Location: Home based - within a commutable distance of London as there will be a requirement for fortnightly travel to the Chelsea & Westminster Clinic and with additional occasional travel across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Shine’s Health Team
Shine’s Health Team provides condition-specific health advice and support to people of all ages with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, NPH or IIH, promoting good self-management and enabling our members to live in optimum health. The Team also aims to reduce the numbers of pregnancies affected by spina bifida and anencephaly through education around supplementation and fortification with folic acid, and other measures.
Purpose of Job
The Shine Nurse Specialist will deliver services and create resources to improve the health of Shine’s members, by informing members, their carers and professionals
Principal Duties

Heart Research UK is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to stopping people dying from heart diseases. The Research team advances the treatment, prevention and cure of heart diseases through the medical research projects we fund. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) Community Outreach Coordinator who will be responsible for growing the PPI activities of the charity at the community level.
Be part of an energetic and vibrant team who are driven by the desire to improve the lives of people living with heart disease, until no more deaths from heart diseases. Situated within the charity’s Research Team, you will support the delivery of our research strategy, building trust and confidence in heart research and the wider work of Heart Research UK among patients and their families.
You will work closely with the PPI Officer to embed meaningful involvement where people affected by heart diseases shape our work and inform our decision-making – putting the patients and public voice at the heart of what we do.
In this role you will develop partnerships to help Heart Research UK, and researchers listen to the patient voice – identifying, establishing, and cultivating cooperative relationships with community-based programs, organisations, and leaders, with a special focus on historically underrepresented stakeholders (including communities of colour and faith-based communities).
Reporting to the Patient and Public Involvement Officer you will encourage people affected by heart diseases to join our Patient and Public Network, deliver clear messaging and demonstrate the benefits of involvement. You will drive and promote innovative ways of involving and hearing from patients, carers, and the public, challenging traditional methods, particularly ensuring growing involvement from currently underrepresented and underserved groups and communities to enhance our engagement, understanding, and cohesion with people from all backgrounds affected by heart diseases.
This role will support the delivery of our growing portfolio of PPI activities which enables us to embed the patient and public voice at all stages of our work. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to seeking and using the views of the public to shape and influence research and the work of the charity.
A key target of this important project is to work collaboratively to ensure that our patient and public involvement activities are increasingly accessible and relevant to any person who wishes to join.

About the role
Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers, and contribute to a sector leading programme, we’re looking for a community fundraising executive to join the London, South and Wales team.
In this busy and exciting supporter-facing role, you’ll provide stewardship to our brilliant fundraisers organising events from bake sales and balls to tractor runs and sponsored walks. And, alongside the other community fundraiser executives, you’ll be the first point of contact for supporters, playing a key role in the smooth day to day running of the programme.
Through excellent relationship management, you’ll inspire our supporters to see through their fundraising plans, raise as much as possible and continue to support the charity in a way that’s right for them.

JOB PURPOSE
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised operations professional to play a key role in strengthening the systems, processes and projects that will underpin our 10-year ambition. The Fundraising Operations Officer will help drive improvements in how the Fundraising team manages data, reporting and income tracking. The role supports the smooth running of Fundraising operations by improving and maintaining systems, processes and administrative functions, ensuring the global team runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a newly established role that will offer hands-on experience in project coordination, risk escalation and CRM management, and will support you to develop technical and strategic skills in an international fundraising environment. Working closely with teams across Lumos, you’ll be part of an ambitious, values-led organisation where collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do.
KEY OBJECTIVES
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day Fundraising operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. GDPR and IATI, across all relevant jurisdictions
- When needed, coordinate process improvement initiatives that support Fundraising delivery and create efficiencies, ensuring they work alongside those already used within Lumos
- Manage back-office functions for recruitment, inductions of new starters in the Fundraising team, and management of contractors and other suppliers as appropriate
- Provide operational support for events, including managing guest lists, monitoring expenditure, helping with venue logistics and on-the-day activities
- Help maintain and improve internal systems and team documentation (e.g., on SharePoint)
- Support the drafting of Fundraising policies, procedures and systems used by the organisation
- Maintain records of Gift Aid declarations and support the quarterly claims process
Salesforce Administration
- Act as our day-to-day administrator for our Salesforce database
- Manage the process of recording and reporting on information from Salesforce, maintaining accurate donor and income data, and ensuring up-to-date and consistent record keeping
- Take the lead on running selections and reports to support fundraising activity
- As needed, provide basic training and guidance about Salesforce for the team
- Work with the Finance team to reconcile donations recorded on Salesforce with their records
Information Management
- Support the Director of Fundraising with financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to inform key strategic decisions.
- Deliver accurate and timely income and activity reporting to key stakeholders, including the Chief Executive, Trustees and the Fundraising Committee and to share with external agencies such as the Fundraising Regulator.
- Maintain the risk register, ensuring it reflects activity and can be used as a tool by the Director of Fundraising and Chief Executive
Fundraising Support
- Provide administrative and coordination support for fundraising campaigns, appeals and events
- Assist with donor stewardship, including thank-you letters and donor communications
- Respond to enquiries via the Fundraising inbox, social media or post
- Support scheduling and coordination of Fundraising meetings and cross-team projects
- Collaborate across the organisation to ensure fundraising needs are integrated and aligned

