Digital Fundraising Manager (Paid Media & Growth)

Purpose of Role

Join us and lead innovative campaigns seen by millions, growing our supporter base and income across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels.

Working as our Digital Fundraising Manager, you’ll use your skills and expertise to change lives every day through your management of Comic Relief’s engagement with audiences across a range of digital platforms from Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels.

We’re looking for a Digital Fundraising Manager with strong paid media expertise to plan and deliver our integrated digital campaigns. In this role, you’ll work with brilliant in-house teams and partners in top-tier agencies to test new approaches, fine tune creative and use data to continuously optimise, as well as test and scale new, initiatives to recruit and engage supporters through joyful giving experiences. You'll work on flagship campaigns such as Red Nose Day, and you’ll play a leading role in growing support and income for Comic Relief around the clock; developing innovative new opportunities and partnerships to reach and engage audiences all year round. From supporter acquisition through to stewardship experiences, you’ll bring the unique brand of Comic Relief to life through the development of innovative digital experiences and seamless supporter journeys; be a go-to expert in planning and delivering our digital-first fundraising and engagement activity and practice rapid and continuous test, learn and optimization.

Key responsibilities:

· Lead Comic Relief’s paid media campaigns across display advertising, PPC, Meta, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels from strategy through to delivery, working closely with colleagues to align and optimise an integrated Paid, Owned and Earned strategy.

· Manage and optimise campaigns to drive acquisition, engagement and fundraising income.

· Use data driven insight and analytics tools to continually increase and optimise performance. 

· Integrate paid media with owned supporter journeys (web, email, CRM).

· Manage budgets, agencies and platform partners for maximum impact and value.

· Use GA4 and campaign dashboards to analyse results, run A/B tests and improve performance.

· Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent, personalised supporter experiences, ensuring that our paid media campaigns support and connect with our wider fundraising and supporter engagement goals.

· Monitor industry trends and emerging digital platforms, identifying opportunities in new formats, channels, platforms, data and creative to innovate and drive growth

· Support the creation of models and reports that show how paid media is driving donations and attracting new supporters.

Actively support the wider success of the team and organisation by:

· Contributing to the development of team wide annual plans and budgets, using learnings and insight to make recommendations to drive in-year and long-term income and supporter base growth.

Essential criteria

· Hands-on experience managing paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or similar) as well as working with paid media agencies. 

· Ability to use analytics (GA4 or similar) to analyse and optimise campaigns.

· Excellent data analysis skills and experience in briefing and analysing complex data and insight to produce clear briefs and effective marketing plans.

· Strong project management and stakeholder skills - comfortable juggling multiple campaigns and agencies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

· Experience integrating paid media with CRM, owned and earned channels.

· Experience in audience acquisition and growth strategies (particularly in driving engagement and fundraising through digital channels).

· A proactive self-starter who loves testing, learning and innovating and proven ability to work independently, managing own work plan to deliver against set goals and objectives to agreed timescales.

· Great communication skills - effective relationship builder with strong stakeholder management, able to adapt to different styles and ways of working.

· Experience of annual planning and year-round budget management, including ability to set detailed budgets and KPIs, reforecast and proactively manage campaign budgets

Susan’s Farm is an energetic organisation delivering a broad range of activities. Our charitable purpose is to transform people’s lives through learning and therapeutic experiences on an organic working livestock farm. After six years as a charity, and following a recent governance and staffing review, we are now seeking to appoint a dedicated managing director to oversee all aspects of the charity’s work. The Managing Director will join a small but committed staff team and report to enthusiastic board of trustees.

Susan’s Farm is based in Houghton, a small village 3 miles from Carlisle and delivers its educational activities on site as well as on the other half of our farm near Armathwaite and for a neighbouring farmer at Aglionby. We have a small learning centre at Houghton and also work closely with Cumbria Wildlife Trust whose Northern office is on land adjacent to our farm.

We have three main strands of delivery; primary school visits, alternative provision placements and care farmer placements and are certified by Social Farms & Gardens. We are a beef and sheep Organic and Pasture for Life certified Farm. We also have hens and geese and some horticultural activity. Our farm produce is sold direct to the customer.

Susan’s Farm is a registered charity converting from a CIC in 2019.   Before that our founder, Susan Aglionby ran educational activities on the farm over a period of more than 20 years. Over the last six years considerable effort has been devoted to professionalising the organisation and our delivery work and we are no ready for the next stage.

ROLE FOCUS: 

To support, manage and provide dynamic leadership to Susan’s Farm and its staff and services. Working with the Board of Trustees to ensure that Susan’s Farm meets its requirements, as a charity in delivering services, and to maintain its reputation as a national and local leader in working to provide services to its beneficiaries through the experience of a farm. About this job

Nearly all of the MS Society’s income comes from voluntary contributions which means an effective fundraising function is extremely important to ensure our vital work continues. The Income and Gift Aid Accountant is a critical role ensuring that information on our CRM is robust, that we are getting the best return from our fundraising investment and maximising our gift aid contributions.

It’s an exciting time to be joining the MS Society as we have recently switched to a new CRM system (Dynamics 365) and this role will initially focus on embedding this system.

Working with fundraising colleagues this role will look at the true cost, ROI and strategic value of our fundraising activities. Looking to obtain best value from the monies we invest in fundraising and ensuring efficient and effective fundraising processes.

Given the level of fundraised income the MS Society receives gift aid represents a significant income stream and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring claims are submitted and maximising the amount claimed.

About the role

The Finance Controller ensures the smooth running of the organisation’s financial operations - the “engine room” of finance. The role is responsible for compliance, technical accounting, statutory reporting, and the integrity of financial processes. By leading the finance team in delivering accurate month end close, reconciliations, payroll assurance, and audit readiness, the Finance Controller safeguards financial integrity and ensures the organisation meets all statutory, regulatory, and donor requirements.

Parkinson’s UK is looking for a motivated Finance professional to effectively partner with local communities, training treasurers and volunteers in best practices for financial governance and championing their interests within the organisation.

About the role

You’ll lead on reporting and management for all aspects of local community finances, ensuring compliance with HMRC, Audit, and Accounting regulations, while managing financial risks within the decentralised structure.

What you’ll do

• Lead, manage and develop a team who service the financial and banking needs for all local groups across the UK.

• Lead and deliver on the Local Groups annual statutory accounts process and consolidation. Be the key point of contact for the auditors.

• Champion local groups’ interests in strategic digital transformation projects and help implement change in the local network.

• Ensure best practice in financial reporting and internal control environment in line with external and statutory compliance

• Engage with local group treasurers and chairs to ensure that there is buy-in from the local groups on new processes and systems introduced

What you’ll bring

• Experience of managing and developing a team, with strong people management skills and ability to attract and retain talented people

• Experience of facilitating training for non-finance colleagues and volunteers

• Demonstrable working knowledge of finance systems and banking arrangements is essential

• Proven experience in leading a financial accounting function, ensuring processes are improved to meet the changing needs of the charity 

• Demonstrable working knowledge of financial risk management and financial control environments
