Job description
 
This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

This is an exciting role that does not require extensive experience so a possible entry level opportunity, but it does require commitment, attention to detail, and an ability to grasp and accurately record strategic discussions.

An interest in communications would be advantageous, as there will be opportunities to support our social media and newsletter offer, as would an ability to write well and to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders.  Otherwise, aside from IT skills, which will be needed, it’s an opportunity to develop in a role where you will be doing anything from minuting meetings to writing tweets to calling our members to find out their views.  There may also be the opportunity to support other Inclusion Barnet projects from time to time. 

The successful candidate will become part of a friendly and supportive team, working within a focused but flexible culture, where diversity is valued and you can bring your whole self to work.

As a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation, we always welcome applications from disabled candidates, but lived experience of disability is not essential for this role.  However, the candidate will need a commitment to the social model of disability and a passion for thriving, inclusive communities.  We also particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates, who are currently underrepresented in our organisation.

The role will be part remote, but the successful candidate must be able to be work from our Colindale office if needed and travel to meetings around the Borough of Barnet when required.
