We are currently in search of a passionate and committed male older peoples’ programme worker to join our team and lead a weekly a men’s group, as part of the thriving Over 50’s programme. The role involves designing, leading, and facilitating various activities and sessions aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing, and improving community connection amongst older people. This is an exciting time to join our Leadership and Organisational Development team. Our work enjoys an outstanding reputation in the NHS and beyond and you’ll play an important role in supporting this, working across a range of clients and projects.
As a Programme Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of a range of different courses and programmes. You will work closely with the Programme Directors, who design and deliver the course and programme content.
Your role will include communicating with programme participants and clients, creating programme materials, managing budgets, booking venues, travel and accommodation, and event management.
You will be skilled at working across a suite of programmes and balancing multiple deadlines. You’ll enjoy taking personal responsibility for your own portfolio and also working with the team of Programme Coordinators to support each other’s work and drive continuous improvement.

This role will work closely with the Head of Support Services supporting our volunteers and wider community through a range of services and events.

Role Description
Volunteers
o Working with the CEO and Head of Support Services develop and deliver the Volunteering Strategy for the organisation.
o Work to significantly increase the inclusivity of volunteers and the work done by volunteers.
o Oversee the recruitment of volunteers and ensure appropriate induction in collaboration with relevant staff.
o Deliver mandatory initial and ongoing training for volunteers.
o Working with colleagues, produce and keep up-to-date policies, processes and forms, ensuring volunteers understand and use these resources.
o Provide day-to-day support to volunteers, working closely with the Head of Support Services.
o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.
o Collect and process feedback and statistics and compile reports on satisfaction and effectiveness as required.
o Provide specific support for volunteering roles including;
Helpline and Telephone Buddies
o Support the transition of the helpline to a new scheme such as our telephone buddy scheme
o Support and review the telephone buddy scheme
o In conjunction with the Head of Support Services, support the implementation and ongoing management of a new Facebook support group
o Collate statistics on helpline calls and report on this monthly.
Local Support Groups
o Support the establishment of online condition specific and new regional groups.
o Undertake visits to Local Support Groups as appropriate.
o Working with the Finance and Operations Manager support the groups to use funds they have raised.
Other Volunteers
o Support Office volunteers in their day to day work, being the first point of contact and allocating tasks.
o Working with the Head of Support Services contribute to the development of the Lived Experience Committee.
o Working with the Head of Fundraising support and engage Ambassador and Fundraising volunteers.
Support Service Coordination
o Ensure the CRM system is up to date with all Support Services information.
o Ensure all statistics relating to Support Services are up to date.
o Ensure Support Services’ phone systems and booked calls are effectively and efficiently set up.
o Ensure accurate record of all research and surveys we are asked to engage in and follow up on outcomes of that research.
o Undertake any small administrative duties as required.
o Where required, provide support in managing the helpline emails.
Support Services Events
o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually. These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community.
o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.
o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.
o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.

• Tech support for events: Providing technical support for webinars and in-person events, including sound and lighting setup and safe storage, and ensuring a seamless experience for participants. This will involve working outside of regular business hours on occasion.
• Contributing to venue management: A key member of the venue hire business, including client tech support, trouble-shooting, setup, clear-up and ongoing care of the venue, and viewings.

About the role:
Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role.
As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

You will develop engaging, innovative and creative national campaigns reaching young people, parents/guardians and professionals across the UK. You will also be responsible for supporting our Regional Managers in the development of regional campaigns.
Key responsibilities of our National Youth Project and Campaigns Manager:
- Leading on the coordination, delivery and prioritisation of all Fearless activity, including successfully developing and managing the youth strategy and overseeing National and Regional plans to ensure activity is aligned, measurable, cost-effective and on brand
- Project managing the development of engaging and creative national campaigns, from project brief through to launch and evaluation
- Working with the Digital Content and Creative Assistant, develop and sign off social media content in accordance with our brand
- Maintaining, reviewing and developing the Fearless website
- Inspiring and engaging our volunteer Youth Panel. Managing the recruitment and retention of the panel, as well as supporting all projects generated by the group
- Maintaining and developing the suite of Fearless resources; including digital assets, national artwork and crime specific resource booklets
- Managing the Youth Projects Coordinator role, supporting them to deliver their objectives and ensuring their professional development.

Person specifications

Essential skills include leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and financial management, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Personal attributes include a commitment to defending human rights, cultural sensitivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to travel up to 16 weeks per year, including to remote areas, is necessary.
