Pivotal to our success is a partnerships specialist who will support the development of a countywide Children & Young People’s Mental Health Network. The Network will enable closer collaboration across the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector – which will ultimately result in better outcomes for young people.

Our aspiration is that the Network will then support the co-production of a formal Alliance model which we envisage will be commissioned in the Autumn.

The post-holder will support, guide, and facilitate this initiative, working with VCFSE partners to understand and meet the needs of the sector and those they support.

It's a part time role, working 22.5-30 hours per week on a 12-month contract. The salary is £30,000 per annum, pro rata.

Location: Peripatetic – North Lanarkshire, initially Shotts 

One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for a Programme Coordinator to run our Starfish Programme. Starfish is a mentoring programme designed to work with children and young people in schools, aged 9-16 years. Working within a school’s student wellbeing support, Starfish provides committed and trusted adults (mentors) to work with children and young people who need Early Help without which they would be at risk of not meeting their full potential. Their identified needs may related to their health, educational or social development. 

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide day-to-day mentoring, co-ordination, and development of the Starfish programme with local primary and secondary schools.
• To ensure Starfish operates efficiently to meet the aims of the programme to help support children and young people to reach their potential guided by a Trauma Informed Practice approach.
• Co-ordinate referrals to the programme, ensuring the receipt of all relevant information and match children and young people with mentors.
• Recruit and support volunteer Starfish mentors from local Salvation Army corps and other churches in line with Salvation Army volunteer and Safe & Sound guidelines

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• A qualification in children’s or youth work and/or good experience of working with children and youth aged 9-16 in education and or in the wider community. Applicants with transferable / relevant skills will also be considered.
• Knowledge of issues affecting young people (e.g. education, poverty, mental health)
• Excellent people skills and experienced in working with children and young people (individuals and groups) with the ability to create and run creative and age-appropriate positive mentoring activities.
• Must have the credibility and skills to represent The Salvation Army appropriately and professionally in a variety of settings and able to develop and harness external partnership opportunities and relationships.

This role has an occupational requirement to be a practising and committed Christian, actively involved with your own Church.

Café Manager

The Role 

An exciting Café Manager position has opened at our Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre, which houses a fully integrated Cancer Rehabilitation Centre, Shop, Donation Centre, Office, and our first-ever Café, named Café Hornbeam. 

We are looking for an experienced Café Manager who will provide excellent customer service, prepare delicious food, and create a warm and welcoming space, inspiring their Deputy Café Manager and team of employees and volunteers to do the same. This role will be accountable for the overall management of the Café, including process and policy adherence and development, and Food Safety. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Uphold and manage café operating procedures and policies, including Food Safety, Allergens, Health and Safety and Trading Standards.

• Manage the product mix, introducing new products where appropriate and maximising profit margins.

• Identify appropriate food and drinks suppliers and build and manage supplier relationships.

• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of developments within the café/food service industry to make or recommend appropriate changes to the delivery of café services and products.

• Ensure the café is presented to the highest standards with attractive merchandising of food and drinks. 

• Effectively manage time to work alongside the team, whilst completing managerial duties.

• Plan and oversee the implementation of new menus, specials, and food and drink related offers.

• Manage the Deputy Café Manager and Café Assistants, including supporting them with their continued development, managing rotas and timesheets, providing training and providing appropriate support when needed. 

• Maximise profitability through driving sales and managing and controlling costs, stock, and margins effectively. 

• Be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal.

About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• Proven experience of working in a catering or hospitality role at a similar level. 

• Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene Certification. 

• Experience in managing staff and/or volunteers including recruitment and development. 

• To be highly organised with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate yourself and others. 

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and nurture talent.

Your Job Description 

As a Youth Project Leader, you will: 

• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.

• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.

• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.

• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.

• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.

• Keep in touch with the parents/carers of the young people in your group about attendance, successes and challenges.

• Manage your project’s weekly admin by planning your sessions, maintaining your attendance and providing detailed project updates to your line manager.

This role is hybrid. The successful applicant will be required to work at our Bradbury House location on 2 Fridays each month when we run our drop-in and hold operational meetings. The address is Mayfield Road, Huntingdon, PE29 1UL. In addition, the post holder will be required to attend in person on other days as needed, for example, our Men’s Group in Huntingdon on Wednesday mornings, our Women’s Group on Wednesday evenings, and new activities on other days and locations around Huntingdonshire, together with occasional evening and weekend working in the Huntingdon area. 

The time commitment is 15 hours per week at the rate of £20 per hour. Our preference is for the post-holder to be a self employed contractor.

Day Opportunities Manager – working with adults with learning disabilities

Salary:                                up to £28,350 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Responsible for: Day Opportunity coordinators, seniors and support workers, volunteers and service users

We have an exciting opportunity to join Centre 404’s Learning and Leisure team as the manager of our Day Opportunities service.  This service supports adults with a wide range of needs to be active members of the community, increase their independence, develop their life skills and set themselves goals and achievements to work towards.

The post holder will be responsible for line managing the team who plan and deliver a broad programme of social and educational community-based activities.  You will oversee the smooth running of the service and be responsible for quality assurance while ensuring the identified aims of the programme are met. You will also oversee all associated administration, the recruitment and management of relevant staff and volunteers, and contribute to the running and ongoing development of the service.

