Job description

Are you passionate about animal welfare and empowering people? Raystede is excited to announce two brand-new, vital roles in our Prevention and Education Team. We’re looking for enthusiastic, passionate individuals to help achieve Raystede's ultimate long-term vision: ensuring animals across Sussex live good lives, and people are fully supported to make that happen.

Education and Events Manager

This role will focus on maximising onsite educational opportunities and events at Raystede.

Community Education and Outreach Manager

This role will drive our outreach efforts, taking our message directly into communities across Sussex.

What you'll be doing:

Developing and implementing a visitor strategy or community engagement strategy.

Establishing and cultivating relationships internally and externally.

Instrumental in shaping and driving our prevention and education programme forward.

We’re looking for:

In-depth experience in delivering activities against strategic goals.

Excellent project management skills.

Experience and drive to lead and execute new initiatives.

Comprehensive understanding of animal welfare issues.

Proven experience in developing and delivering educational programmes, ideally within the charity or animal welfare sector.

Experience in strategic planning and implementation of visitor engagement.

If you're ready to make a significant impact and help us drive positive change for animals and people in Sussex, we want to hear from you!

You may apply for both roles, either through one application or separately. If using one application, please make this clear.

Closing date: 13 July 2025

Interviews:  4-22 August 2025
