We are looking to appoint an  Alternative Provision Outdoor Teacher (“APOT”)  The role is fundamental to the delivery of this exciting project. About the role 

This is a key role in providing administration and organisational support to the CEO and the Board. The successful candidate must have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative skills, and the ability to maintain a balance among multiple priorities. This is a part-time position with flexibility on the number of days worked each week, with a minimum of one to two days in the office.

• Manage the Chief Executive's schedule and diary ensuring there is adequate time for meeting preparation and follow-up. 
• Provide project support and co-ordinate briefing packs for the Chief Executive to ensure they have comprehensive information for any meetings and activities.

About The Role

We are looking for an Operations Administration Assistant to provide efficient and proactive administrative and operational support to the Senior Management Team, and the wider operations and regional team as required. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth delivery of services by coordinating documentation, supporting data processes, and assisting with project implementation across the Trust’s care environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executive & Team Support

- Managing calendar, travel bookings, and expense submissions.

Duties and responsibilities

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.

RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.

The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. The finance assistant is part of the Finance and Resources function and reports to the Head of Finance. The role has responsibility for ensuring all accounts receivable and payable transactions are processed, recorded and completed. We need you to manage and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including external fundraising platform partners. You'll ensure the efficient implementation of a shared, insight-driven, and audience-led vision, to deliver CRUK's commitment to research.

In this role, you'll foster an empowered culture within cross-functional teams, building a collective sense of shared ownership of end-to-end outcomes, while maintaining oversight of the entire delivery process and its role in MFE-wide operations and outcomes.

What will I be doing?

• Driving continued growth of CRUK audiences and supporters by proactively managing the delivery of the Giving Platforms programme with implementation plans, working collaboratively and cross-functionally across MFE and beyond, within the allocated budget

• Ensuring that agile cross-functional teams deliver against shared audiences, volume, value, contribution and other objectives, by effectively managing activities, while empowering team members to make decisions

• Collaborating with MFE Proposition teams to develop understanding of their audience needs and income objectives, and supporting them to achieve this by implementing tests and initiatives that leverage opportunities on third party and CRUK owned giving platforms

• Driving a culture of end-to-end delivery, building excellent working relationships, and ensuring a collective understanding of the Giving Platforms programme

• Ensuring that standards are set and upheld for proposition squad processes and culture - including frequent touchpoints and communication cross-functionally, in conjunction with the Senior Programme Manager, Programme Community of Practice and any external benchmarking of best practice in our sector

• Ensuring sound resource allocation plans, proposition briefs and business cases are developed

• Facilitating group activity e.g. proposition squad or working group, including cross-functional decision making, dependency, risk, and issue mediation

• Effectively and efficiently coordinating any changes to the implementation plan, using tools such as service blueprints, working in collaboration with Internal stakeholders, to ensure than any amendments are driving the product/proposition towards the desired outcome

• Working with the Senior Manager (Giving Platforms) and Programme Community of Practice to establish appropriate governance frameworks

• Working with external stakeholders, such as third-party fundraising platforms to meet CRUK in year and long-term goals

What skills are we looking for?

• Experience of project management principles and methodologies - aligned to the need of the programme and best practices

• Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders either within a charitable or commercial environment

• Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and meetings to deliver the required outcome within the time allocated

• Ability to work within a complex and ambiguous environment, ensuring speedy decision-making and timely resolution of issues, including the ability to understand, work and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Adoption of a growth mindset-constantly seeking ways to improve and champion existing processes and approaches within the wider business

• Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively within a cross-functional and cross-disciplinary environment, explaining complex information clearly at a senior level

• Strong commercial skills and financial awareness.

One role will provide high-level support to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), while the other will focus on helping our Communications and Helpline team deliver their vital services. About the roles

Executive Assistant

This role will support the smooth day-to-day functioning of the CEO’s office, helping manage key processes, communications, and external relations. You’ll be central to diary coordination, board support, stakeholder liaison, and financial administration, contributing to strong governance and strategic delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

· Managing the CEO’s diary, inbox, travel and meeting logistics

· Preparing board papers, agendas, minutes, and reports

· Liaising with stakeholders and trustees

· Supporting advocacy and public affairs activity (e.g. parliamentary events)

· Helping with financial admin tasks such as raising invoices and supplier forms

· Providing wider administrative support to the senior leadership team as needed

This role would suit someone confident in managing sensitive information, working to tight deadlines, and liaising with senior contacts across the charity and beyond.

Communications & Helpline Assistant

This varied and rewarding role provides hands-on support to our helpline and external communications work. You’ll be helping our volunteers offer accurate and empathetic support to the public while also assisting with digital content, social media and outreach campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:

· Supporting helpline volunteer coordination, training and performance

· Helping develop and maintain helpline resources and records

· Creating and publishing content for our social media and website

· Supporting email marketing, digital analytics, and campaign promotion

· Assisting with press releases, stakeholder communications and events

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong communication skills, and an interest in digital content and community engagement.

· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Responsibilities

The role

CGL’s Business Development Team is a large national team. This role will sit within a smaller specialist services sub-team, who have responsibility for retaining existing specialist contracts and winning new business opportunities.

This new fixed-term role will be responsible for leading all business development activities related to the upcoming national Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS) opportunity.

You will work collaboratively with operational and central support colleagues to: develop service delivery models; form national, local, and regional partnerships; lead budgeting; and manage the writing of multiple concurrent tenders.

You will have the opportunity to visit and engage with our staff and service users across the country to learn about our services and specific local needs and challenges.

Ultimately you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of our services and will help us to deliver on our organisational mission, strategy and values.

About you

You’ll be an experienced manager and leader, with a proven track record in securing and retaining contracts and leading and managing complex tenders in the criminal justice field or services closely aligned to criminal justice. 

You’ll be a confined and highly competent communicator and have proven experiencing of developing national and local partnerships.

You’ll be an excellent writer, with experience of writing tenders, bids and proposals for national procurement processes.

You will have excellent IT skills, be highly numerate and be able to analyse and work with complex data and financial information.
