This charity empowers children, young people and adults from disadvantaged communities with the literacy skills they need to succeed. They work directly with young people and their families, with the 5,000 schools in these communities, with nurseries, prisons, YOIs and through their teams leading community literacy programmes in 20 places in the UK facing the biggest literacy and poverty challenges. Literacy is a vital element of action against poverty and their work changes people's life stories.

As Head of Digital, your core responsibilities will include:

• Lead the development and implementation of the charity's digital transformation strategy
• Provide digital leadership and expertise across the organisation
• Oversee the development of digital platforms to enhance brand and mission delivery
• Lead the delivery of key digital projects on time and within budget
• Enhance data analysis and CRM capabilities, developing reporting dashboards, generating data-driven insights and making recommendations to optimise performance and growth
• Manage the digital marketing budget and relationships with third-party suppliers
• Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to build, implement, and maintain a consistent and high impact brand strategy
• Lead high-quality campaign activity on all digital channels, demonstrating the charity's thought leadership and influencing policymakers and politicians and ensuring brand and messaging is consistent through all digital channels
• Oversee development of content for websites, social media and newsletters
• Ensure communications channels influence existing and potential donors and supporters of the charity

The charity invests in the skilled and inclusive workforce who are critical to the success of the screen sector, including UK film, TV, VFX, animation and games.

The Personal Assistant role is pivotal to the success of the charity and provides a high standard of administrative support and personal assistance to the CEO. You will also provide administrative support to the Interim Finance Director and Interim COO.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide high level of confidential PA duties, administrative and project support to the CEO, Interim Finance Director and Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) to enable the smooth and effective running of the charity
• Excellent and pro-active inbox and diary management whilst responding proactively to a range of organisational activities
• Act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, handling sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism

The PA will have proven experience in a similar PA/EA role within the charity sector, supporting executive-level leaders with excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills. You will demonstrate strong diary and email management abilities, accurate minute-taking for senior meetings, and proficiency across Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and remote communication tools such as Zoom and Teams. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with discretion in handling confidential information and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Experience in event coordination, document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive), and working in a fast-paced office environment is also required.

Desirably, the candidate may bring an interest in the screen sector, policy or education, experience with visual content tools like Canva, familiarity with AI tools, social media management, and the ability to provide basic tech troubleshooting. A calm, confident manner and experience working in a matrix environment would be advantageous.

This role is primarily office based (near Barbican) with 4 days a week in the office and 1 day a week from home. The core working hours are 9-5pm. Some very occasional evening or weekend working may be required but TOIL will be provided on those occasions.

We are seeking to recruit an Advocacy Coordinator to develop and coordinate the delivery of influencing strategies around the identified public policy priorities of the Methodist Church and the Joint Public Issues Team. In recent years these have includes issues around poverty, refugees and migration, the environment, the economy, peace and conflict, and politics.

About you

You’ll need to bring experience of coordinating campaigns or political advocacy initiatives and an understanding of different methods of working for policy change. You’ll need a good understanding of UK politics and of the context for public policy development, and to be a great communicator. You should be sympathetic to the mission of the Methodist Church, and share our commitment to seeking justice and to issues of equality, diversity and inclusion.

You would be working as part of the ecumenical Joint Public Issues Team, which brings together the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches, plus associate partners, to work together for peace and justice. About this key role

Your role will be to provide young person centred holistic support – including everything from helping clients to understand their own behaviour and its consequences, and promoting change, to helping clients’ families to support them and providing practical help with attending appointments, education, training and employment options, housing, benefits, debt and other aspects of day-to-day living. You’ll be part of a client focused SOS Team delivering casework services, predominantly Monday-Friday during office hours, and within Islington (although other hours and deployments may be required). You’ll also work closely with a range of partner agencies to ensure clients access the appropriate services and get the best outcomes.

Working flexibly within the community, with responsibility for one or more volunteers, you’ll be building effective and engaging relationships with young people involved in or at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system, with the aim of improving their life chances. You’ll conduct robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, and ensure that all young people work towards an agreed support plan which is regularly reviewed and adapted. You’ll also build effective relationships with agencies providing services to the client group, and enable clients to engage in positive activity within the community (e.g. boxing, football, etc).

What we are looking for:

• Significant experience of working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults and delivering interventions that have had a positive impact – preferably in a health and wellbeing context and/or on an offender led support project.
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy, with the ability to assess clients’ needs. 
• Extensive experience of managing complex safeguarding issues with children, young people and adults who are at risk of violence or exploitation, whilst working alone.
• Understanding of the physical, social, emotional and developmental needs of children and young people, their specific needs as they transition to legal adulthood, and the issues they face, e.g. exploitation, victimisation, offending, school exclusion, unemployment, trauma.
• Extensive knowledge of the impact of context – with a clear understanding of best practice around contextual safeguarding and those experiencing harm outside the home.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice in the context of working with children, young people and parents/carers impacted by violence and exploitation, and of how trauma –including from their own lives – can impact on how practitioners manage cases.
• Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation/policy, with experience of providing support, advice and advocacy to staff with a safeguarding responsibility.
• Understanding of the importance of good quality case recording quality assurance principles. 
• Ability to use electronic case management systems to record all aspects of the role, including action plans, outcomes and session data on a day-to-day basis.
• Recognition of the importance of resilience in coping with the emotional demands of the role and demonstrable experience of managing your own wellbeing.
• Relevant qualification to a good standard or equivalent experience – ideally with relevant accredited training such as safeguarding, counselling or mental health first aid.

