Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

The Student-Led Projects Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the Volunteering Service’s successful programme of student-led volunteering. Duties include supporting a caseload of student-led volunteering projects, providing guidance & supervision for leaders and ensuring that Volunteering Service’s policies and procedures are followed, delivering training to students as part of the SLVP training programme and to contribute to the development of that training, monitoring expenditure of student projects against their approved budgets.

This Vacancy is to cover maternity leave from September 2020 until 30 June 2021.

Key Requirements

The post-holder will have experience of supporting small self-directed volunteering groups, experience of delivering training programmes, experience of project management, experience of volunteering in at least two different settings, knowledge of the UK volunteering sector, knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management, the ability to coach and support student leaders to deliver good quality community projects, the ability to build relationships with contacts, colleagues and service providers to effectively develop a project through to successful completion.
