Orchard Vale Trust is a Registered Charity founded over 35 years ago to support adults with learning disabilities; we currently provide Residential, Day and Community Services. It is our vision that adults with learning disabilities are valued as leaders and peers and are supported to achieve their goals and live life to the full. The role of the Trust Fundraiser is essential in building our capacity to ensure the delivery of our vision.

The Trust Fundraiser will work with the CEO in developing a high quality fundraising strategy and raising funds against agreed targets that support the work of Orchard Vale Trust. They will use this to manage projects - from application of funding to delivery, including on-going evaluation and reporting.

They will work with the senior management team to ensure service users are supported in accordance with the ethos, policies and practices of Orchard Vale Trust and with current best practice as set out by Care Quality Commissions (CQC) regulations, the Charity Commission and other relevant legislation and guidance.

Main Duties

1. To develop and implement a fundraising strategy for the Trust

3. To work with the CEO in the delivery of the Trust’s communication strategy

4. To work with the CEO in the management and delivery of the Trust’s Social Enterprise

We're seeking a dedicated Head of Reinvestment and Sustainability to join the St Mungo’s Assets team. Reporting to the Director of Property Services, you will lead multiple improvement projects across our diverse housing stock. • Oversee the design, procurement, and delivery of construction proposals for planned maintenance programmes.

The charity’s vision is to make life more affordable, to build strong communities and to reduce food waste. Since launching in 2016, The Bread and Butter Thing has grown rapidly – now reaching over 100,000 people through more than 140 community hubs across the North of England, with an annual income of circa £6 million. This role will take a lead on growing and diversifying income from trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors and public sector sources, and will be responsible for championing a culture of partnership, building meaningful relationships and helping to amplify the organisation’s impact and story.

The Philanthropy Lead is central to TBBT’s ambitions to grow their geographical reach and raise their national profile to reach more communities, working to shape and deliver a high-value fundraising strategy, lead multi-sector funding bids, and work hand in hand with delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders. The role would be based at one of our IntoUniversity centres in North West London with regular travel within London.

£42,600 per annum

Salary:  £70,000 - £80,000

Location: Central London office three days a week, with flexibility to work from home for two days

Overview:

In June 2023, Prince William and The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales launched Homewards. Homewards is a transformative five-year programme, working with six locations, to demonstrate that together it’s possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief and unrepeated.

The Royal Foundation’s Homewards programme is recruiting into their Strategic Delivery team. This team will be focused on leveraging significant impact across the locations focused on key, cross-cutting, themes and report into the Programme Director.

 

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a motivated, creative and delivery-minded individual to join us as our Strategic Data Lead. The Lead will work with partners to support our locations to bring together current data and use it more effectively to end homelessness – and leverage brand new forms of data from a range of public and private sources.

They will focus on deploying data to identify and intervene as early as possible to prevent an individual’s homelessness, working with a ground-breaking collaboration of public and private partners.

We are looking for a big thinker and pragmatic ‘doer’. This is a chance to be at the cutting-edge of shaping a best-in-class approach to using data to end homelessness with internationally leading partners. Our aim is to create models with our partners that can be scaled across the UK and beyond.

You might have worked on strategy for a progressive technology company, led data strategy at a major corporate or driven impact through data linked to a significant social challenge.  You will be a strategic thinker ready to put your knowledge to work in driving an end to homelessness.

Key Accountabilities, but not limited to:

• Lead, shape and deliver the Data strategy as part of The Royal Foundation’s Homewards programme
• Work with a range of partners from across the data sector to shape ambition across our locations and design cutting edge innovations and approaches to prevent homelessness, from new sources of data to the use of predictive analytics and AI
• Identify and convene commitments to deliver the resources and expertise needed to progress this ground-breaking work across the locations. The Data Lead will need a strong understanding of the potential needs and nuances of each location which are across the UK.
• Build a network of expert support and work across the Homewards team to prioritise, co-develop and deliver initiatives, ensuring the approach is backed by a robust delivery plan
• Work with the Homewards location teams to ensure the data strategy delivers on Local Action Plans (our locations’ roadmaps to preventing and ending homelessness); and support them to identify high potential local partners and grow relevant local relationships
• Work closely with other Leads in the programme and the central Partnerships team to ensure a joined-up approach which delivers maximum impact for Homewards and The Royal Foundation
• Shape and deploy an approach to share insights from our work with other locations on data so the approach can scale.

 

Relevant knowledge, experience and personal qualities

 

• Strong knowledge of what it takes to deliver cutting edge data projects locally, and proven sensitivity to public and private sector pressures that shape that delivery
• Proven leader in delivering ambitious data programmes or social impact initiatives with a strong data component
• Experience delivering strategic projects and new partnerships, ideally working with the private sector and with multiple stakeholders, to create lasting impact
• Desire to drive systemic change, understanding of the role TRF could play and a vision of what systemic change could look like when it comes to data and homelessness
• Comfortable operating in legal and regulatory complexity whilst maintaining the ability to ‘think big’
• Confident leader who can support and empower the Homewards team to confidently engage in this area
• Self-starter and desire to collaborate - we’re a lean team who matrix work and person would need to be up for mucking in!

Interim Head of Digital

Contract: One-year fixed term maternity cover contract

Salary: £68,221 London hybrid salary (candidates required to spend a minimum of 40% of each month in London HQ) or £60,912 for home based or less than 40% time in London

Location: Ideally hybrid between home and London office with a minimum of two days per week (or 40% of month) in the office, with less time in office also considered

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Lead on the implementation of the new digital strategy, to support the delivery of mission priorities across the organisation
• Influence senior leaders to both develop in their confidence digital and champion digital transformation across the territory
• Lead and manage the Digital team ensuring that: objectives are successfully delivered, high performing team culture is embedded, and that employee wellbeing is at the top of your agenda
• Be responsible for development and oversight of the AI roadmap for the organisation, including an AI policy and implementation of AI in an ethical framework across the territory, in collaboration with IT and other business partners
• Work within the culture of The Salvation Army as a church and as a charity in both a responsive and opportunistic way, successfully working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, responding to the external environment and offering digital advice and solutions
• Be the strategic lead on the effective selection and use of digital channels for the organisation, orchestrating execution of campaigns and communications through digital to meet objectives
• Ensure product ownership and governance of key digital platforms to ensure continuous development, great UX and high availability by overseeing agencies, suppliers, platform providers to ensure objectives are met efficiently
• Collaborate with fundraising to enable them to meet targets through digital channels to deliver income growth and to meet digital specific income targets
• Be responsible for managing the Digital budget, allocating cost centres across digital activity including setting, monitoring, forecasting, and providing financial reporting as required
• Lead a culture of systematic learning and improvement; drive the use of digital analysis tools, data, results and the deployment of this in all aspects of digital development and lead on overarching programme to upskill the organisation on digital and AI, including bringing senior leaders on board
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current digital and charity (digital) trends, technology and best practice through networking, attending conferences and horizon scanning
• Lead and be accountable for ensuring that all relevant digital regulatory, ethical and compliance requirements are met

• Proven excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees and teams, identify and nurture talent and manage performance effectively to deliver team as well as organisational objectives
• Proven experience of leading multiple cross functional workstreams with a typical 5-10-year time horizon, with proven project management skills and the ability to maximise the impact of available resources
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at senior level and inspire, engage, build relationships and negotiate between internal and external stakeholders with a high level of diplomacy
• Proven experience of leveraging digital agencies or in house teams for digital channels such as website, email systems, digital advertising
• A strong understanding and experience of implementing relevant regulatory and compliance requirements related to digital and AI
• The ability and willingness to work within and be empathic with the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission
