As a Community Fundraiser you will:
- Generate and grow income through inspiring community fundraising activities.
- Engage, recruit, and support individual fundraisers, challenge event participants, fundraising groups, and Charity of the Year partners.
- Build and sustain a strong supporter base through excellent stewardship.
- Work collaboratively with a passionate, fast-moving team and across departments like PR, Marketing, Research, and Policy.
- Travel locally for key events and work flexibly to meet fundraising goals.
To be successful, you must have experience:
- Experienced in community fundraising with a proven track record of meeting financial targets.
- A confident communicator,
- Exceptionally organised, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proactive, independent, and driven by a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Flexible with working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Salary: £31,000 per annum + LW of £3,500 per annum (where applicable).

We are looking for a full or part time interim Trusts Fundraiser for a one year contract to support a wonderful local charity based in Kent. This is a home based role with some on site visits occasionally.
The Charity

The Role
Identify and research potential trust and foundation funders and develop a warm pipeline of potential donors.
Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure funding for specific projects and core activities.
Maintain and develop relationships with existing trust and foundation donors.
Manage a pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of application statuses.
The Candidate
Strong experience raising income through trusts and foundations.
Strong research skills with the ability to translate concepts into effective action plans.
Exceptional proposal development and writing skills

About this Role
The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing and promoting IAPO's mission and initiatives through effective marketing and communication strategies. The Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering advocacy campaigns and engagement activities, creating compelling content, managing social media channels, and amplifying IAPO's online presence and visibility within the global health community. The role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for non-profit work. The post holder will report to IAPO's Chief Executive Officer and work closely with all staff members.
The post holder must be prepared to work collaboratively in a relatively small team. They should be prepared to contribute to the friendly, positive and mutually supportive atmosphere that has been developed at IAPO. The post holder is expected to model IAPO’s values and to take an empowering approach to their work with IAPO’s members, within the staff team, and with other stakeholders.
It is essential that the post holder has experience in a related role such as communications officer, or other relevant position, for at least 3 years.

In this role, you’ll contribute directly to improving the communities your host serves while earning a salary of at least £25,000 (or £25,642 if based in London).

Launched in 2017, 2027 was born out of a desire to shift power in the grant-making sector. It aims to bridge the gap between funders and the communities they serve—particularly by addressing the lack of people with lived experience of working-class communities in decision-making roles. 2027 helps change who is involved in making funding decisions and how those decisions are made.
The Job
In your placement, you could be:
- Managing parts of a grant portfolio
- Building relationships with community partners
- Making funding recommendations
- Preparing reports and updates for trustees
- Engaging with the funder’s broader organisation to inspire interest in community work
- Ensuring legal and compliance obligations are met
- Representing your host externally and bringing in outside learning

You will be a passionate and experienced advocate for health, human, social or environmental rights, committed to driving meaningful change in the UK. You will bring proven expertise in leading policy, advocacy, or parliamentary engagement work - ideally within health, human rights, social or environmental justice sectors - and thrive in building strong, strategic relationships with government, civil society, and community stakeholders.
You have a good understanding of the structural causes of health inequality and the power of human rights frameworks to address them. You will know how the UK political and parliamentary systems work, and you are skilled at influencing these processes through clear, compelling narratives backed by evidence.
You are able to communicate with clarity and impact, tailoring your message to diverse audiences - from policymakers to grassroots activists. You are confident working independently and collaboratively within a small, flexible team, balancing strategic vision with practical delivery. Your approach is solutions-focused, inclusive, and grounded in the lived realities of people affected by health inequalities.
