Job Purpose
This administrative based role is to manage community volunteering at BOST, including existing gardening volunteers, volunteer wardens for Crossbones Graveyard and to manage the recruitment and induction of new volunteers and wardens. This will be facilitated primarily through our volunteer programmes but also by the management of contracts, events, partnership working and local networks, and by raising awareness of BOST’s work through traditional and new marketing channels.

Volunteering

To work with the Community Engagement Facilitator to recruit volunteers and wardens from a wide range of backgrounds to participate in BOST programmes and other aspects of the charity by developing and maintaining relationships with local community groups, partner organisations, businesses and individuals.

Working with the Community Engagement Facilitator to target and ensure equal access for individuals from marginalised groups such as speakers of other languages, young people and people with disabilities.

To liaise with project staff to match volunteers with suitable volunteering opportunities and to induct new recruits.

To oversee the Crossbones Graveyard Volunteer Wardens calendar and WhatsApp group.

To keep up to date with legislation, policies and best practice related to volunteering.

To manage the Investing in Volunteers accreditation in preparation for assessment, every 3 years.

To update volunteer policies and procedures and ensure necessary modifications to accommodate changes

To ensure volunteers have a positive experience and their achievements are recognised and celebrated.

To develop incentives and recognition arrangements for volunteers, including nominating volunteers for awards and providing enrichment activities.

To develop and maintain links with external agencies/partners to ensure up to date sign-posting and referral systems to support volunteers with additional needs.

To represent BOST, attending events such as networking meetings, volunteer fairs, fundraisingevents and community events to promote our activities.

To act as line manager from time-to-time for individual volunteers and referrals as well as the Community Engagement Facilitator to support BOST projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to transmit key messages quickly and clearly and to relate positively to users, staff, stakeholders and partners.

Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with local community groups, partner organisation, businesses and other stakeholders electronically, telephonically and in person.

Previous experience of volunteer co-ordination and management, working with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

The Gift Processing Manager works within Supporter Services, with line management responsibility of the Gift Processing Coordinator. You will manage and have oversight for all the processing of donations, and will ensure it is processed to a high standards, along with the successful monthly reconciliation.
You will collaborate with diverse teams on new fundraising projects and initiatives to assess how Gift Processing can best assist and add value, delivering training sessions to new starters, explaining sometimes complex financial processes to various stakeholders.

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Fundraising Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Income and Partnerships Development team. This person will be reporting to the Head of Partnerships and will coordinate all fundraising activities and volunteers from our alumni, sponsor firms and SEO London supporters. This will be a hands-on role that includes project management, teamwork, reporting and a proactive approach to fundraising initiatives. Additionally, responsibilities include the preparation of cases for support for funding applications and providing guidance for proposal drafting. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining and reporting on funding requirements, encompassing impact reports, milestones, and renewals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Further Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies: Work closely with the Head of Partnerships to further develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. Execute fundraising plans to achieve income targets and ensure long-term sustainability.
- Grant Writing and Proposal Development: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, government organisations and other donor oganisations. Prepare grant expressions of interest, proposals and applications that effectively communicate the need for our work and SEO London’s mission, programmes, and impact.
- Fundraising Events Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including F1 challenges, Royal Parks Half Marathon and any other fundraising activities. Oversee all aspects of event logistics, marketing, sponsorship, and volunteer coordination.
- Fundraising Volunteers Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer interactions and contributions using excel and other tools. Volunteers to include sponsor firm reps, alumni, our students and other SEO London supporters. Generate reports and analytics to track fundraising progress and campaign effectiveness.
- Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all funder reporting obligations and milestones, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submissions of reports. Accurately recording and tracking donor contributions, pledges, and grants received.
- Marketing and communication: Work closely with the marketing and communication team to raise awareness of fundraising activities through campaigns on social media and other marketing campaigns.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with programmes leads, finance team, marketing and alumni team, to engage firm volunteers, alumni, students and SEO London staff to have a big splash as to our fundraising activity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, business administration, or a related field.
Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have at least 2 years relevant and relatable work experience in a similar role.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for applicants who have at least 2 years demonstrable experience in some of the following areas and will be willing to learn and develop others:
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing or related roles within the nonprofit sector.

