This role sits right at the centre of how Fundraising delivers projects, plans effectively and keeps momentum across a busy, fast moving directorate. We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded Project Manager who can bring structure, pace and clarity to a varied portfolio of work, while building strong relationships across teams and senior stakeholders. Working closely with the Fundraising Leadership Team and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll play a key role in shaping how projects are prioritised, planned and delivered. You’ll be trusted to challenge processes, influence decision-making and introduce practical project management approaches that genuinely improve delivery across the directorate. Alongside managing strategic projects from end to end, you’ll also help develop project management capability across teams by sharing best practice, improving consistency and creating tools and frameworks that people actually want to use.

You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

Have you been a Project Manager in the charity sector working on a large complex government funded project?  Are you used to coming in, setting up project structure: gant charts, risk registers, project plans, governance, funder reporting systems etc?

An opportunity is available to join a recognised Royal College on becoming the project lead for a new government funded project.

This role offers flexible hybrid, mostly home working and an 18 month contract.

The role:

As Project Manager, you coordinate all the varied work streams associated with the funded project.   

Responsibilities:

• Lead on development from high level concept to successful delivery
• Document project deliverables, plans, resources and benefits.
• Facilitate and contribute to project governance structures including steering groups, and boards, and convening, facilitating and managing working groups.
• Drafting requirements and seeking quotations, managing tenders, negotiating contracts
• Volunteer recruitment and event procurement
• Undertaking stakeholder mapping and developing full project communication plans.
• identifying and managing the implementation of system changes
• Providing regular, timely and accurate status updates and assessments of project performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring income and spend against budget, highlighting variances
• Drafting, contributing to and editing briefings, committee papers, reports, presentations and other documents

Essential criteria:

• Experience project managing funded projects in the charity sector
• Ability to manage multiple project streams
• Skilled with reporting and stakeholder engagement
• Demonstrable experience producing project plans, monitoring and reporting systems
• Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at varying levels
• Track record in project delivery completion

Salary:  £41,600 - £44,000
Contract: Fixed term 18 months

The Role:

As a proactive and innovative Project Manager for Professional Development, you will support our CPD team. This new role is pivotal in ensuring effective systems management and record keeping, stakeholder engagement and relationships across various educational projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the management of a large, growing and innovative Schools CPD programme, in person and online
• Manage administrative tasks including documentation, scheduling, and reporting for CPD programmes
• Using tools such as Canva, Microsoft Office suite, MailChimp and WordPress to create and disseminate high-quality educational resources and communications in line with HEP brand guidelines
• Produce content to market and sell our professional development programme to schools in and beyond our membership
• Support all customers, members and non-members, to access the HEP offer
• Develop and nurture strong stakeholder relationships with schools, educators, CPD trainers, local authorities and other partners
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational innovation, policies, regulations and political landscape affecting schools and the education sector to inform the next steps for CPD
• Collaborate closely with the wider HEP team to deliver strategic goals of HEP
• Work independently and efficiently under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld
• Demonstrate a strong moral purpose and understanding of the mission and values of Haringey Education Partnership

Qualifications and skills:

• Educated to at least degree level(or equivalent experience) 
• Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office and basic website management tools
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ambitious, resilient, proactive and a dedicated team player committed to continuous improvement in education
• Experience of marketing or sales an advantage

About Us

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. The Role

As Project Manager, you will lead projects from early feasibility through to completion, managing consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

You’ll also play a key role in the delivery of the Roehampton Restored programme, contributing to a flagship project that will shape the future of Richmond Park.

About You

To be considered as a Project Manager, you will need:

• Proven experience managing construction or capital works projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate
• Knowledge of project delivery frameworks (RIBA stages, governance, risk management)
• Experience working with consultants and contractors in a multi-disciplinary environment
• A solid understanding of health and safety legislation (e.g. CDM 2015)
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
