The Senior Events and Programme Coordinator (Leadership) has key responsibility for supporting our Leadership Programmes working alongside the Events and Membership Manager and the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to ensure work is covered by the wider team and to act as a central point of contact for partners and clients.

The Programme, Network and Event Coordination Team is a key core team led by our Events and Membership Manager, responsible for ensuring that professional programmes, network and event support is provided to the QICN’s core programmes of work and the nurses in the team that lead them.

The role will also include several additional co-ordinator duties as part of the wider team, which is expected to work flexibly to cover the requirements of the organisation.

The post holder will require the ability to work in a fast-paced response environment with a high level of efficiency and the ability to take initiative. Essential is the ability to manage, balance and prioritise several one-off tasks, while ensuring critical routine tasks still take place. While not a key prerequisite for the role, project management would be a skill that would be expected to be developed.

Responsibilities

· Acting as the main point of contact and knowledge base for the Leadership Programme speakers, clients, partners and participants on the programme.

· Acting as a key point of contact for business development and exploring alongside the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) the pipeline for new partners and funding opportunities

· Ensuring with the Events and Membership Manager coverage of the team for the setting up workshops and programmes and ensuring the underpinning administration and coordination is in place.

· Working with the Director of Nursing Programmes (Leadership and Standards) to track key deliverables within a programme and ensuring the maintenance of records.

· Ensuring the issuing of invoices and onboarding of participants where appropriate

· Ensuring appropriate updating of the CRM and events management software and liaising with the communications team.

· To support the development of a Leadership Programme alumni network and build that into a self-organising community with the wider QICN team.

· Overseeing the coordination and administration of several QICN professional networks.

· Supporting the Network Lead with outreach to potential network members.

· Preparation of online network meetings (creating Zoom events, setting online registration pages, sending out joining instructions, overseeing attendance list, preparation of materials, liaising with attendees and speakers, assistance on the day).

Person Specification

· Minimum of four years’ experience of working in a coordination, support or administrative environment

· Experience of working in a delivery environment supporting course delivery and learning objective

· High level of digital literacy (MS Office, MailChimp, Eventbrite, Zoom)

· Experience of using CRM packages to manage, distribute, and update work

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. General Overview of Role

The post-holder will be responsible for writing bid applications within Combat Stress. This will include:

• Support the development and delivery of Combat Stress's bid writing under the leadership of the Director of Fundraising (DoF) and Head of Trusts and Foundations (HTF), in order to support our role as a specialist UK-wide provider of mental health services to veterans with complex mental health needs.
• With guidance and support from DoF and HoTF contribute to the various stages of a bid or tender process.
• Support the team in managing service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with the business development framework and governance processes - with support from DoF and HoTF.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Complete bid writing in support of the business development agenda of Combat Stress, working with all departments in promoting our services to attract new business and supporting cost-effective service delivery.
• Contribute to our revenue generation agenda by owning and contributing to bid documents such as mobilisation or communication plans.
• Support the assessment of the healthcare market within which we operate, to ensure we are best placed to achieve growth and have the appropriate strategies to mitigate risks

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Education, Training and Employment (ETE) programme. You’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that support our community’s social, cultural and economic integration in the UK.

The ETE programme offers tailored English classes, one-to-one coaching, employability workshops, vocational training and mentoring. It also includes oversight of IRMO’s volunteer scheme, which is an integral part of service delivery and offers meaningful roles for volunteers across the programme. Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Direct Marketing Manager’ to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.

The Direct Marketing Manager has operational and strategic responsibility in developing and implementing the Islamic Relief UK direct marketing programme. This includes the following key direct marketing channels: Email, SMS, Direct Mail, OOH and DRTV. The postholder will ensure the delivery of cross-channel, high profile and impactful marketing campaigns that drive action and improve supporter retention.