We are looking for an experienced Grants and Commissioning Manager to join our dynamic Fundraising team. This role will lead on all our trusts and foundations approaches, playing an integral role in growth and development of the portfolio and work in partnership with the CEO to lead on bids/tenders for commissioned services. Role Purpose
Responsible for developing and delivering our Fundraising strategies, to secure appropriate funding to ensure the sustainable delivery of high-quality services by Home-Start Essex.
As Grants and Commissioning Manager you will use your experience and skills to identify and lead approaches to trusts, foundations, company foundations, statutory and other organisations securing funding from £5k-£800K+. You will create high quality approaches and deliver against financial targets, proactively supporting opportunities to source income to support children and families within Essex.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with high levels of motivation, and a skilled writer with the ability to work autonomously and build on the strong foundations we have in place.
Specific Responsibilities
· Lead on delivering key areas of the Grants and Commissioning strategy and operational plan to establish a strong and sustainable funding base and support our growth ambition by delivering income targets year on year.
· To write compelling applications/bids, cases for support and reports, working in collaboration with the Finance Manager, Family Services Manager and Systems and Information Officer and tailoring the information for the audience, ensuring submission within required deadlines.
· Develop first class relationships with the portfolio of existing and new trust funders, commissioning partners, delivering the highest levels of donor care, by always providing excellent stewardship and ensuring all reporting requirements are fully met.
· Lead on horizon scanning for trust funders, creating a prospecting programme for new opportunities to grow the portfolio. Utilising existing networks, specialist funding sites and referrals.
· Lead on researching prospects for commissioned services, seeking opportunities to work in partnership where appropriate through utilising existing networks and procurement/tender platforms.
· Develop processes to be used across Home-Start Essex, to codify our approach to grant management and ensure appropriate escalation points across the organisation.
· Work both independently and with colleagues to develop content for proposal to funders, ensuring information is accurate and compelling, to generate funding for restricted and core work.
· Maintain and develop Home-Start Essex’s case for support templates and support materials, liaising closely with the senior management team and marketing team and adhering to brand guidelines and key messaging.
· Manage the grant/trust fundraising programme via Beacon CRM, developing account management and stewardship activities and maintaining detailed records of all communications.
· Ensure that successful bids/tenders and grant/trust applications are handed over to the Family Services Manager and Area Lead Co-ordinators with clear milestones, outputs, outcomes and evaluation/reporting requirements via Implementation meetings.
Reporting
· To provide regular activity, income and pipeline updates to the CEO and Finance & Business Development Committee.
· Maintain accurate records of income and restrictions.
· Ensure that progress against KPIs and pipeline is effectively monitored and reported, flagging concerns and developments in good time.
· Ensuring pipeline development by maintaining the database, recording all stewardship actions and communications.
Other duties
· To help at fundraising events from time to time.
· To work closely with other members of the fundraising department to provide data and leads to help them maximise income for the charity.
· Manage resources for the Fundraising team and contribute to budgeting and preparation for financial audits/reviews.
· To develop an in-depth knowledge of HSE and understanding of HSE’s work.
· To keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and comply with relevant legislation.
· To act as an ambassador for the fundraising department and the charity both internally and externally.
· To undertake any other assignments within the fundraising department and wider organisation as required.
· To develop and implement short, medium and long-term strategic business and funding plans for Home-Start Essex, as part of the senior management team, subject to Board approval.
Marketing
Work with the Digital Communications & Marketing team to ensure consistent and co-ordinated approach to the promotion of Home-Start Essex in the following areas:
· Create and distribute press releases to ensure regular and positive promotion of Home-Start Essex.
· Coordinate and schedule key promotional messages to our supporters and the wider public.
· Ensure branding, language and content for all fundraising communications are in line with the Home-Start Essex’s strategy, vision and values.
This role is part of the Senior Management Team within Home-Start Essex.

Overall Description
The Director of Programs oversees the management of Grassroot Soccer’s priority partnership geographies (Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zimbabwe) while strengthening the technical assistance to Partners in all geographies as well as coordinating new partnerships globally. The Director of Programs will work closely with the Vice President, Impact and Operations and Director of Strategy and Innovation to develop strategic plans for all Partnership geographies. This position is strategic for Grassroot Soccer, contributing to the organization’s mission and the GRS 5 Year Strategic Plan. The Director of Programs – Maternity Cover would assume the responsibilities of the Director of Programs position while the Director of Programs is on maternity leave.
Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is a rapidly growing adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in developing countries to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities. Since 2002, GRS programs have reached 13 million young people in over 60 countries with life-saving HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health information and services. Grassroot Soccer is looking to continue scaling its impact via partnerships over the next five years.
The Grassroot Soccer Partnerships (GP) team stewards GRS relationships with a wide range of partner organizations globally. The GP team supports these organizations to integrate the GRS model into their adolescent health strategies and coordinates the remote and in person technical support to these organizations to increase their capacity to deliver GRS interventions. This technical assistance includes but is not limited to program design, product development, monitoring and evaluation, Coach development, program optimization, youth engagement, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Grant Management across all Priority Partnership Geographies (40%)

From grant kickoff stage to grant close out, ensure Program Managers (PMs) for priority partnership geographies (Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zimbabwe) execute grants and meet deliverables on time and on budget

Manage team of Program Coordinators (PCs) and/or Program Assistants to ensure each of the PMs has the necessary support and resources for grant execution throughout the grant life cycle

Ensure knowledge management within priority geographies and across the Partnerships team

Work with HR to source and manage Consultants as necessary for additional technical support

Create opportunities for learning and sharing amongst PMs, PCs, as well as project and/or country-based Consultants
Strengthen Technical Assistance to Partners (25%)

Supervise and control quality of technical assistance (TA) and grant deliverables in partnership geographies.

Support Program Managers during technical proposal development in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and ensure new projects are feasible programmatically and operationally

In coordination with Directors of Strategy and Business Development (BD), support technical proposal development for new projects/funders globally

Identify, synthesize, and advocate for updates to the TA model and package and support teams to pilot and operationalize new approaches

Coordinate New Partnerships and Project Management (20%)

Qualifications Required:

There are two key services which this role would oversee:
· “Project Z” - Ongoing one-to-one floating support by specialist youth practitioners for 16-25 year olds, many of whom will be experiencing multiple disadvantage; a key objective is building trusting relationships that can help to facilitate positive change.
· “Z House” - A project launching in Spring 2024; an innovative new model for short term youth accommodation for 18-25 year olds in Bristol, delivered primarily by community volunteers. We are in the final stages of constructing the space and the initial service design, with the aim to pilot the concept for the next 12 months.
Both services incorporate group work, drop-in activities and co-production to ensure we are making them accessible to young people who may not usually participate in more traditional support models.
The role will work closely with our other operational managers to ensure that our volunteer management, data systems and performance monitoring are best practice.
The role will have line management responsibility for project staff including the Senior Youth Practitioner, Shelter Coordinator and some oversight of volunteers.
