In order to fulfil its mission of providing coverage of global philanthropy, Alliance Publishing Trust actively partners with philanthropy organisations worldwide. These partnerships provide real benefits to our partners as well as expanded visibility of our work, coverage of global philanthropy events and help to grow the readership of Alliance magazine. Working alongside the Networks & Engagement Lead, you - as Partnerships Manager - will be the lead for Alliance’s existing partnerships, ensuring they are delivered, reviewing their impact and deepening our relationships with them. You will also scope and cultivate new partnerships that are in line with the wider objectives of the organisation.

Building on the skills above, you will also be responsible for the management of all of our event coverage contracts. Working with the partner and co-ordinating colleagues to deliver premium coverage of some of the leading events in global philanthropy.

About the role

The Senior Developer (Full-stack) plays a key role in developing and enhancing user-centric digital products at Christian Aid. This position focuses on delivering high-quality front-end (70%) and back-end (30%) solutions on the Drupal CMS, ensuring seamless and intuitive user experiences.

Working closely with the Technical Lead, you’ll address complex challenges identified by stakeholders and user feedback, providing strategic direction and innovative solutions. If successful, these will enable us to expand the programme quickly, positioning the postholder as the Head of a national digital skills programme with a larger team and greater leadership remit.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the design and strategic direction of our Digital Skills programme, Ensure the service we are providing is high-quality, impactful, trauma-informed and aligned with Screen Share’s 2026–2030 strategy.

• Oversee the onboarding and support of hundreds of refugees looking to develop digitally, including supporting with the development of their Independent Learning Plan’s and journeys through Digital Champions 

• Recruite, coordinate and support our digital champions and staff to provide high-quality online and in-person classes, 1:1 support and effective sign-posting

• Maintain oversight of multiple Screen Share digital skills projects delivered over multiple locations. 

• Trial innovative digital inclusion tools and approaches.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact

• Design and oversee comprehensive impact measurement and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure the programme is most effective 

• Produce clear, data-centered programme and impact reports (quantitative and qualitative) for existing and prospective funders and partners

• Recruit, train and support Digital Champions and volunteers in a trauma-informed way

Partnerships & Fundraising

• Support our Outreach team in building and maintaining strong partnerships with our corporate, charity and government partners

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing financial processes and ensuring smooth operations. You will:

• Manage the accounts receivable function ensuring that invoices are raised in a timely manner, receipts are recorded on the accounting system and in liaison with the relevant managers ensure that outstanding balances are followed up on a regular and frequent basis
• Manage the accounts payable function ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner and supporting line managers with coding and uploading via HubDoc as necessary. Monitor entries in HubDoc (the application used to upload invoices to Xero – the accounting system used) to ensure any failed or unpublished invoices are followed up and accurately processed
• Bank and other Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Work closely with colleagues in the Programmes team to manage the receipt of income from charitable activities
• Liaise with the Development team and provide weekly breakdowns of grants and donations received to ensure that income can be properly recorded on the donor database
• Monitor and reconcile credit card and petty cash payments ensuring that all financial controls are adhered to
• Supporting the Finance Director with month and year end procedures and reporting

About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who can work both independently and collaboratively. You will bring:

• Have a solid understanding and experience of core accounting functions, financial management and bookkeeping – ideally in the charity or not for profit sector – including managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Have good Excel skills and demonstrable experience of using accounting systems (we currently use Xero)
• Have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Have a good understanding of the management of restricted and unrestricted funds in charities
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues
• Have experience of preparing schedules and documents for external audit

Job title: Professional Communities Manager

Line Manager Responsibility for: Professional Communities Co-ordinator

Location: This is a remote UK-based role with regular travel to CST’s national and regional events, mainly in Birmingham and London. Candidates within reasonable travel distance to these locations are preferred.

Salary: £41,603 - £45,470 a year.

Pension: We offer a workplace pension and life assurance scheme. CST makes contributions equivalent to 10% of your gross salary.

Annual leave: Initially 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional two days leave after three years’ service.

Working hours: Full-time 37.5 hours.

Job overview

The Professional Communities Manager leads the development, content curation, and operational delivery of CST’s 11 Professional Communities. These networks, events, and forums are a core benefit of CST membership and are provided free of charge to members.

This is a proactive, member-focused role that blends operational excellence with strategic content oversight. The postholder will work directly with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters, CST platinum partners and members to ensure that all communities are vibrant, professionally hosted, and deliver high-quality, relevant content.

