We are seeking for a Programme Officer in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) team.

The role

As Programme Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support across the entire portfolio of LIF activities, focusing on the LIF Global programme and the LIF Community. This role will involve some international travel.

Summary of Role

Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Youth Workers are key to ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for young people. The role will include the delivery of specific youth work projects and programmes delivered in accordance with the policies and procedures of AAA, helping young people to develop personally, socially and educationally. The role will include providing support to vulnerable and at-risk service users.

Responsibilities

·Providing for the social, personal, educational and leisure needs of young people by assisting in the running, organisation and delivery of AAA youth projects, including building-based and detached street work projects

·Establishing positive relationships with all young people supporting and enabling them to increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities. 

·Coordinating resources and developing opportunities and activities for young people which reflects their particular needs and circumstances. 

·Facilitating the active involvement of the young people in the planning and development of the project programme. 

·Facilitating the positive integration of young people with disabilities, behavioural difficulties and/or special needs within the project. 

·Mentoring young people by supporting positive behaviours, delivering life-skills sessions and workshops.

·Assisting young people in identifying progression opportunities and providing on-going transition support for those moving into college, employment, apprenticeships or further learning.

The Head of Youth Engagement & Participation is a key senior leadership role at Peer Power Youth. The Adult Services Team Manager is one of 3 team managers reporting to our Chief Executive Officer. The services managed include Direct Payment Support across Richmond and Wandsworth, Befriending and Community Activities, our Benefits and Housing Advice and Information service and our Counselling service.

We constantly research and develop services to meet the identified needs of the community and this role would suit someone who wants a good level of autonomy to develop new ideas.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Operations Lead who will ensure the smooth running of CCX day-to-day operations. As lead of the Operations Team, you will oversee the finance, HR, coordination of data, IT applications and integration, and corporate governance functions.

The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX) helps the Church make disciples in new and renewed ways. We work with willing partners across the Church to catalyse multiplication, equipping leaders through adaptive learning pathways.

We are an agile missional centre, on the edge of the institution. Our team seeks to be audacious, holding a God-shaped ambition; generous; and committed to working together.

CCX’s organisational structure is a hybrid management model, blending elements of both functional and project-based structures. Project teams are formed to address specific initiatives, tasks, or delivery projects. These teams are cross-functional, comprising individuals from different specialties, typically with a project manager working under the direction of a CCX lead. The two core teams of Operations and Media operate as shared services across the organisation.

Under the direction of the Bishop of Islington, a suffragan bishop of the London Diocese, CCX supports church planting and church growth work in London, nationally and beyond.

Collaboration and partnership will be key features of this role, working closely with the Bishop, Chief of Staff, and Team Leads. This role has a strong focus on agile and efficient systems development and improvement, resource optimisation and stakeholder engagement.

The Centre for Ageing Better launched the first ever campaign focusing on ageism in January 2024.

Ageism is the most widespread form of discrimination in the UK. And it will impact us all at some point, particularly as we get older. Ageism affects how society sees older people: they’re often reduced to offensive stereotypes, patronised, or treated as a burden. And it even affects how we see ourselves. As the years progress, we start to believe what we read, see and hear, and come to think that we’re ‘past it’.

The Head of Ageism Campaign plays a key role in a small team responsible for planning and delivering a nationwide public-facing campaign to bring an end to ageism in England. The public-facing campaign is one strand of a wider ‘age-friendly’ social movement aimed to make people think, feel and act differently about ageing, which will work on a number of levels and with a range of different audiences.

Under the direction of the Director of Communications & Policy and with an expert external consultant, this role is responsible for planning, delivering, measuring and iterating campaign activities that lead to measurable changes in attitudes and behaviour amongst the public.

The campaign will position Ageing Better as a thought leader and expert on ageism in England and mobilise the public and stakeholders around key activity and campaign moments, working at a national, regional and local level.

The postholder will jointly manage a creative agency to deliver phase two of our mass marketing campaign, ‘always on’ activity, and a moment of collective action once a year for warm audiences and ambassadors for the campaign.

You are a passionate and committed campaigner, determined to create societal change.

You will have excellent experience in campaigning techniques and communications, with first-class writing skills. You will understand how to influence the public and move people along a behaviour/attitude change journey.

·Providing for the social, personal, educational and leisure needs of children and young people (including those with additional needs) by assisting in the running, organisation and delivery of particular projects.

