Mind in Croydon is seeking to recruit a full time Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) to join our small, dedicated team of Independent Mental Health Advocates working to provide advocacy services to adults subjected to detention under the Mental Health Act in the London Borough of Croydon to ensure they understand, express and exercise their rights, and to enable them to access essential services. The advocacy team also provides Community Mental Health Advocacy for people who are informal patients in psychiatric hospital or living in the community and provides weekly advocacy service at two InMind Healthcare Group hospitals in Croydon.
This role is suitable for a fully qualified Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) with a proven ability to support people under the Mental Health Act. We are not considering trainee positions at this time.
In December 2024 the team was awarded the Quality Performance Mark in Advocacy, a testament to their quality of service providing safe and life-changing support.
SALARY: £30,404 per annum
plus pension contributions (above 4% by salary sacrifice.
REPORTS TO: Advocate Service Manager
TERM: Permanent, subject to funding, full time (36 hours pw)
BASED AT:  Bethlem Royal Hospital, Beckenham BR3 3BX. Advocates are also required to meet clients at different sites throughout Croydon and neighbouring boroughs.

This is a key role in fulfilling CEASE’s aim to drive legislative reform that strengthens accountability, scrutiny and regulation of all parts of the commercial sex industry and other vested commercial interests, which are driving sexual violence, abuse and exploitation. It is about holding the UK government accountable in its duty to protect citizens from high-harm industries, appealing to robust evidence, survivor testimony and a careful critical analysis of the ideological justifications that uphold it.
The work crosses multiple different areas, from policing, online safety and child protection to violence against women and girls (VAWG). It involves close collaboration with experts and partner organisations through strategic partnerships and coalitions, and the building of trusted relationships with MPs, Peers, civil servants and other decision-makers.
This role sits within the Activism strand of CEASE’s strategy, alongside media outreach and commercial advocacy, and works closely with the Chief Executive and Strategic Director
Main Duties and Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership

The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Fundraising and Events Lead to join our growing team. This is a new and exciting opportunity to shape the future of M7 Education’s fundraising strategy and be the driving force behind our next phase of growth.

The Role
As part of our mission, FareShare Midlands is delighted to be able to deliver our I-Can employability programme as part of Birmingham City Council’s PURE project. The PURE Project is funded by the government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The programme will provide a range of wellbeing, training and employment support to vulnerable residents of Birmingham in order to improve their lives and move them closer to the jobs market.
Main duties include
- Attend outreach events to promote the I-Can programme
- Respond to new referrals in a timely and professional manner
- Manage registration appointments
- Register new participants in line with contractual and audit purposes
- Carry out initial assessment interviews
- Establish suitable outputs and outcomes for participants based on individual needs
- Allocate participants to appropriate Employability Coach

This role is available on a permanent contract and part time basis (25 or 30 hours a week). The salary range is between £35,000-£40,000 FTE. This is a predominately office-based role, where you will attend the charity’s office in Redbridge (on the Essex/London border), with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week. The charity is set in a beautiful 5 acre woodland on the edge of a park.
 
Within this Senior Finance Officer role, you will oversee all aspects of the charity’s financial operations and support with strategic decision making.
 
This key role involves managing financial systems (including Sage), processing income and expenditure, preparing monthly management accounts, and supporting with the annual audit process. You will monitor budgets, forecasts, and fund allocations, while ensuring compliance with charity and tax regulations. The role also includes preparing financial reports for Senior Management, Trustees, and Funders, supporting grant and restricted fund administration, and collaborating with the Fundraising and Office Admin teams on payroll, reporting, and financial planning. You’ll also help continuously improve financial procedures and reduce financial risk for the organisation.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or have equivalent finance qualification. You will have experience in a similar finance role, ideally in the charity or non-profit sector.
 
You will have experience in supporting financial reporting for externally funded projects, preparing charity accounts. You will have an understanding of charity finance, including restricted/unrestricted funds, knowledge of SORP, and charity accounting standards. You will have a strong attention to detail, and confidence in analysing and presenting financial data.
 
You will also have experience using Sage accounting system and Microsoft Excel. You will have excellent communication skills and ability to develop/maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. You will also have the ability to manage time wisely and work to deadlines.

Regional Net Zero Carbon Fundraising Officer

Are you an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement and experience of coordinating and developing large-scale funding proposals? Do you have a passion for the environment and reducing carbon emissions? If so, read on.
The Church of England’s Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programme has been established to help the Church deliver its commitment to reaching its NZC goals. It aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport.
All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this Net Zero plan. To this end, the Dioceses of Chelmsford, Ely, Norwich, St Albans and St Edmundsbury and Ipswich are collaborating on the shared ambition to achieve NZC across our diocesan estates and are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer to work across the region to identify funding opportunities and secure funding towards delivering net carbon zero projects.
This is a new role and, as such, offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to make their mark. You will develop and maintain relationships with a range of potential funders and internal and external stakeholders across the region. You’ll need drive, initiative, resilience and the ability to shape an approach to NZC fundraising across the region. Above all, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a proven ability to adapt your approach as appropriate, be this creating links with the national NZC Team, influencing and securing funding from grant-making bodies, or delivering training and advice on securing funding locally. Given the scope and nature of the role you’ll also need to be highly organised, flexible and sympathetic to the ethos of the Church of England.
We recognise that this is a specialised role, and training and support will be available for the post-holder both locally and from the national Church of England NZ Fundraising team.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required. The role will be home-based and can be anywhere within the region, with regular travel across the region required. The role will be employed by the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich so line management meetings will be in Ipswich.
