About MAG:

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation based in Manchester, UK, and working in 32 countries. We remove landmines and unexploded ordnance to release safe and productive land for communities, and work to reduce the threat of armed violence by supporting governments to safely manage weapons and ammunition. In 1997, MAG was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for our work campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.

About the role:

MAG is for looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced project manager to be a strategic business partner with leaders and senior managers across MAG, to lead, drive and support a coordinated approach to the design, delivery and evaluation of sustainable business change, and associated projects, that contribute to the delivery of MAG’s strategy. This role will be responsible for the delivery, integration/coordination and communication of cross organisational projects and change management initiatives. Ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with MAG’s vision, mission and values. 

This is a new role, in MAG’s Governance and Business Transformation department, which is responsible for driving, fostering and helping build a culture of change and project management at MAG. As this is a new role, it is initially for a two-year contract subject to review.

About you:

The successful candidate will be a qualified project manager and have a recognised change management certification or qualification. You will have significant experience of leading and or supporting all aspects of small to large-scale and simple to complex, integrated business change and process improvement initiatives, using relevant change and project management approaches. You are, focused, pragmatic, and someone who excels at engaging and working with colleagues at all levels on multiple cross-organisational projects. Experience of having worked for an international NGO or comparable organisation is ideal, not essential. 

Fluency in English is required, competency in another language is beneficial.

Job Purpose - Project Delivery Manager 

Responsible for the overall management of a defined project(s); establishing the membership of a cross functional project team; ensuring that the work is done within agreed time, cost, and quality tolerances; ensuring execution; ensuring post project evaluation.

Key Result Areas

• Deliver the definition, planning, development, and operational implementation of a new system(s) across the organisation.

The Young People Programme Manager will work with the Creative Learning team at Factory International to develop, deliver and manage programmes of work with young people between the ages of 14 and 30. This role will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic partnerships with commercial brands, as well as developing new streams of work with a focus on sharing power through curatorial programme decision making, programming and youth governance.

Creative Learning develop and deliver learning programs with young people and children from Cradle to Creative (the age of 0 through to 30) with a focus on underrepresented children, young people and artists. All of our programmes have a social and emotional learning outcome and focus on improving mental health, wellbeing and resilience. Learning programmes are linked to Factory International artistic commissions with wider curatorial themes drawn out to align with social and emotional frameworks.

In the last 12 months, the team has worked with over 25,000 children and young people across Greater Manchester and the North.
 

Young People Programme Manager Responsibilities;

• Develop and deliver innovative, ambitious and transformational programmes for young people with a focus on wellbeing, mental health, and social/emotional learning
• Work with young people to develop their ideas into world class artistic productions
• Manage key strategic relationships, advocate and widen networks for our work across sectors including commercial, creative, educational, cultural and charitable
• Locate, recruit and manage some of the most exciting artists working locally, nationally and internationally to deliver on programmes, with a focus on artists that are underrepresented

Local Motion Project Manager

The role

The post holder or this role will be responsible for the work of LocalMotion in Oldham and ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate to achieve their shared vision.

The shared purpose of LocalMotion is to learn how all elements of our societal structure, including funders, sectors, and citizens, can work together equitably within a geographical place to positively disrupt the normal patterns and vicious cycles that are holding communities back, to reimagine a more just future for everyone. And for the collective learning to influence change at a local and national level.

· To provide effective and visible leadership of the LocalMotion work in Oldham, both within Oldham itself and within the wider LocalMotion movement and network.

Job Purpose - Facilities Manager - Projects 

The role holder will report directly to the Head of Estates whilst working closely with the Facilities Manager and the wider team, as well as operational colleagues.

The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of specific ad hoc estates projects, whilst also providing support to the wider Estates team in the delivery of business-as-usual activity to ensure the development of an estate that delivers outstanding outcomes for the people we support, ensuring the portfolio is managed safely, cost effectively and in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

This role requires an individual with strong project management capability within an estate’s environment, with a demonstrable track record of delivery of projects on time, to Budget and to the requisite level of quality.

Reporting directly to the Head of Estates, the role holder will: 

• Lead the estates input in the expansion of the existing property footprint.
• Onboard new additions to the estate’s property portfolio efficiently and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with operational colleagues ensuring “best outcomes” are delivered for the people we support in the development and maintenance of the estate.
• Support the wider estates team in the delivery of business-as-usual activities.
• Be visible and on site to ensure the smooth running of projects and the timely resolution of issues. 

Dimensions

Whilst the role currently has no direct reports assigned, the level of project activity and the consequential resource requirements will determine any additional staffing needs. The nature of individual projects will determine this although it is anticipated that project spend will be circa £0.5m+ per annum.

Principal Accountabilities

Estates and Facilities Management 

• Responsibility: Act as the senior estates and facilities professional on project work assigned. 

• Project Plans: Ensure there is a clear and documented estates plan for each project assigned and lead the implementation of these plans to ensure best possible outcomes for the people we support. In the planning and delivery of projects, the role holder must ensure that due consideration is given to operational requirements. 

• Project Performance: Ensure a robust contract performance management framework is in place for each project. 

• Regulatory: Ensure all project work is undertaken in accordance with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements. 

• Resource Management: Manage and co-ordinate both AFG staff and external contractors in the delivery of projects. Where required mitigating actions/plans may need to be taken to ensure that projects are delivered to requirements. 

• Onboarding: With support from the Head of Estates, lead the estates input re. property acquisition (both support with the identification of appropriate property and subsequent due diligence). 

• Expansion: With support from the Head of Estates, lead the estates input re. the expansion of existing estates footprint. 

