I am supporting a values-led charity to recruit an experienced interim HR Business Partner with a strong focus on Employee Relations.

This role will initially concentrate on managing complex ER casework and strengthening ER practice across the organisation. After the first six months, it will evolve into a broader HR Business Partner role, supporting strategic people initiatives.

The role

You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, providing pragmatic, legally sound guidance on employee relations matters. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing complex ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance, absence and conduct

• Leading and overseeing investigations, ensuring fairness and legal compliance

• Coaching managers to build confidence and capability in people management

• Overseeing ER casework delivered by an outsourced HR provider

• Supporting HR projects and organisational change initiatives, including restructures, TUPE and workforce planning

• Deputising for senior People & Culture leadership when required

About you

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll work directly with children, young people and families who have experienced trauma, delivering high-quality psychological interventions as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. You’ll balance clinical work with supervision, collaboration and contributing to service development, helping ensure our work is effective, evidence-based and centred on the needs of those we support.

• Deliver trauma-informed clinical interventions (1:1, family and group work)
• Carry out assessments and develop agreed treatment plans
• Work closely with colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Collect and use outcomes data to inform and improve practice
• Supervise and support trainees and contribute to skill development
• Liaise with external professionals and agencies around the child or family
• Maintain high standards of clinical recording, safeguarding and professional practice

What you’ll bring

You’ll be a confident, compassionate clinician who enjoys working with complexity and values working collaboratively with others. You’ll bring strong trauma-informed experience, a commitment to inclusive practice, and the ability to balance high-quality clinical work with reflection, supervision and service development.

• A recognised clinical qualification with current professional registration (e.g. HCPC, UKCP, NMC, ACP or BACP)
• Experience delivering therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families affected by trauma
• Training in evidence-based approaches such as TF-CBT, MBT-CYP or parenting interventions
• Experience working within multidisciplinary and multi-agency systems
• Confidence in assessment, formulation and outcome-focused practice
• Experience of supervising or supporting trainees (or readiness to do so)
• A clear commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of clinical work

Key details

Hours: Part-time (22 Hours per week) Including Wednesday. Usual working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00. 

Salary: £50,835 FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme 

Location: Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): Clinical staff need to offer clinical sessions onsite at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH) for 60% ofworking hours.

This role develops and implements organisational data strategies and frameworks for measuring the impact and performance of the MS Society’s work, aligned to organisational strategy, covering data collection, analysis, and reporting, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of impact and performance evidence and insights.

Experience of stakeholder management both internal and external; and designing and delivering complex analysis and evaluations is required.

With one direct report, we require a seasoned manager / lead and the person applying should also have proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for advanced data analysis and modelling (e.g. logic models, theory of change and other evaluation models), and experience in using survey tools and software for data collection and analysis.

Our office is based in Manchester and we offer hybrid working for those able to travel there. However, this role is open UK-wide and can be worked remotely, with regular travel across England and Wales required.

Position

The MSF UK Digital Team is made up of 10 specialist staff who act as an internal agency and provide expertise, project management, training and support to all other departments. We are part of a global network of Digital specialists within MSF which shares knowledge, expertise and best practice, coordinated by the International Digital Engagement Unit based in the International Office in Geneva. 

The International Legal Department (ILD) of MSF is currently the only intersectional department of MSF. Primarily dedicated to support MSF operations, the ILD rationalises legal support and provides high-level legal advice to all MSF entities; its field of expertise is varied, including international humanitarian law (IHL), medico-legal issues, medical research, labour law, commercial and administrative law, trademarks and international governance. The ILD is divided in six units specialised in different areas of law. The ILD Unit 1 aims to provide legal support on IHL and Protection of humanitarian space. 

Hours: 18.75 hours per week, 2.5 days a week (Part-Time)

Job Purpose:

As the Digital Publications Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the digital publication of the updated Practical Guide to Humanitarian Law, written by Françoise Bouchet-Saulnier and available on the website in four languages. This includes managing editorial workflows, coordinating with author and translators, and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of content. The position ensures the Guide is produced to a high standard and effectively disseminated to its target audience. 

The role is responsible for ensuring the effective dissemination and understanding of the organisation’s handbook by leading communications around updates and coordinating the development and facilitation of training sessions. This includes managing the publication of content on the organisation’s website in relevant languages and promoting updates through a range of channels such as webinars, discussions, social media and newsletters.

You’ll be an energetic person who thrives on making new connections and can inspire others to take action. As an experienced facilitator you will be confident facilitating groups and at ease with designing and adapting formal and informal training sessions appropriate to the context.

Your experience MUST include facilitating groups who don’t already hold a common and agreed set of values. So while academic or activist settings may form a significant part of your experience, it is essential to have worked in a mixed community or neighbourhood setting, where you regularly encountered and brought together a range of contrasting viewpoints, which included views substantially different to your own.

A knowledge of community organising methodology (see for example Act Build Change or Citizen’s UK) is useful, but there may also be other approaches or experiences that you could draw on for this role. We support, advocate and campaign for dementia carers so that no-one feels isolated, invisible or alone.

Key responsibilities of the role

• Be the first point of contact for enquiries, managing incoming phone calls and generic inboxes for policy and campaigns, ensuring that enquiries are escalated efficiently and calls transferred to appropriate DCC team members.
• Record carer details and interactions on the database.
• Support the recruitment and ongoing management of the dementia carer community, including working across DCC teams to facilitate the promotion and ongoing coordination of a range of engagement opportunities.

This is an exciting role leading our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The development and implementation of a UK-wide cross-government child poverty strategy means this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to influence policy makers to adopt our evidence-based policy solutions to child poverty.

We are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing evidence-based policy positions to support CPAG’s influencing and campaigns work. You will have knowledge of political processes and how external organisations can effect change. You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues. You will have experience of managing a small team and working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions with colleagues across the organisation, as well as externally.

The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, gathering and sharing analysis and expertise with the DWP as part of their review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of forthcoming changes to disability benefits.
