We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Administrator to assist the Executive Director: Finance and Resources with completing administration and payroll tasks to ensure a smooth running Finance Team.

You will administer aspects of donations and income, post donations received into our CRM system liaising with the Director of Fundraising, conduct Gift Aid claims, generate reports and utilise the CDS system to ensure all data is correctly entered and support given to all administrators.

You will administer the payroll and receipt system. Additionally, you will reconcile all costs, generate invoices and check that timesheets, holidays and absence are recorded correctly. This role requires you to work Monday to Friday but you must be willing to be flexible as and when required.

You must have a minimum of five A*-C GCSE passes, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent). Additionally, good IT skills, especially in Excel and administrative, recording and reporting skills are essential for this role.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.

Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.

The exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

This is a fixed term contract to November 2025.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
• Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
• Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families
• To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
• Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
• Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
• Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
• Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
• Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.
• Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.
• Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of low to medium risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
• Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
• Work with colleagues, health and social care professionals and multi-agency networks to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.
• Work directly and proactively with children and young people to help them to understand the impact that Domestic Abuse has had on them.
• Ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times.
• Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Plan and implement activities to promote self-awareness, confidence and participation for children.
• Provide person centred, trauma informed support to all your cases, to empower the young person to make informed choices.
• Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services.
• Work effectively in partnership with multiple statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance service delivery, safety and safeguarding.
• Respond to a child’s individual learning needs and style, adapting practice as necessary.
• Work closely with schools and education establishments to ensure support offered to service users is appropriate, planned and coordinated.
• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things.
• Act as duty officer for Wiltshire, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota. Duty shifts will be 9 – 5 in the Trowbridge Office.
• To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
• Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.
• To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach.
• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

Groups and Activities

• Work with the Childrens and Families Team Manager to develop and deliver, a group work intervention for young people.
• Assist with recruiting children and young people to be involved in the development of groups or activities, providing them with on-going support.
• Run groups for children and young people following a planned programme.

General

• Work at all times in accordance with the requirements of the Lone Working Policy and Procedure.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Update written and computerised records with accurate and clear information.

In October 2022 Salford City Council commissioned Salford CVS to undertake research into the strengths of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector as part of their Joint Needs and Strengths Assessment.

Every three years since 2008, Salford CVS leads on State of the VCSE Sector research in Salford and also across Greater Manchester. Working with other local infrastructure organisations, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the VCSE sector. Our last research report was published in 2021 and we have started planning for the research to be conducted this year.

In August 2023 we further developed our VCSE sector research and insight work with the commencement of our Salford 99 longitudinal study. This research project is designed to understand the issues affecting the VCSE sector in Salford and aims to track 99 VCSE organisations every six months for a three-year period, so that we gain ‘live’ insight in between our three-yearly State of the VCSE sector large research project. Alongside this work we conduct a Pulse Check survey with a variety of VCSE organisations to get a snapshot of what is changing for them each quarter.

This exciting VCS Research and Insight role involves a combination of VCSE engagement and insight work across Salford.

Context of the role.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

WomenMATTA delivers support services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one advice, advocacy, practical and emotional support, and group interventions.

This position will provide strategic oversight and operational management to all WomenMATTA services delivered through hubs across multiple sites in Manchester and Trafford, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are established and maintained, and budgets are appropriately managed.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Lead on the operational management and strategic oversight of WomenMATTA; ensuring high quality, trauma informed, and gender responsive services are delivered to vulnerable and marginalized women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.
2. Provide effective leadership to the WomenMATTA team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
3. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.
4. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as the Probation and local authority leads to ensure effective service delivery.

The Head of Scotland and Northern Ireland is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scotland currently leads the way in having a rights-based, progressive agenda to ending the need for food banks, but there is much to do to ensure political intentions become a reality. This role directs Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland and Northern Ireland, leads our Scotland and Northern Ireland department as they support our network of food banks and works strategically with key partners to tackle the underlying reasons why people need to come to food banks.  

Based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, with travel around the UK as necessary

Role responsibilities 

• Lead the delivery of the Trussell Trust strategy for ending the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland, working to embed the Changing Communities, Changing Minds and Changing Policy programmes across the network, including through providing strategic support for the effective delivery of the Pathfinder, FI and organising programmes in Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

• Work with key partners to direct Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs and work with the Scottish government and local authorities across Scotland. 

• Facilitate the sharing of learning from Scotland to help shape our long-term policy and public affairs work in Northern Ireland. 

• Lead the Scotland and Northern Ireland department to ensure the safe and effective operations of the food bank network. 

• Work with our Head of Strategic Church Engagement to deliver a church engagement strategy that will mobilise the church in Scotland and Northern Ireland to work to end the need for food banks. 

• Work with the Policy, Research and Impact, and Network Programmes and Innovation directorates to ensure effective cross-departmental working on policy and research opportunities, strategic priorities, church engagement, external partnerships and impact reporting. 

Person Specification 

Technical skills and minimum knowledge: 

• Senior level experience of leading delivery programmes nationally and locally. 

• Senior level experience of directing policy and public affairs programme nationally and locally, and representing the Trussell Trust to senior government representatives, national stakeholders and the media. 

• Expertise of significantly growing and managing services, project and programmes to drive change; leading, motivating and inspiring teams; leading culture change; able to manage multiple projects, identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities in order to meet agreed objectives. 

• An effective communicator, verbally and in writing. Diplomatic and with the interpersonal skills required by the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our senior management team as an Operations Manager. This role offers 3 days employment per week. The Operations Manager is an internally focused role that ensures the advertised service is delivered. You will be part of the senior management team ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a high quality advice service, including overall management of the advice session supervisors and volunteer team.

About the Service

Our 24 hour specialist refuge service provides support for homeless women facing multiple disadvantage including but not

limited to:

• Substance misuse needs, including those who are pre-contemplative mental health and neurodiversity chaotic lifestyles, including those displaying antisocial
• behaviour.
• History of offending behaviour and criminal justice.
• History of children being removed from their care and/or at risk of further removals.
• Affected by or at risk of sex working.

The team delivers 121 support in the form of weekly keywork sessions working within a psychologically informed framework to create a support plan with residents and build on skills and competencies, this will be a flexible delivery model and provide medium to high support that offers people a personalised pathway away from homelessness,

which builds on their strengths and aspirations for the future.

In addition, the team is responsible for the building management including Health and Safety, the repairs and living environment.

We are seeking a Service Manager to lead our Haringey Service. As the Service Manager you will ensure the provision of an excellent service for survivors of abuse, balancing the demands of supporting staff, managing partnerships, and contract compliance.

We are seeking someone with strong leadership skills with a commitment to keep survivors at the centre of service delivery whilst also delivering on service targets. You will have a passion for ending violence against women and girls as well as a thorough understanding of domestic abuse, multiple disadvantage and its impact on survivors.

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.

T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure  programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.

Citizens Advice Richmond (CAR) is a thriving advice organisation that is part of the national Citizens Advice network. We provide information, advice and casework support to around 5,000 people a year. Our services are delivered by a team of around 17 paid staff and 75 volunteers. We have a typical annual turnover of £700,000 and in addition to our core advice service, funded by Richmond Council, we have a range of projects funded by other charities.