The postholder will research, create and deliver engaging, user-focused content, and deliver a seamless user content experience throughout all content development. Working with kinship carers and subject matter experts will be a big part of your role. 

You will be working on content in a range of formats, including web copy, printed guides, presentations for training, workshop materials (digital and printed), video and more.

One day you could be carrying out research with kinship carers, on another you could be doing paired writing with a subject matter expert to explain the different types of kinship care. 

Content Design by Sarah Winters and Rachel Edwards and Designed with Care: Creating trauma-informed content by Rachel Edwards will be your guides to best practice and content design principles. You’ll be confident facilitating discovery and research and building user stories and job stories with clear user goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take complex language, processes and legislation to design content that is clear, simple and allows users to achieve their goals (creating user stories and job stories). 

• Facilitate and support user research using empathy mapping, user journeys and other techniques to understand user goals. 

• Champion the needs of the user (including our internal users) and turn them into easily digestible, scannable and actionable content. 

• Embed content design processes in the charity and upskill internal team members, building templates which support delivery of goal-oriented content. 

• Actively learn from external organisations and peers, using best practice to test new approaches (for example using AI to support content-led products and services). 

​Essential experience includes:

• Experience of designing user-centric, jargon-free content across digital and non-digital channels

• Experience of mapping user journeys from user research and working with subject matter experts to turn complex language and processes into easily understandable content

• An ability to influence and support key stakeholders and colleagues to understand the value and impact of content design principles

• Experience of working with users and an understanding of the barriers they may face when accessing content, taking a trauma-informed approach to content design

• Strong prototyping skills and knowledge of how to test content with users

• Experience in delivering and coordinating successful content projects, from understanding user needs through to creation

We are looking for a Student Advisor to join our Advice team, helping students navigate challenges and make the most of their time at UAL. Sometimes you'll act as an advocate for students in university meetings or help them put together a strong case to get the outcome they're hoping for. You'll also play a big role in our outreach - running drop-ins creating resources and delivering activities to raise awareness of our services across various sites. In addition you'll contribute to service improvements, research projects as well as working with our student leaders on specific projects. It's a varied role where no two days are the same while making a real difference to students' lives.

Through our Access & Participation Plan 2025–2029, we have made ambitious commitments to expand of this work to improve young people’s educational outcomes and address challenges to university access and broader inequalities.

We work to address local barriers to education such as mental health, pathways to citizenship, access to English language provision and issues around employment and fair wages. We do this through our partnership with South London Citizens. This role leads on the development and delivery of community organising initiatives and supports the wider integration of these methods across King’s. Through community organising, the role empowers school leaders, young people and parents to design, launch and sustain impactful campaigns. The post holder will work closely with Citizens UK organisers and colleagues across King’s to build strong partnerships and drive meaningful change, including engagement in broader, high profile local, regional and national initiatives.

The postholder will use community organising methodology to lead and expand our core community organising programmes which are currently, Parent Power South London, Empoderando Familias (in partnership with Citizens UK) and Empower ESOL. A key focus will be driving the strategic growth of our flagship Parent Power programme into new regions in collaboration with The Brilliant Club, where we have a commitment to support the launch of a new chapter each year through to 2028/29. This initiative empowers parents and carers to engage actively in their children’s education while building strong networks of community organisers who drive meaningful change at both local and national levels. The postholder will act as the main liaison with Citizens UK, The Brilliant Club and work closely with internal key stakeholders to support wider community organising initiatives and deliver training for SMWP staff.

Are you passionate about using evidence and data for good? As a new role, you will have the exciting opportunity to support and transform how we use health-related dementia data in the development and curation of our strategic evidence base. Clear and impactful data is key to understanding the scale and impact of dementia in the UK, and this role will be pivotal to ensuring we’ve got what we need.
Your role will be critical to informing research, influencing and engagement activity through deep-dive analysis and synthesis of existing data, identification of potential data gaps and methods to fill them, and the production of jargon-free, engaging interpretation and information for both internal and external use.
You will work alongside the Dementia Data and Intelligence Lead, together providing expertise on evidence, data and insight in the context of dementia, ensuring that the Society’s decisions and interpretation of dementia and the system are based on the highest quality of dementia evidence. You’ll also work closely with other members of the Strategic Evidence team - our in-house experts for dementia data, economics, care and clinical research evidence, responsible for gathering and generating evidence on the scale and impact of dementia across the UK, contributing authoritative, impactful evidence to inform policy making and strategic decision-making.
You will be part of an even larger Evidence, Policy & Influencing (EP&I) function, which is laser-focused on ending the devastation of dementia through changing policy. Teamwork and communication are key in this role – with colleagues internally and with the system externally to help make dementia the priority it needs to be.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Strategic Evidence team and shape how we use data and intelligence to inform what we know about dementia.
About you
You’re a data analyst with previous experience of analysing data to inform policy and/or strategic decision making who thrives on bringing clarity to complex questions using data. You understand the importance of clear communication when it comes to sharing data and intelligence with technical and non-technical audiences. You’re passionate about using data and evidence for good, and you can understand the need for impactful data and evidence in the current health and social care landscape. - Qualification in a discipline relevant to data analysis or equivalent demonstrable work experience.

- Experience of using software packages or coding languages to efficiently process data and produce shareable outputs (R Studio, SQL, Python etc.).
- Experience of preparing briefings, reports and other creative assets to support the sharing and mobilisation of data insights.
- Experience of providing advice and guidance on how to use data insights to team members and other internal colleagues.
- Experience of analysing and appraising data to inform policy and/or strategic decision making.