• Business Cases: Prepare business cases, feasibility studies for consideration by the Head of Estates and onwards by the Executive/Director team. 

• Business as Usual Estates Activity: The role holder will be required to work alongside the Estates Manager and the wider estates team in the delivery of business-as-usual estates activity (including site visits, contract monitoring meetings, supervision of reactive repairs etc.), where project requirements mean the role holder has capacity to undertake this work. 

Financial Management

• Financial Performance: Manage project related budgets, ensuring projects are delivered to Budget, to the requisite quality and to time. 

• Procurement: Work closely with the Procurement team to source potential suppliers for services and ensure those services are sourced on a “Value for money” (VFM) basis, and in accordance with the terms of the Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. 

• Tenders: Working closely with the Procurement function of the Charity, take the estates lead in tender activity where assigned, ensuring that activity is undertaken in accordance with the Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. 

• Cost Reduction/Service Improvement: Lead in ensuring we are continually striving to reduce cost/improve service provision. 

• Commercial Acumen: Commercially savvy to drive continuous improvement opportunities (both financial and operational).

About the role

A new and exciting opportunity to work with us across the England North region supporting our Liveable Cities and Towns and Paths for Everyone programmes, to encourage walking, wheeling and cycling to new and different users. 

As a Project Officer, you will organise and deliver engagement activities with local community groups, community leaders, businesses, schools and volunteers on our community led infrastructure and National Cycle Network projects. 

You will work with diverse groups within the community who may not currently use the National Cycle Network and enable them to use and look after their local route.

Oldham Poverty Action Network Coordinator

The role

The post holder for this role will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Oldham Poverty Action Network and leading on bringing the Network members together, leading on the co-ordination of the key projects and programmes that tackle the root causes of Poverty in Oldham, ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate through the Network to achieve the Network’s shared vision. You will work closely with Oldham Local Motion who is a key funder of the Oldham Poverty Action Network.

The main things you will be asked to do in this role:

· To provide effective coordination of the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network and it’s associated programmes of work.

· To facilitate the Network’s meetings, creating the space for inclusive innovation through workshops and workstream meetings.

About the role

The Access Project is an evidence-based, data driven intervention. Central to our programme are the ways in which we use data to ensure each of our students receives the provision they need, to learn about how we can improve our delivery and to evaluate our impact on our students’ university prospects. We have developed sophisticated monitoring and evaluation systems bringing together data from a variety of sources to track students’ progress (impact management) as well as ascertain their outcomes (impact evaluation). We collect data on our students’ academic and socio-demographic background, their participation on our programme and progress on our bespoke university readiness scales, and their academic results and university destinations. We use this data to intervene in real time when delivery goes off-course but also to understand how The Access Project programmes affect student outcomes and publicize this impact externally.

As part of the Strategy and Impact Team, the Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data and to deliver and monitor our programme in a timely and effective way. They will manage, analyse, interpret, and present data and information, most of it recorded on our Salesforce system, to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also project manage distinct pieces of work ranging from system optimization to external reporting for impact-related projects and partnerships.

Duties and responsibilities

1) Ensure the efficacy of our monitoring & reporting systems

1. Identifies required changes related to how we collect and manage data in Salesforce so that programme delivery data is available in the right format and at the right frequency to support decision making across teams and allow for accurate reporting.
2. Make recommendations for changes to the Salesforce system in line with this and support the Operations Team with reviewing options.
3. Support other teams to have the confidence and skills to effectively use our monitoring & reporting tools and processes for their specific needs.
4. Identify required improvements to our data processes (e.g. processes for collecting/collating data, for automation, etc), and project manage their implementation.

2) Coordinate the use of data to guide tactical and strategic decision-making on programme delivery and design

1. Define the key questions for our termly performance management meetings and input into the design and content of the dashboards used in these fora.
2. Process and analyse data to derive useful insights about our programme delivery and present your findings effectively to various stakeholders to inform tactical conversations around programme design and delivery.
3. Ensure data is understood and used effectively in decision-making.‘delve deeper’ into programme data to understand trends highlighted by staff, students, and school leaders.schedule performance management meetings at the right time, ensure the right stakeholders are involved, and capture and follow up actions from these meetings as required.

3) Lead other evaluation, research and reporting activities

1. Ensure that student feedback is disseminated, analysed, shared, and used to inform ongoing performance management discussions
2. Lead the data contributions throughout our annual impact evaluation process which may include the preparation of large datasets, as well as analysis and interpretation of data.
3. Drive the monitoring and evaluation of pilot projects, e.g. development of monitoring tools and processes, data analysis, systems development, etc. prepare required datasets for external impact-related reporting. This includes tasks ranging from designing data collection processes, compiling the data, continuously adapting processes, and communicating effectively with all internal stakeholders.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. The full programme is listed on the CVAA UK website and inlcudes topics such as LGBTQ+ parenting; therapy for children; identity formation; racism and anti-racism; parenting courses; theraplay and many more.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the administration and delivery of the programme. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent. We are keen to have someone joiun us as soon as possible.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development to ensure that the courses are full, supported, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

Overview of Role:

As a Support Worker, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 years old who have experience of self-harm. Within that age group, you will predominantly be working with young people under 18. The post would suit an experienced support worker, preferably with knowledge of the issues experienced by young people who are trans / non-binary.

The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm. With our Constellation element working with young people aged 12-25. Since The Amber project was established in 2002 individual support and creative

Salary: £13,406 per annum (£26,812.00 per annum FTE).

Hours:  20 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager but will include late afternoons and early evenings to facilitate meeting with young people outside of school hours and attending workshops. Occasional weekends.
