This role requires a collaborative and entrepreneurial self-starter who can effectively manage and grow our existing network of funders, while also contributing to the development of our evolving business model.
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience in securing income from corporate partnerships and/or trusts and foundations

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Officer supports the delivery of effective communications across the cycling industry and within Trust-led projects. We are the Wandsworth representative of the national City of Sanctuary (CoS) charity. This project will support the committee and expand our activities in the voluntary and community sector and elsewhere to build commitment to Sanctuaries in the Borough. Wandsworth has a small but active network supporting refugees. The existing sanctuaries include a theatre, cafe and shop. Our Wandsworth libraries are en route to become sanctuaries and there is active interest from schools and faith groups. The contract is initially for 62 days over one year. Background to the project
The Project is supported by Wandsworth Council as a Borough of Sanctuary and by Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN). Note that for the year 2025 Wandsworth is the London Borough of Culture.
Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees is a charity and operates primarily on a voluntary basis. We aim to make Wandsworth a welcoming place for those seeking sanctuary to feel safe, supported and part of our community. WWR is part of the City of Sanctuary movement and is the accredited organization in Wandsworth. We work with voluntary and community sector (VCS) and other organisations to encourage and support those wishing to reach out to refugees. We liaise with those interested in finding out more, offering general support, offering general support, or seeking to become accredited with City of Sanctuary.
Objectives of the project
The project will support the WWR committee activities and objectives. It will expand WWR reach and contacts in the VCS and other appropriate places and organisations. It will raise the profile of the sanctuary movement and encourage active participation by various organisations to create welcoming communities for people seeking sanctuary. Participation can range from an interest and small steps through to becoming accredited with City of Sanctuary.
Wandsworth and Sanctuaries
Sanctuaries include community groups, private organizations, public sector services, and individuals, united in their commitment to supporting those fleeing violence and persecution. Wandsworth is a Borough of Sanctuary, and the accredited organisations at present include a theatre, café and shop. Wandsworth libraries and some faith groups and schools are in the process of applying to become accredited. There is interest from other theatres, shops, sporting facilities and many others.

Prospectus is delighted to be working with our client to recruit a Foundation Management Role to join the team in a part-time role (3 or 4 days per week). The person in this role will ideally be London-based, and would be expected to work from the East London office for 1 or 2 days per week.
The role:
In the Foundation Management Role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing a wide range of activities that support the Foundation's mission and operations. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and passionate about social impact, with strong communication and project management skills.
This will involve coordinating annual workshops and bursary awards with the London Academy of Excellence, Tottenham (LAET), supporting graduate engagement at careers fairs, and managing the LAET Alumni Mentoring Programme including mentor recruitment, matching, and insight events.
You will identify and promote group volunteering opportunities across regions, encourage staff participation, and maintain Foundation communications including website updates and content sharing on TexNet and LinkedIn. You'll support Foundation reps in planning quarterly market events and the annual London market challenge, and deliver Foundation overviews during new joiner inductions using key materials.
The role includes presenting Foundation updates on group calls approximately three times per year, reviewing and reporting on IVAR Open & Trusting grant-making commitments annually, and participating in accountability discussions every two years. You'll engage with the London Funders Network and sector learning events, provide regular updates to trustees, and contribute to strategic discussions. You'll also prepare and deliver an annual presentation for the company offsite, recruit and onboard new Foundation reps annually, support their regional initiatives, identify training opportunities for our Charity Staff Support & Development Fund, and manage our Sponsorship and Emergency Funds.
Finally, you'll identify and liaise with charity partners aligned with trustee priorities, manage reporting, and oversee Foundation budget planning and grant scheduling in collaboration with Finance.

Merton Winter Night Shelter provides a much-needed emergency shelter for the homeless during the coldest winter months. We are seeking a part time Project Assistant to work with the Project Coordinator, who leads the project on a permanent basis. Min 6hrs over 3 evenings per week and occasional management meetings outside of the shelter. This would be initially shadowing the Project Coordinator at the different shelter venues and then independently and unsupervised attending venues supporting venue convenors and their volunteers. The hours will include weekends and bank holidays.
Purpose of Job:
· Supporting the Project Coordinator in managing and coordinating the Night Shelter to ensure that all venues give a consistent service to all homeless persons accepted into the shelter, i.e., its guests.
· Standing in for the Project Coordinator in supporting shelter convenors and their volunteers on two evenings per week after initial induction.
· Assisting the Project Coordinator in providing advice and support to help each guest work through the challenges they are facing, recognising that homelessness is often a result of complex and multiple problems.
Responsibilities:
In close consultation with the Project Coordinator to:
· Liaise with the Host Venue Co-ordinators to ensure timely communication and information, particularly in maintaining the Shelter Log Book, to enable the smooth running of the shelter.
· Support guests who are using services for welfare, legal, debt, housing and other specialist issues, where necessary.
· Engage with vulnerable people in a sensitive, empathetic and professional manner.
· To assist in maintaining detailed case records ensuring all sensitive data is adequately protected and handled.

1. IT Coordination

Purpose of the post
The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project. We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.
This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including: establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks.
Main responsibilities
Planning & strategy delivery
· Ensuring the study delivers the values and approaches set out in the AHS engagement and involvement strategy
· Planning, delivering and reporting on an ongoing, regular and important programme of engagement events and activities
· Reviewing/revising/adding to existing policies, processes and procedures to support effective working together with people and communities (such as reimbursement, compensation, making reasonable adjustments)
· Developing and implementing appropriate evaluation, monitoring and reporting of Community Engagement & Involvement

· Understanding and experience of good practice in youth engagement and involvement, including the principles and implementation of safeguarding, data protection, and inclusive practice
