The Welcome Directory is a multi-faith organisation dedicated to supporting the successful resettlement of prison leavers across England and Wales. We facilitate equal access to faith-based social inclusion while challenging stigma and discrimination as a vital and effective pathway for positive mental wellbeing; helping people to turn their lives around in the long-term and break the cycle of reoffending. We work at the grassroots level to build community capacity, create positive attitudinal change and to build more inclusive and thus resilient communities.
We are currently recruiting for an Operations Officer to lead on administrative support to the charity under the direction of the Project Manager, supporting on engagement with various stakeholders and networks. The goal of the post is to ensure that The Welcome Directory can effectively develop the reach of our work and achieve exponential growth, by maximising administrative efficiency.
Whilst this is a 6-month contract, there is the potential to extend where funding permits.
The role will include:
Leading on operational projects, including:
- Faith community engagement
- Processing faith/ belief community registrations and maintaining records
- Approaching existing and prospective faith/ belief communities, including follow up to the annual survey and periodical team campaigns
- Assisting with the production of the annual physical directory
- Co-ordinating the annual Affiliates Scheme
- Researching new initiatives or solutions
Supporting events, including:
- Support in the administration of the online Prisons Awareness Course and other webinar events, including technical support
- Planning bi-annual team days and any one-off events, in consultation with the Project Manager
- Planning bi-annual team campaign periods, in consultation with the Project Manager and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
- Preparing resources and/or PowerPoint presentations and booking logistics, in consultation with the Project Manager and the Communications & Fundraising Officer
Leading on administration, including:
- Answering phone, email, and letter enquiries
- Purchasing of supplies and dispatch of resources
- Co-ordinating and setting up meetings
- Collating routine data and creating trackers to support operations

Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Job purpose:
The External Affairs Manager will work closely with the Director and provide vital support to NACCOM and its members by:
- Ensuring the strategic planning, management and alignment of communications, policy, research, campaigns, and advocacy as part of the External Affairs function at NACCOM.
- Ensuring NACCOM’s external affairs functions feed from and into our network development work and our Community Ambassador / Research programme

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.
We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people.
We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Role Purpose
Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role is new and exciting and will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our high value fundraising.
As Philanthropy Manager you will be responsible for growing income from major donors and Trusts and Foundations through excellent donor stewardship. Leadership

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting

The role is varied but primarily administrative with scope for the role holder to develop skills and experience in project management, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (not necessarily in priority order)
· Support the Professionalisation team with the development, implementation and management of cyber security specialisms, mapping and business as usual requirements.
· Undertake administrative tasks across the Professionalisation team that contribute to the professional registration processes enabling cyber professionals to apply for Chartered, Principal, Practitioner and Associate registration.
· Co-lead the Youth Advisory Panel with colleagues with support from the Project Manager – Careers & Skills as required.
· Assist with project and risk documentation. Support and assist with maintaining detailed project plans, models, and tools.
· Provide relationship and stakeholder management and administration where required.
· Organise and support the facilitation of panels, committees, webinars, and other events.
· Liaise with partner organisations and support the delivery of professional registration workshops for applicants/registrants.
· Assist with pilot programmes and transitions as agreed with the line manager, including taking meeting minutes and updating documents including action and risk logs.
· Ensure that appropriate records are added and maintained through the use of the organisation’s CRM system and professional registration Register.
· Contribute to a cohesive approach with colleagues across the organisation maintaining open and effective communication with internal and external colleagues.
· Assist with the preparation of progress reports, as required, for Senior Leadership team.
· Comply with data protection legislation and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties.
· Carry out ad-hoc tasks, for the team, supporting the effective and efficient functioning of the Council.
· Represent the Council in a professional manner and act, at all times, in a manner that will not damage its reputation.
· Work from a positive, growth mindset, to solve issues and problems that may arise and to adhere to the organisation’s values.
Essential Criteria
· Experienced administrative and effective organisational skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to a wide audience
· Experience of supporting projects, working to deadlines and managing a varied workload
· Enthusiasm to grow in and with an early-stage organisation
· Good professional judgment and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
· Ability to work positively in a remote and fast paced team within the organisation
· Excellent IT and digital skills including Microsoft 365

· Knowledge of the cyber security profession
· Knowledge of professional registration and ethics
· Experience of working with diverse and professional stakeholders and maintaining sustainable stakeholder relationships
· Experience using databases, CRM systems and/or project management tools
· Experience working with committees, panels, volunteers and subject matter experts

What's the role about?
You’ll be joining the RSPB England Education, Families and Youth team and working on our regional partnerships with Girlguiding, particularly in North West England and with RSPB Project Officers to support the development and delivery of our funded project outputs.
Key tasks:
- Support the delivery of engaging training or workshops for young people, both in-person and online, helping them connect with nature and take meaningful action.
- Collaborate with Girlguiding volunteers and RSPB Project Officers to help develop a youth-focused nature and climate action toolkit.
- Plan and deliver a ‘nature discovery event’ for over 100 girls at a partner green space in Cumbria (4-5 Oct), working closely with Girlguiding to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Recruit, coordinate and support a team of volunteers to help deliver the partnership event and contribute to other project goals - ensuring they do their role well and has a great experience.
- Facilitate in-person ‘Running Outdoor Nature Sessions’ for Girlguiding trainers in North West England, enabling them to train more leaders.
- Support our partnerships with other Girlguiding regions, to expand opportunities for girls to engage with and advocate for nature across England.
- Collect data to track progress, measure impact and contribute to a project progress and evaluation reports.
- Oversee day-to-day procurement and budget tracking, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and aligned with project needs.
You will be supported in your role by the RSPB Project Officers and Education, Families and Youth Manager, England with opportunities to meet virtually with staff and volunteers, so you feel part of a team and learn about the work of the RSPB and Girlguiding. An induction and relevant training will be provided as well as support to further develop the skills needed for this role.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience in planning and delivering youth-focused engagement that connect children and young people with nature, supported by a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and health and safety practices essential for working in outdoor and online settings.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively to meet objectives without close supervision.
- Strong communication skills, able to build positive, collaborative relationships quickly with a wide range of stakeholders, including young people, volunteers, and partner organisations.
- Understanding of the value of volunteering, with experience in supporting and coordinating volunteers effectively.
- A solid understanding of the natural world, environmental issues, and practical actions that support nature conservation.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects in line with defined aims and objectives, including tracking progress and managing budgets using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word,
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience in planning and delivering outdoor nature-based events for groups of over 80 more children and young people.
- Experience in designing and delivering engaging training sessions, workshops, or facilitated discussions for adults and/or young people that encourages meaningful participation and sharing learning.
Additional Information:
- An England role, flexible on working pattern and part of a remote team.
- The role holder will be a homeworker but must be based in the Girlguiding North West England region (Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Manchester, Cumbria, Merseyside, Sefton, Stockport or the Wirral). Travel is required within the North West.
- You will need to be available to run events/training at weekends and/or evenings.
- This is a 12 month fixed-term role for 22.5 hours per week.
- The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
