About the role

 The Professional Engagement and Education Team works across the UK, delivering education and training courses, attending health and care conferences, supporting service improvement projects and developing resources to help provide health and care professionals with the skills, knowledge and information they need to improve outcomes for people with arthritis.

As the Professional Engagement Officer for England you will work alongside the Professional Engagement Manager to build relationships with health and care professionals, providing them with information, resources and support to deliver the best care possible for people with arthritis. 

You will support the recruitment and facilitation of a network of volunteers and involved people who will contribute to quality improvement and education projects, as well as helping to shape the work of the team.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. About the role

Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. It will also support our growing participation and involvement activity which involves children, young people and young adults with experience of growing up in kinship care.

You will work closely with kinship carers and colleagues across the organisation to understand the key challenges and opportunities with embedding participatory methods, including co-production and co-design, which improve Kinship’s work – right from the design and delivery of our advice and support services through to influencing policy and campaigning for change.

With support from colleagues, you will act as the key cross-organisational adviser on participation and involvement practice, supporting and empowering colleagues to develop the skills and knowledge they need to embed a consistent approach to the involvement of kinship carers to best suit the needs of their roles.

As an enthusiastic and engaging facilitator, and an advocate for participatory methods, you will sensitively and skillfully work alongside kinship carers and colleagues to deliver high quality involvement activity which supports the charity’s mission and aims. You will also be an experienced project manager, ensuring all activity is appropriately monitored and evaluated, and aligned with best practice around equality and diversity, remuneration, safeguarding and governance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Refine and further develop an existing organisational participation and involvement framework which supports staff to meaningfully, safely and effectively involve kinship carers in their work.
• Design and implement a plan to embed effective practice based on the framework across Kinship, building a positive organisational culture and providing appropriate training, upskilling and support to colleagues to ensure consistency of delivery and experience for kinship carers.
• Lead a cross-organisational working group of people with relevant lived, learned and professional experiences to support and advise on embedding high-quality participation and involvement activity.
• Work closely with colleagues across the whole organisation to understand their bespoke needs, strengths and requirements around implementing participatory methods in their day-to-day work, and develop strategic relationships with colleagues in areas with more extensive existing participatory or adjacent activity (e.g. research, volunteering).
• Develop and recruit a network of people with lived experience interested in being more intensively involved in participatory activities, with a focus on increasing the diversity of people working with us.

Essential experience includes:

• Experience managing and leading the delivery of participation or involvement activity with people with lived experience of social issues.
• A commitment to meaningful participation and involvement activity, including a nuanced understanding of the individual and organisational opportunities and challenges associated with this.
• Knowledge of models, methodologies and approaches used in high quality participation and involvement activity, and strong skills in creative facilitation – particularly with groups.
• An understanding of kinship care and how this may impact on kinship carers’ involvement with Kinship and our activity.
• Experience of effective project management with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Main Purpose of the Role:

To be responsible for the implementation and day to day project management of the individual giving programme across both existing and new fundraising products, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, members, volunteers and internal teams across Mothers’ Union to ensure the success of the appeals. As part of a small team you will be working closely with and under the direction of the Head of Individual Giving.

Key Responsibilities:

• To project manage multiple appeals delivering accurate campaigns on time, on budget to a high standard, meeting agreed targets.
• Analyse and interpret direct marketing campaign results, and produce regular reports, drawing conclusions, completing campaign reviews and making recommendations to improve future activity such as targeting and testing suggestions to improve performance of the programme and feed into longer term strategic plans.
• Ensure all materials produced are accurate and compliant with relevant data protection and gift aid legislation (where applicable). Undertaking all activities in line with best practice standards and processes as set out by the IoF, Fundraising Regulator and any other bodies as prompted by the Head of Individual Giving.
• Write campaign briefs including campaign objectives, creative, digital, print and production briefs, feeding into decisions on creative approaches, copy and all technical aspects of the direct marketing programmes
• Write or amend existing copy and proof-read accurately. Critique, manage and evaluate work by external or internal agencies to a high standard and high level of accuracy
• Lead contact for our face to face fundraising activity, from briefing, monitoring and reconciliation to delivering training and fulfilling requests, including coordination of visits to Mother's Union projects
• Lead on any challenge events or wider individual DIY fundraising or organisational  income generating events as assigned, meeting agreed targets set by the Head of Individual Giving.
• Monitoring, managing and reporting of key KPIs including campaign income, spend and other performance metrics on a regular basis. Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, highlighting variances and updating fundraising team reports making sure information is accurate and reconciled where necessary.
• Designing and delivering targeted training programmes for groups of fundraisers or members on behalf of Mothers’ Union as well as providing effective one-to-one campaign support as required.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