Knowledge, skills and attributes required:

• Educated to Degree level, or equivalent standard
• Professional qualification in Marketing
• Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to non-technical management and internal stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Commercially aware with good understanding of budget management and ROI
• An aptitude to plan annually, multiple campaigns and activities 
• An understanding of marketing and other current marketing trends
• An ability to manage multiple projects
• An understanding of marketing strategy, marketing techniques, and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques

• Raising funds/generating profit across all direct marketing channels
• Demonstrable experience of using email marketing platforms to develop customer journeys, raise funds and drive engagement with customers/donors
• Third sector experience, specifically within a marketing led role
• Experience of influencing and managing a wide range of stakeholders in a complex organisation
• Practical experience of successfully managing marketing budgets, evaluation and monitoring systems
• Proven experience in planning and project management, with the skills to engage colleagues and support at all levels
• Experience of building, developing and managing strategic partnerships with business suppliers (including creative and buying agencies), ensuring development of clear briefs, value-for-money, achievement of results, compliance and commitment to an organisations values and goals

How you will make a difference

We are looking for an experienced Philanthropy and Trust and Foundations fundraiser to join our passionate team. This exciting maternity cover role will oversee Trusts & Grants, Philanthropy and Prospect Research during a pivotal time of growth, ensuring each area continues to develop, scale and innovate to achieve lasting results in support of our ambitious 5-year fundraising strategy. 

The successful post-holder will be a proactive charity professional who can effectively nurture the Trusts & Grants team, supporting them to reach in-year and future targets and facilitating the continued growth of this area. The role will also comprise developing the Philanthropy stream, bringing exemplary relationship management and stewardship strategies to continue establishing the programme for long-term success. The post-holder will manage their own high-value portfolio of prospects across both areas in addition to supporting the work of their team. Working across the high-value function, Prospect Research also sits under this position, with a remit to support and facilitate collaboration and maximising all opportunities between Trusts, Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships.

As a senior leader you will take an active role in representing Philanthropy and Trusts externally and internally. You will work with stakeholders across the charities to understand and translate charitable initiatives into dynamic funding propositions, and build deep relationships with trusts, foundations and individual donors.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role builds on the work of our Feminist Green New Deal  project. The Feminist Green New Deal puts the needs and priorities of women, racialised and marginalised groups at the heart of all climate policy and action and advocates for a care-led green recovery from our multiple crises of climate breakdown and inequality. The role will continue to develop our Feminist Green New Deal work engaging new audiences, stakeholders and writing new policy papers. 

As a Feminist Climate Justice Policy Campaigner you will make connections with policy makers, government departments, NGOs and influencers, bringing an intersectional feminist lens to these spaces. You will need to keep up to speed with UK climate policies and how these impact women. 

Wen works at the grassroots and policy level ensuring that grassroots perspectives are part of and shape climate policy making so a key part of the role will be linking these two levels.  You will work closely with our Climate Sisters  programme and the Tower Hamlets Food Partnership which inform our Feminist Green New Deal policy asks and campaigns, advocating for inclusive climate policy rooted in the priorities of women,  particularly racialised and marginalised groups.  We are looking to recruit a policy campaigner with in-depth  knowledge of the policy systems and strategic thinking about how to advocate for feminist climate justice at local, regional and national level in the UK working in collaboration with others.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities:

• Bring an intersectional feminist climate justice lens to policy makers and debates with a focus on climate, health, food justice and environmental policies

• Work collaboratively with Wen’s Climate Sisters team to make strong connections between the grassroots and policy, drafting and devising policy responses to influence government climate policy

• Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with MPs, government departments, All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs), Ministers, Select Committees and key organisations in this field

• Submit evidence to Select Committee reports, inquiries and input into draft bills

• Actively engage with civil society movements around climate justice and policy

• Produce a variety of resources on the issues such as policy briefings, blogs, social media posts and talks

• Campaign on relevant policy debates on social media and other media working with the Wen comms team and influencers to communicate the issues to a wide range of audiences

• Identify, monitor, and evaluate policy issues appropriate to Wen 

• Travel and attend related policy work meetings, events and workshops as agreed

Home-Start is a federated charity consisting of a central national office – Home-Start UK - and over 170 geographically dispersed local Home-Start organisations, all working together under the same identity.
