ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Safeguarding representative on the Board of Trustees, your primary responsibility is to ensure that safeguarding is embedded in all aspects of the AdAmi Project’s work. You will provide support, oversight, and guidance to help protect the young mothers we serve.
Summary of additional responsibilities:

Ensure all staff, volunteers and Trustees at AdAmi UK and our local partners receive appropriate safeguarding training on a regular basis.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

Regularly review safeguarding reports and incident logs.

Required commitment:

Attend quarterly Board of Trustee meetings held virtually for up to two hours.

Liaise with local partners to review quarterly safeguarding reports and provide feedback on safeguarding best practices, as well as ensure teams receive refresher training at least once annually.

Ad hoc preparation and/or review of key safeguarding documents and policies.

Represent the Board of Trustees at AdAmi Project fundraising and awareness raising events, as and when is required (a few times a year, maximum).

Position Overview
This is a superb opportunity for a development professional to be part of a team of national and international staff supporting the development, reporting and evaluation of SEED’s rural livelihoods programmes.
Our Rural Livelihoods programme concentrates on livelihood development and support in local, national, and international markets, including fishery management, beekeeping, traditional reed weaving and embroidery. We use community-led, participatory approaches, working with local communities to identify and implement projects that meet their needs and priorities.
This is an exciting position for someone who has two to four years’ experience working alongside national and international staff, supporting the development, funding, management, reporting and evaluation of our programmes. You will be responsible for generating funds across the programmes to maximise impact. This post will partner our national implementation teams, managing donor compliance, ensuring proposals and reports are to a high standard and budgets are appropriately managed.

Duties and responsibilities:
Provision of advice and support in the development and management of projects including: preparation and editing of funding proposals; preparation and editing of reports for external stakeholders; monitoring and evaluation of current projects; developing and updating guidelines and templates for external-facing materials; liaison with the London project development team and local staff; and support and mentoring of interns and Junior Officers.

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting a team of volunteers to join our new Welcome team at Tooting Hub. This is a new role. Welcome volunteers will provide a friendly face to existing community members attending our regular projects. They will also be the important ‘face of CARAS and our welcome at the door’ to people attending projects for the first time, to visitors and to people dropping in unannounced to enquire about CARAS’s service. Volunteers will meet and greet, and ensure all visitors are responded to appropriately and introduced to the relevant member of staff, activity, project, or meeting. There will be an administrative element to the role (updating registers and emailing enquiries to CARAS staff, for example).

Purpose of the Role
This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering a range of services across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. We support clients with mental health with both clinical and non-clinical interventions. The volunteer will work with the Advocates, assisting the Inpatient Advocacy service, on the wards of The Limes and St Bernards Hospital. Our volunteer will the opportunity to support the Advocacy team with various tasks, including administration, (once trained), with the possibility of being trained as peer advocate.
Main Responsibilities
To work closely with the Advocacy team and Adult Services, Day Service Manager, attend ward rounds at The Limes and St Bernards Hospital and support the service in general. There will also be a further opportunity to train as a volunteer Peer Advocate in the future.
Tasks
All relevant training will be provided
· Attend Ward Rounds 3x per week with the Advocacy staff
· Support/work with the Advocacy staff on the Ward Round
· Provide information on the Advocacy Services
- Triage clients for the service through an onboarding process
· Register potential Clients, wanting to access Advocacy services
· Complete Advocacy Action Plans (training will be provided)
· Support with follow up surveys for those who have accessed the project and obtained their feedback to improve our services
· Support the Advocacy team to promote the service within the local community
· A willingness to undertake training courses

Type of person we are looking for:
We welcome applications from those completing studies in Psychology, Counselling/Psychotherapy and/or any Allied Health Profession with a focus on supporting those with mental health needs.
However, your attitude, motivation and commitment are just as important as your training/qualifications and/or any previous experience. We will review all applications individually and assess them on their unique merits, so do not be discouraged from applying, even if you do not meet all the criteria listed below.

Time commitment and expenses:

Your role
The purpose of your role is to assist Unfold’s volunteer applicants in a smooth and timely onboarding experience. What will you be doing?
On a weekly basis you will be supported to carry out the following:
- Send next step emails following mentoring training.
- Request, track and confirm receipt of references.
- Create volunteer profiles on our online training platform.
- Send DBS application invites and see DBS applications through to completion
- Communicate updates with the Volunteer Coordinator and share any challenges or concerns regarding the onboarding process.
- Work in line with GDPR guidelines.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Training
- You will be trained by the Volunteer Coordinator and supported throughout your role in Unfold’s systems and processes.
- You are welcome to attend our mentoring training, giving you the opportunity to further understand the needs and lives of the communities your role will help us to serve.
About you