About the Service

About the Role

Main part of the role is delivering STAR programme to mother and children in their respective groups as well as planning meaningful activities and trips during half term times. Role is delivered in person through co-location in all three Haringey safe accommodations. Mother’s programme is delivered twice per week during day time while children component of the programme is delivered weekly in the afternoons between 3:45pm-5:30pm in each house. This role provides holistic support through ongoing feedback collection and identifications of important themes and topic which are developed further to best support our families as well as developing meaningful partnerships with community networks.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Service Support

• Support the Operations Manager with managing film delivery to all our sites, including monitoring of KDMs and DCPs
• Support cinema sites by ensuring all our in-hospital marketing materials are up-to date and accurate, including:
  • Create monthly posters for all sites, and other ad-hoc posters
  • Create info cards about upcoming films
  • Update the film information on our Showtimes page of our website
  • Updating digital entrance screens
  • Ordering physical posters and standees from film distributors
  • Support on developing any new initiatives to promote our services in hospitals
• Deputising for the Operations Manager when required, including occasionally covering out-of-hours emergencies

Impact and Evaluation

• Support with the management and upkeep of our Impact data management system Smartsheets to ensure it is accurate and as up-to-date as possible. Specific tasks to include, but not limited to:
  • Check for data errors each morning and follow up accordingly to resolve any issues
  • Uploading Serennu Children’s Centre data
  • Uploading new nurse and volunteer data
  • Inputting film list and BBFC info up-to-date each month
  • Migrating other data as and when required
• Support with the collection, inputting, organising and analysis of service delivery questionnaires, Thank You feedback cards and other service evaluation and research projects
• Support the Head of Impact and Service Design with the collection and management of case studies

Event/Screening support, including Disney Partnership

• Support the co-ordination and management of special screenings, events and Disney MTM projects. Including planning, managing orders/deliveries, attending events and assisting with consent form collection
• Support with post-event tasks, such as accurate organisation and storage of photography/media, collecting and collating relevant feedback, and follow-up emails

• Operate projection equipment and run screenings (training will be provided), in case of emergencies, holiday cover, special events and supporter/fundraiser visits
• Brainstorming with the team about any potential future ‘Beyond the Big Screen’ and Disney ‘Moment that Matter’ ideas and initiatives

Finance support

• Checking, processing and preparing payment of nurses’ invoices
• Checking and processing all other supplier invoices
• Support Head of Finance with income recording and analysis
• Preparation of monthly credit card and other expenditure analysis
• Banking of cheques/cash
• Inputting of data into accounting system (currently Quickbooks)

Administration and other duties

• Ensure patient data, and any other relevant data, is captured accurately on Donorfy/CRM system
• Communicate effectively with all team members and provide relevant and required information in a timely fashion
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Operations Manager, Head of Finance, Head of Impact and Service Design

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to build on our programme of strategic engagement with our key audiences, in order to build our presence, influence and networks in a wide range of UK sectors and topical issues. This includes leading the design and delivery of some of our focused programmes in which we award Fellowships and supporting the Fellows awarded into these programmes to help them increase their UK impact once they’ve done their overseas learning. This role is responsible for delivering all engagement activity across our Arts and culture, Community and citizenship, Environment and resources and Governance and public provision universal themes.  

Key responsibilities:

Programme Development and Delivery

• With oversight from the Engagement Director, and working with members of the Advisory Council to develop the focus and goals of a three-year Fellowship programme within our Governance and Public Provision universal theme through a process of desk-based research and consultation workshops
• Working with the Head of Comms to design and plan the launch of the new programme to applicants
• Working with the Head of Fellowship to design a support package for applicants into the programme
• With oversight from the Engagement Director, creating and facilitating a Working Group of Fellows, partners and Council members to support the cohort of Fellows awarded within this programme. And working with the other Research and Engagement Manager to develop and enhance our approach to stewarding these Working Groups including ones already in place for our other programmes.

• Supporting the Engagement Director in the recruitment and stewardship of Knowledge Partners for this programme and other programmes under your four thematic sectors

• Working with members of our Advisory Council to review our two environment related programmes with a view to revising them or developing them further.

 Sector Relations & Networking

Creation of Engagement Content

Introduction

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis (CF). We fund vital research, improve care, speak out and race towards effective treatments for all. We won’t stop until everyone with cystic fibrosis can live without limits.  CF is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system.  It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK.