The role also plays a key part in ensuring a joined-up approach to content across CST’s full range of activities, working closely with the professional learning and conference teams and partnerships to ensure alignment and maximise value for members.

Key responsibilities

 Strategic Development and Continuous Improvement

• Develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen the value, engagement, and content of CST Professional Communities.
• Set clear objectives and KPIs to monitor success and drive continuous improvement of community services.
• Regularly evaluate community activity, identifying ways to increase engagement, relevance, and impact for members.

Community Content Curation and Management

• Oversee the quality, consistency, and relevance of content across all 11 Professional Communities, ensuring alignment with member priorities and organisational objectives.
• Work in partnership with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters and CST’s platinum partnerships to proactively commission, curate, and quality-assure community content (e.g., webinars, blogs, resources, discussions).
• Work closely with the professional learning and conference teams to ensure a joined-up, coherent approach to content across CST activity, avoiding duplication and enhancing overall member value.
• Identify content gaps and work creatively, including drawing upon resources and contacts within the policy and partnership team to address them, ensuring a balanced and evolving programme across the communities.

Community Engagement and Facilitation

• Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person community events, ensuring professional delivery and high-quality member interaction.
• Support and brief speakers, chairs, and contributors to ensure a consistently excellent experience for members.
• Actively promote member engagement through community platforms and other channels, driving participation and interaction.

 Stakeholder Relationships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with CST members, community chairs, speakers, and supporters.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues across membership, communications, professional learning, policy, and conference teams to maximise the impact of community activities.
• Manage relationships with sponsors where appropriate, ensuring alignment with CST values.

Digital Platform and Event Management

• Oversee the effective use of digital and platforms (including CiviCRM and Hivebrite,) to host communities, deliver events, and share content.
• Manage operational aspects of events and online communities, ensuring smooth logistics and excellent user experience.

Data, Insight, and Reporting

• Monitor and report on community engagement, content performance, and member feedback, using data to guide improvements.
• Lead the ongoing development of data processes for the communities, ensuring accurate insights are captured and shared.

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage, develop, and support the Professional Communities Coordinator, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Adaptability and Wider Contribution

Head of Finance
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience

Joining the Executive Team and playing a central role in shaping the charity’s future, you will:

• Lead, manage and continually improve the finance function
• Provide accurate, timely financial reports to the CEO, Executive Team and Trustees
• Be Executive Lead for the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
• Oversee financial accounts, forecasting and reporting for large-scale programmes and estate developments
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including annual audits and reporting to the Charity Commission and Companies House
• Monitor cash flow, reserves and performance against the annual business plan
• Contribute to cross-organisation strategy and support colleagues on shared initiatives
• Lead and develop a small Finance team, including the Senior Finance Manager, Debt Recovery Consultant, Development Partnerships Lead and two Finance Officers
• Oversee IT and systems to ensure they are efficient, modern and aligned with organisational needs

This is a role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across all departments, ensuring the charity has the financial insight and stability to deliver life-changing projects.
 
About you
You’ll be a qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, ideally gained within a charity. You’ll bring:

• Confidence in leading finance operations and processes with strong attention to detail
• Experience of statutory reporting, VAT (including partial exemption) and financial compliance in a charity setting
• The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to colleagues and trustees
• Experience of introducing improved reporting tools and supporting others to use them
• Proven success in managing and developing teams
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the credibility and gravitas to influence at senior level

The role

Effective financial management is central to our strategy and operating model. The Finance Manager will be crucial in determining how we manage our finances, resources and operations whilst embedding a culture of financial efficiency and effective controls.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim Finance Manager will lead on financial matters and be expected to provide critical financial information, insightful analysis and timely reporting to facilitate the growth of the Charity.

The role is standalone but working within a closeknit team. It with therefore have a degree of autonomy but will be expected to contribute to the wider development of the Charity. This is a pivotal appointment within the Charity and will provide some broad exposure to the Board and Investment Committee.

We are therefore seeking a dynamic qualified accountant who has had wide exposure to financial reporting and processes, preferably within a fundraising Charity. Being a financial ‘all rounder’, there is a real opportunity to contribute to the way the Charity operates by instilling sound financial operations and providing meaningful financial reporting. The role provides an opportunity to lead the finance function and will suit a progressive accountant looking for this kind of responsibility.

We would therefore be looking for an individual that has demonstrable experience in operating financial functions and has the personality to fit within a charity that works collaboratively.
