PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- Manage and grow a transformational partnership between Allen & Overy Shearman (A&OS) and United for Global Mental Health (UnitedGMH), ensuring it delivers strategic value, visibility, and impact.
- Act aUnitedGMH’s lead within A&OS, and A&OS’s liaison within UnitedGMH to foster collaboration, alignment, and shared purpose across both organisations.
- Leverage A&OS’s global network, expertise, and community to advance UnitedGMH’s mission, amplify rights-based mental health advocacy, and drive strategic engagement to support fundraising.
ENGAGEMENT:
- Collaborate with partners and senior colleagues to design innovative campaigns and activities that drive fundraising engagement and maximise strategic value for UnitedGMH.
- Coordinate across the fundraising team to ensure alignment, foster collaboration, and unlock shared opportunities.
- Partner with the Director of Fundraising to develop annual plans and long-term strategies, integrating budget planning and impact forecasting.
DELIVERY:

Provide timely and tailored support to A&OS, including:
- Responding to queries
- Delivering marketing assets and drafting communications
- Creating content and campaign plans in collaboration with UnitedGMH’s communications team
- Compile regular updates to inspire A&OS staff and Ambassadors, in collaboration with their Marketing & Communications team.Liaise with the Global Mental Health Action Network team to share project updates and ensure programme delivery.

About Us:
The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is a membership organisation dedicated to promoting and enhancing the science and practice of infection prevention and control (IPC) within all health and care settings. With a commitment to working collaboratively to prevent infection, the IPS is a supportive network for IPC practitioners, and delivers education and training within the IPC field. With 2,400 members across the UK and internationally, the IPS plays an important role in supporting and developing IPC professionals and advancing knowledge and best practices to safeguard public health.
Last year the IPS launched its new strategy: Working together to prevent infection. In order to deliver this strategy, in early 2024 the Board of Trustees took the decision to recruit the Society’s first staff team, moving the organisation from a model that had been led by volunteers and operationally managed with an association management organisation. The intention is this decision will transform the Society, taking it to the next phase in its evolution, and furthering our goals of supporting our members, improving IPC practice, ensure equity of access and support for a diverse and multidisciplinary workforce, and influencing and shaping IPC education and policy.

Position Overview:
Currently, the IPS events and education portfolio includes:

Annual Conference which attracts over 700 attendees, 80 exhibitors/sponsors. The programme is developed and delivered by our Scientific Programme Committee, and the event is operationally managed and delivered by an external Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

Up 20 one/two day in person/hybrid events currently developed and delivered by our volunteers, our corporate partners or a PCO.

Online resources – developed and delivered by our Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC), Branches and Special Interest Groups.
The Annual Conference will continue to be managed by a PCO and the organisation of our committees smaller annual conferences will be supported by our own team.
We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Education and Events Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs and events aimed at advancing the understanding and practice of infection prevention and control.
This will be an exciting and challenging role where Education and Events Executive will work with the Education and Events Manager to deliver up to 20 one-day events per year, either as in person, virtual or hybrid events.
Key Responsibilities:
Educational Programme Development:

Working with the Education and Events Manager, assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive educational programme that aligns with IPS objectives and serves the needs of our members.

What you’ll do
ShareAction’s Banking Standards team works towards holding financial institutions accountable for their impact on climate change. We have a history of campaigning on key aspects of banks’ climate strategies – such as their emission reduction targets or fossil fuel policies – and we are gradually expanding our work to include other sustainability themes and banking regulation. We have achieved significant wins, such as contributing to HSBC becoming the world’s largest bank to cease financing for new oil and gas fields, Barclays dramatically reducing its oil sands financing, and mobilising investors to call on Societe Generale to set a renewable energy target.
The team is structured around two main pillars: our campaigning and our research pillar. The research pillar ensures that the team’s campaigning and advocacy work is based on sound analysis and facts. The Senior Research Manager oversees the research pillar, currently composed of three more junior researchers. The Senior Research Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a research strategy that underpins campaign needs for analysis and insight in line with campaign timelines and available resources. You will oversee and contribute to the delivery of high-quality research outputs, including thematic reports, investor briefings, and surveys of Europe’s largest banks, and ensure that they are underpinned by clear and robust research methodologies. Alongside the Head of Banking Programme and the Senior Campaign Manager, you’ll act as an ambassador for the team in external forums, the media, and when meeting with and presenting to external stakeholders, including banks, civil society organisations, and investors.

We're recruiting an inspiring, senior fundraising professional to join the Francis Crick Institute, Cancer Research UK's flagship discovery research institute in London, as a Philanthropy Campaign and Operations Lead.

Working in partnership with Cancer Research UK, and building on the success of the More Research, Less Cancer campaign, the Crick is now developing a dedicated Crick philanthropy campaign to take things to the next level. We're hiring a Campaign and Operations Lead to drive this forward-leading the campaign strategy, planning, and operations for the growing Crick philanthropy programme.
You'll head up a small operational and campaign team and work cross-functionally with Crick and CRUK colleagues to shape and deliver the campaign from quiet phase to pre-launch, launch and beyond, which will have long-term impact. Your work will help ensure that we help change lives for the better, delivering the research that means we will overcome cancer and many other diseases. It is a unique time to join the Crick. What will I be doing?
Lead the development and implementation of the Crick specific philanthropy campaign, working with the Associate Director to develop the overarching campaign strategy, scope, and goals.
Partner with senior leadership as well as scientists, philanthropy and operational colleagues to develop and implement strategies for the campaign; guide discussions with senior leadership on campaign strategy and develop a multi-year campaign plan.
Inspire and engage the multiple stakeholders of the Campaign, ensuring that everyone involved is engaged, has a clear understanding of what is expected of them, particularly working in partnership with colleagues in philanthropy, communications, scientific leadership and CRUK.
Develop an inspiring campaign identity and case for support, and donor centric propositions and gift opportunities, aligned with institutional priorities, supported by insight from a feasibility study.
Oversee the operations of the Crick philanthropy programme and campaign, working with CRUK colleagues to monitor effectiveness and implement improvements as needed. Collaborate with CRUK Insight and Reporting team to utilise systems and data to inform decision making, and ensure compliance and performance measurement.
Lead a team of professionals to ensure high-quality administration, strategic coordination and management of campaign and operational activities at all levels including managing and reporting philanthropic income.
Collaborate with the CRUK Philanthropy team to develop the senior volunteer strategy and support the Associate Director to deliver this through the Development Committee and Board.
With the Associate Director, lead the management and delivery of governance requirements within the Crick to include Crick Fundraising Committee, Science Management Committee and Executive Committee.
What are you looking for?
Experience of leading strategic fundraising or engagement campaigns in complex, high-performing environments and a sophisticated understanding of philanthropy and the principles of major gift fundraising.
Extensive experience in project management and/or fundraising operations management in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
Significant experience leading and motivating teams to deliver to business objectives in an organisation of relevant scale and complexity.
Excellent project management and organisation skills, with the ability to deliver to a high standard consistently with competing and demanding deadlines.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and to navigate new territory, setting a clear path and establishing new protocols; with demonstrated analytical skills and ability to problem solve.
Strategic mindset with proven experience of developing and implementing strategies and working closely and influencing others
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work with, and communicate effectively and professionally with, a wide range of individuals from internal colleagues, institutional leaders, scientists, and external collaborators, stakeholders, donors and senior volunteers.