The role will involve balancing multiple priorities, including strategic planning as well as hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a person-centred approach is maintained at all times and involving people in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for personal and professional development.

This job does require you to be an experienced manager who has planned and developed sessions for people with learning disabilities and led and motivated a team to ensure positive outcomes for people using the service.

The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.

All SVCs have similar Job Descriptions (JDs), but the focus of each SVC will be different i.e. our policy-focussed SVC would be most involved with the Policy subsection of the JD, whereas this democracy & governance-focused role would be most involved with the Democracy & Governance subsection of the JD. However, we expect all our SVCs to pivot between different areas as needed.

The Bike Project (TBP) is looking for a Marketing Executive to join the Fundraising & Marketing Team.  This role will focus on delivering marketing activity to help drive fundraising donations, increase income through retail sales, and boost engagement with our audiences. 

This is a key growth area for TBP, and the post holder will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing across a range of channels, including social media, email, search, and advertising. We are always exploring new avenues for obtaining fundraising income, and this role will work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute marketing campaigns that achieve this goal. The Bike Project has an entrepreneurial culture stemming from our online and physical bike shop, which raises considerable income annually. This post will contribute to encouraging sales through targeted marketing activities. At a key development time in the Marketing function of our organization, it’s an exciting period where we are exploring new opportunities for driving fundraising, income, and engagement. Homeless Hostel Project Worker

A leading homelessness charity in London have approached Morgan Hunt to recruit a Homeless Hostel Project Worker to work in their complex needs homeless hostel in west London. The service provides support to both men and women experiencing homelessness requiring support around their housing, mental health, drug and or alcohol dependency and physical health issues. You will be supporting clients that have recently been rough sleeping with a range of complex support needs assisting them in their progression to independent living.

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience working within a hostel or supported housing setting ideally with clients who have a history of homelessness
• Keyworking experience with clients who have a variety of support needs including homelessness, drug and or alcohol abuse, mental health and offending histories
• Ability and knowledge around housing and welfare benefits and income maximisation
• An enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or registered to the online update service

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Communications INC’s Delivery Coordinator is a dynamic and creative professional with great organisational skills. The role holder demonstrates expertise in project management, balancing tight deadlines and budgets to produce high quality materials for a wide portfolio of clients. 
The role holder works closely with their Delivery team colleagues and Account Managers to create materials that advance a portfolio of clients, projects and campaigns’ communications efforts. 
Alongside the Production Manager, the Delivery Coordinator drives forward production of innovative, attention grabbing written and visual content for print and digital applications and is a champion for enhancing systems and processes within the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production
- Coordination of end-to-end production processes for campaign materials, including videos, graphics, and print collateral.
- Support the liaison with external vendors, printers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new suppliers aligned with the Communications INC's values and the values of environmental and social responsibility.
- Contribute to the request for estimates from sustainable suppliers, aligning with project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate client requests for media and OOH advertising, liaising with designers, advertising agencies and the client as needed.
- Produce and manage production briefs, timeline and budgets as required.
- Source high-quality images for campaigns while adhering to copyright and licensing regulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of licensed images and provide proper documentation for usage rights.
- Manage and organise a centralised filing system for final product files, ensuring easy accessibility and version control.
- Support team with proofreading requests.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail across all deliverables, ensuring delivery of the highest quality materials.
- Project management and lead on clients and projects to be agreed.

Creative
- Basic design and layout for assets such as event invites, save the dates, social tiles, factsheets, business cards, PPT decks.
- Basic video-editing for social media including adding subtitles, intro/outros.

Digital
- Support the coordination of digital asset management and distribution for campaign content across various online platforms, optimising for different channels.
- Maintain clients' websites to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest content,news stories, and blogs using CMS platforms. Serves as main content uploader to clients’ websites, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
- Assist with the coordination of email newsletters using CRM platforms as needed.
- Collaborate with senior team members, web developers, and designers in the planning, execution, and maintenance of web design and development projects.
- Work with creative teams to provide support in creating visually compelling content for events.

General delivery duties
- Collaborate with virtual, cross-functional teams to accomplish organisational, project and campaign objectives.
- Proactively contribute to campaign logistics and general administration.
- Provide input into overall delivery strategies.
- Work alongside the team to troubleshoot and resolve any production or digital delivery issues that may arise during the campaign lifecycle.
- Provide timely handover of delivery materials to colleagues and management when going on leave.
- Proactively monitor delivery processes and systems through reporting and feedback.
- Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by Directors and Production Manager.
- Project manage and lead on delivery-related projects as requested by Directors and Production Manager.
- Attend key events on behalf of a range of clients, performing ad hoc delivery duties as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential requirements
- Familiarity with wordpress and/or a similar CMS.
- Experience with SEO/SEM and digital marketing campaigns.
- Video-editing experience.
- Strong design/layout skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and thrive in a high change, international, and virtual work environment.
- A can-do attitude, with an ability to keep calm under pressure and to use your own initiative, good at prioritising, managing reactive work, balancing multiple requirements and adapting to new situations.