·Establishing positive relationships with all children and young people supporting and enabling them to increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities. 

·Coordinating resources and to develop opportunities for children and young people which reflects their particular needs and circumstances. 

·Facilitating the active involvement of the children and young people in the planning anddevelopment of the project programme. 

·Facilitating the positive integration of children and young people with disabilities, behavioural difficulties and/or additional needs within the project. 

·Providing for the personal care needs of the children and young people as required including toileting, changing and feeding. 

·Supporting and guiding volunteers, trainees and junior leaders in all of the above, as required. 

·Working as a member of the AAA team to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and young people being supervised including day to day 'housekeeping' of the site and maintenance of equipment. 

·Liaising with parents, carers and other organisations and professionals as required.

·Adapting activities to meet a child's/young person’s needs as appropriate. 

·Carrying out health and safety inspections as required. 

·Adhering to AAA policies and procedures in respect of safeguarding children and young people.

·Administering medication and/or carry out tube feeding as required, if appropriate training successfully completed. 

This is a newly created role and there is a great deal of untapped potential here for a proactive leader to support the CEO and SLT to create efficiencies in how we manage our internal infrastructure (IT Systems and processes), Finance and charity Governance, and HR/people to ensure we maintain and develop a thriving and nurturing working environment. The role​

As an Executive Assistant in the newly formed Business Support Team, you’ll be highly organised and a great communicator. You’ll be responsible for providing highly efficient and effective support across all administrative and organisational activities. Working in a fast-paced responsive team you will be one of the first points of contact for the Executive Leadership Team and will assist with administration and organisation of diaries for meetings and travel arrangements, preparing briefs and drafting various communications where appropriate. You’ll attend key meetings in a supporting role and ensure efficiency and timely support to the Leadership team.

​You’ll also assist with front-line reception administration services in the Ewell, Epsom Office as required.​

The newly formed Business Support team will not only cater to the needs of Executive Leadership Team and departmental/staff administration but also plays a pivotal role in supporting the broader organisational ambitions through services such as record retention/retrieval, telephony, postal/courier management, cash handling and more.

The terms

Samaritans are looking for two Executive Assistants to join the team - details below;

• 12 month Fixed term contract
• Full time - 35 hours per week. Part time - 20 hours per week preferably worked over 4 days
• £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (£18,857 - £20,000 per annum for 20 hours/week)

Skills and Experience:​

• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and volunteers at all levels.
• Ability to produce clear documentation to be used by staff, volunteers, senior management.
• Knowledge of office administrational functions, facilities soft services (cleaning, telephony related services).
• Excellent organisational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Good IT skills including use of MS office, particularly MS Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and maintain a positive and professional approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A high level of integrity, with experience of keeping sensitive information confidential.
• Experience of working independently and successfully as a part of a team.

We’re also working with national government to ensure the right support is in place to help all schools reach this goal through seven policy actions. This initiative will link thousands of schools across the whole of England with advice and support from a network of 31 local climate experts.

Are you passionate about improving support for families affected by substance misuse?

This could be the perfect role for you! The Family Support Worker is an exciting role within a growing and dynamic team, where you can help to make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth. 

Having identified a gap in the identification of young carers and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, over the past year we have successfully piloted a project to identify and provide long-term support to these carers. We are now entering the second year of the project, and are looking for a new Family Support Worker to bring their expertise, enthuasism and ideas to the next stage of the project. 

The Family Support Worker will work across our Young Carers and Adult Carers Service to provide support to families affected by substance misuse, through whole-family assessments and reviews. The successful candidate will ensure that adult and young carers, and their families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of working within the substance misuse field and an understanding of associated health and social issues. They will preferably have experience of working with both adults, children and young people. We are seeking candidates with a professional qualification in health & social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

Carers’ Hub plays a vital role in Lambeth, supporting the many unpaid carers across the borough. Our work stems from the fact that carers often go about their roles despite the toll it might take on their own wellbeing, often having to make sacrifices that hamper their own ability to lead a normal life. Whether financial, educational or otherwise, we seek to limit the challenges that carers face. We achieve this through four core workstreams: 

1. raising awareness of carers, 

2. influencing local policy through community engagement activities, 

3. improving carer wellbeing and

4. connecting carers to each other and to support and training opportunities through our services.
