Job description

Volunteer Project Manager (Remote)

Lead the Launch of Urban Youth | Build Something That Matters

Urban Youth is a bold new youth work initiative in London, designed to spark connection, confidence, and creativity in young people aged 13–19. In a city where the cost of living crisis, rising crime, and digital isolation are taking their toll, we’re creating a space where young people can unplug, connect, and thrive through engaging, interactive activities that build life skills and lasting memories.

But before we can open our doors—we need someone to help build them.

The Role

We’re looking for a visionary and organised Volunteer Project Manager to lead the setup of Urban Youth from the ground up. This is a remote, strategic role for someone who thrives on turning ideas into action and wants to leave a legacy of impact.

As our Project Manager, you’ll:

  • Design the Blueprint: Translate our vision into a clear, actionable project plan.

  • Coordinate the Build: Oversee the setup of systems, policies, programmes, and partnerships.

  • Lead with Purpose: Guide volunteers and collaborators with clarity, compassion, and drive.

  • Keep Us on Track: Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure a smooth launch.

  • Champion the Vision: Represent Urban Youth to stakeholders, funders, and the wider community.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re someone who:

  • Has experience in project management, operations, or charity start-up environments.

  • Is passionate about youth work and social impact.

  • Can work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

  • Brings energy, empathy, and strategic thinking to everything you do.

Why Join Us?

This isn’t just a volunteer role—it’s a chance to shape something powerful from the ground up. You’ll be part of a community that turns isolation into connection, worry into hope, and potential into reality.

Help us build a space where young people can discover who they are—and who they’re meant to become.
