We're looking for a passionate individual to join Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust as our Head of Fundraising. This is a new senior strategic position within Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT), with overarching responsibility for all Fundraising across the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Head of Fundraising will be a self-starter, who is target driven and proactive. We are seeking a hands-on, dynamic, and engaging person to take on this role. An outstanding communicator, who will build relationships across our schools and college to fully understand what the funding needs are. A fundraising all-rounder who will be able to identify which route of fundraising could be the most fruitful and have the know-how and ability to pursue these opportunities.
The post-holder is starting with a raft of opportunity. The College and Schools lend themselves to many corporate partnerships with their vocational courses for students ranging from, Catering and Hospitality, to Farming, Hair and Beauty and Retail. There are opportunities for companies to volunteer, mentor, sponsor awards and visit – all the ingredients necessary to attract and engage local companies. In addition, the items and activities that need funding, from sensory play areas and additional therapists to monthly night clubs for young adults with special needs, open up funding opportunities from across the board – individual donors, companies and trusts and foundations.
The Head of Fundraising will manage and support the Trusts and Foundations Manager and be able to expand the portfolio of Trust supporters through experience and knowledge and by supporting and guiding this post holder, who already has much success. Our Head of Fundraising will have excellent emotional intelligence and be able to represent OHC&AT at external meetings in a confident, compelling and informed way.

About the Role

They will develop and deliver outcome-led fundraising strategies that work within the broader University fundraising and communications environment and achieve philanthropic fundraising targets.

The Role
The Head of Fundraising is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CEO and joining the SMT.
You would be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering income generation strategy.
As the sole dedicated income generation specialist, you will take a hands-on approach to all aspects of fundraising and business development, identifying opportunities, building partnerships, securing funding, and maximising income from a diverse range of sources.
The fundraising income is currently c£300,000 per year and they have ambition to grow this to £500,000 over the next three years to ensure that they can continue to be there for older people when they are in need.
You would lead and manage the acquisition of potential donors, cultivate relationships, solicit donations, and engage in ongoing stewardship activities to retain and grow support.
The Candidate
This would suit a a proactive hands on fundraiser, happy to be a sole fundraiser within a wider supportive team.
Someone with a proven track record of securing significant income from at least three of the following individual giving (including High Net Worth and regular giving), trusts/foundations, corporates, community, and/or legacy support.
We would like you to have experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies and plans.

About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.
In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.
Key Responsibilities
We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:
We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.
This will include:
- Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
- Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver the health system recommendations.
This will include:
- Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
- Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
- Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan.
We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.
This will include:
- Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
- You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.
- Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave.
- Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.
While it’s not a criterion, we are especially interested to hear from applicants who have lived experience of violence affecting young people.

Role Overview:
The Senior Designer will help us deliver creative content which encourages our audiences to take action with us. Purpose of the job
This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to join the UK Youth Network Delivery Department. The Summer Jobs Programme is the largest programme in UK Youth’s portfolio. Funded until the end of 2026, the programme is currently operating in its second year. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for programme managing our Summer Jobs programme. As Programme Manager, you will deliver the programme to a high standard and that the benefits to young people are realised. This will include ensuring that colleagues and stakeholders are clear on their roles and delivering on them effectively, that programme deliverables are met, risks managed effectively, and delivery is within budget.
The Summer Jobs Programme is a paid employment initiative running from July to September 2025 and 2026, supporting vulnerable young people in England and Wales. It aims to reduce youth violence and improve future engagement in education, training, and work by removing barriers to employment and offering structured, empowering opportunities. This programme is delivered with a network of local youth work Delivery Partners and employers. Young people begin with a one-week pre-employment training course, followed by a five-week job placement. Throughout, they’re supported by both a local youth worker and an employer-based supervisor to ensure they receive consistent guidance.
Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and Youth Futures Foundation, the programme launched in 2024 with over 400 participants and has expanded in 2025. A built-in Randomised Control Trial (RCT) will assess its impact on youth violence and long-term outcomes. In 2026, the programme will grow further, including working with over 2000 young people, completing a three-year period of delivery and investment aimed at driving long-term, evidence-based change.

Key responsibilities

Role purpose
The Minster Centre is seeking to develop and further professionalise its operations and is recruiting to a new Head of Finance role. This is a part-time, flexible role for two days per week in the first instance. Some time in the office will be needed to work alongside other staff and key stakeholders – this can be managed flexibly alongside working from home. The Role: Deputy Chief Executive/Finance Manager
We are seeking a proactive and strategic leader, with strong financial and operational acumen to strengthen the charity’s internal infrastructure. The role will lead on financial management and oversight, supporting the Chief Executive at a senior level, playing a vital part in ensuring the AAA’s long-term financial resilience, equipped the charity to deliver its mission for years to come.
This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking charity professional to combine senior-level leadership with hands-on financial management and organisational insight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic financial oversight and budget planning support.
- Management daily finance operations including payroll, cash flow, audits and reporting
- Leading statutory compliance and financial risk management
- Supporting strategic planning and business development alongside the Chief Executive
- Representing the charity externally and deputising for the Chief Executive at senior forums
- Line managing and overseeing back-office functions
- Providing operational insight and help to develop infrastructure and systems
What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking someone with proven experience in charity, public or social sector leadership who thrives on both strategic challenge and operational delivery. You will have a strong grasp of charity finance, exceptional communication, leadership and problem-solving skills and a demonstrable passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
