, and in planning and implementing projects in a collaborative way.
- Demonstrable experience of communicating complex advocacy issues and grassroots experiences in compelling, creative ways, to a wide range of audiences across a wide range of media.
- Strong media relations experience, at national and international levels. An existing network of relevant media contacts is a distinct advantage.
- You must be able to manage your own workload, and set your own limits. You will need to have the confidence to say no to colleagues, and the people skills to maintain positive working relationships while you do so. A positive attitude, and an ability to be sensitive, flexible and adaptable to changing contexts and evolving strategies, is vital.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with demonstratable experience of writing copy, editing and publishing for print and digital media. Experience in producing multimedia products (films, animations, graphics, podcasts, websites etc) is also highly desirable.

We’re looking for a compassionate, child-centred practitioner to join our friendly Children and Young People’s team as an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner.
This role focuses on delivering structured 1:1, group, and class-based emotional wellbeing support for children aged 8–13. You’ll work closely with schools to help children develop emotional literacy, resilience, and coping skills, with a particular focus on supporting Year 6 transitions.
You’ll build safe, trusted relationships, adapt interventions to meet individual needs, and coordinate support with families, schools, and other professionals. Our Safety Net service has been working with children and families since 1995, and children’s voices are at the heart of everything we do.