In recent years, improvements in the treatments for CF have transformed the symptoms and quality of life experienced by many, but not all of the community.  The enormous leap forward that has been made is both wonderful and challenging and brings new support needs.

With better health, more people with CF now want to plan careers, but need to balance this with management of their condition.  Others still need support with barriers to work or help to navigate their rights at work when they need to focus on their health.  This led us to create Work Forwards, a dedicated programme of career, work and employment support for the CF community.

Project Brief

We are now looking to work with a freelance digital creative producer/editor to deliver some of the project’s key resources.

Working closely with Cystic Fibrosis Trust throughout, the freelancer will provide creative input to identify the most engaging way to execute these resources within the available budget, and will carry out the design and delivery, giving us a set of impactful resources to support people with CF in work and employment.

These resources represent the culmination of work done over the course of the Work Forwards programme so far, and need to be delivered in mid-August 2025 ahead of a major report to our funder, the National Lottery Community Fund, in September 2025.

Key Deliverables

· 6 x 30-90 second videos to explain CF related employment rights to young people affected by CF (scripts and voice-overs are already arranged)

· An engaging, informative resource to help employers understand cystic fibrosis (information content already available, but we would like the freelancer to offer creative input into how this is presented).

Resources must be high quality, accessible and delivered in line with our brand guidelines.

Indicative Budget

There is budget available to deliver this project and this is in the region of £2,500 - £6,000. This must cover all costs to complete this work, including consultant fees, and any materials and resources needed to undertake the project and deliver these resources.

It is accepted that it may be the responsibility of some other providers (including ourselves) to collect and provide some of the information and content required.

Given the available budget, we do not expect this role to involve filming, but we are looking for the freelancer to bring their creative ideas on how we can amplify the project and make the content accessible and engaging.

· Be a proactive and creative digital storyteller with a strong track record in video editing and producing content for social media

· Have experience in managing the creation of multimedia content / motion design

Role:

The Royal Foundation is recruiting a Research and Impact Manager for the Homewards programme, which seeks to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness and inspire others to replicate effective practice.

The successful candidate will be a champion for evidence-led decision making, committed to generating robust research and evaluation and ensuring the programme is grounded in evidence. This role will ensure they generate high quality, compelling evidence about the effectiveness of interventions tested through the programme and facilitate a culture of learning to improve delivery and maximise impact.

This new role will sit within The Royal Foundation’s in-house Research & Impact Team, which provides research and evaluation expertise and delivers key insights across our programmes of work, to help design and deliver programmes and understand impact. This role is central to their effort to make The Royal Foundation evidence-led and cutting edge, helping maximise impact across the range of issues they support.

Core Responsibilities:

• Scope, commission, and manage evaluation projects to generate actionable evidence for commissioning and service delivery, ensuring effective supplier, project management, and contractor relationships
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery of high-quality evaluations, meeting objectives and adhering to policies
• Collate evaluation and programme data for organization-level impact reports
• Analyse research data and conduct desk research to support the Homewards programme team in scoping future activities
• Provide day-to-day support to the Senior Research and Impact Manager in overseeing research and evaluation across the Homewards programme
• Disseminate evidence effectively through various channels and support the interpretation and application of learnings to a wide range of stakeholders
• Provide updates for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board and Homewards partners
• Advise programme partners on research and evaluation design and delivery for action plans
• Identify and mitigate risks through strong project management
• Ensure compliance with Market Research Society (MRS) standards and GDPR for data handling
• Support the Research and Impact team in developing and delivering the research strategy
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate:

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing research and evaluation projects
• Strong understanding of evaluation techniques, including expertise in commissioning various evaluation approaches, including process, quantitative impact, and theory-based evaluations
• Experience in developing procurement materials and briefing external suppliers, managing research commissions, and ensuring quality and compliance with financial and contractual requirements
• Proven ability to draft research materials, analyse data, and produce high-quality outputs (quantitative and qualitative)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from a range of sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled in communicating research findings to both internal teams and external audiences, including non-researchers
• Able to work independently and prioritise own tasks and time, has an excellent eye for detail, and can work collaboratively and effectively with others
• Optimistic and energetic outlook, keen to maximise the positive change that the Homewards programme can deliver
• Relationship builder. Adaptable and has a flexible approach to plans, able to respond confidently and positively to changing scenarios, seize opportunities and solve problems.