Regional Fundraising Manager (North Wales Region)/ Rheolwr Codi Arian Rhanbarthol (Rhanbarth Gogledd Cymru)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Wales’ leading cancer charity as a Fundraiser. You’ll manage raising funds across an already established North Wales region with loads of scope to generate more income and grow connections.
You’ll be joining an experienced Wales fundraising team who generate over £2.8million of annual income. Your fundraising impact is seen in people affected by cancer through the services we run, the difference to lives we make and the campaigns that make meaningful change.
You’ll be managing and building relationships across North Wales with our supporters, Friends of Tenovus groups and establishing new fundraising connections and work with teams of volunteers. You can expect to manage events such as our annual Lovelight concerts, Singathons and Breast Cancer Awareness Month to name just a few.
Your region is already warm with strong supporter connections and exciting development opportunities to grow across the region in places like Wrexham, Bangor, Llandudno, Anglesey, Mold to Barmouth and Bala.
Whilst it’d be great if you’ve done Third Sector Fundraising it isn’t a must have to be considered. Job Purpose:
The main purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate communications activities across the Society’s policy and external affairs activities, ensuring that our work is communicated strategically and visible to appropriate audiences.
Key responsibilities:
Understanding opportunities and the changing external environment
- Develop our understanding of the preferences and needs of our key internal and external audiences to better align our policy and external affairs communications to those preferences and needs.

Working for the RSS
Pension and benefits
Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). A training budget, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and employee assistance programme are also available.
Location
The RSS office is in central London. We offer flexible working arrangements, and this is a hybrid role with a minimum two days a week working in the office. In person attendance for certain meeting is required, including all-staff / team meetings and governance / committee meetings that take place in person. Limited travel within the UK and internationally may be required.
Working hours

Holidays

Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the HR Manager – a new post - will be the principal HR point of contact and lead on the full breadth of day-to-day HR matters. Job Purpose
To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions. You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users. The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital.
Key Tasks
- Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients. This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate.
- Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
- Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
- Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
- Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
- Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
- Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).
- Coordinate and monitor the caseload of referrals allocated to team members to ensure a fair and manageable distribution of work.
- Rota planning to ensure staff flexibility and availability, enabling planned rosters that best suit both hospital and patient needs.
- Develop your team which includes; supervision, appraisal, planning of continued professional development opportunities and training needs.
- Conduct regular management audits to ensure a consistent way of working and identify development and training needs in the team or individual.
- Develop and deliver a flexible service that can respond to peaks and troughs in demand.
- Ensure the service is meeting key performance indicators, and identify any concerns e.g. demand for the service exceeding the levels in the contract and taking proactive action to address this.
- Monitor performance of the services against KPIs and produce reports to demonstrate performance.
- Deliver front-line services when needed, e.g. sickness or staff shortages. This is by exception rather than you regularly doing support work.
- Manage the budget, sign-off expenses, and ensure the project is delivered to budget, liaising with the Finance Department as necessary.
- Support the directorate with generating funding e.g. being actively involved in consultation of possible projects, providing activity data, opportunity spotting, and/or supporting the production of tenders.
- On a rota basis, provide weekend on call cover for the services you manage, and other hospital settle services provided by AUKEL.
Administration
- Lead on contract reporting, this includes quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports as necessary.
- Carry out annual customer service surveys.
- Enable the impact of the service to be assessed and inform the improvement of other local services by keeping electronic records of all referrals and interventions, and producing reports on activity and outcomes, in accordance with KPIs.
- Meet and produce reports as required by the Head of Service.
- Ensure patient records are regularly updated through AUKEL database, and support staff to complete their administration via training etc.
- Work with the Communications team and the Head of Service, market and promote the service.
- Build and circulate a resource pack for the wider AUKEL team to generate referrals between services delivered by the charity.
Quality
- Be familiar with and implement AUKEL policies and procedures.
- Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission principles.
- Ensure a cycle of continuous improvement by taking a “lessons learnt” review approach.

The Division oversees a wide programme of events that seek to expand the Imperial’s reach, strengthen and enlarge our supporter base, increase philanthropic support and engage alumni, friends and other stakeholders in the life of the College. In addition to supporting College-wide fundraising objectives, the post will support the Business School to deliver their mission to provide the highest quality teaching, learning and research environment.
What you would be doing:
This career opportunity promises to be varied and will utilise your experience gained in roles such as a Development Manager, Major Gifts Officer, Development Officer, Fundraising Specialist or similar.
Key duties will include:
• Managing high priority donor and prospective donor relationships and strategic projects, with the aim of soliciting major gifts (£50k+) in support of the Business School, as well as the wider College’s fundraising objectives.
• Developing and delivering on key areas of major gifts fundraising strategy.
• Being a trusted advisor both within and outside the Advancement Division for identifying innovative ways to capitalise on fundraising opportunities.
This career opportunity will suit an individual with drive and a keen interest in higher education and the fundraising space.
What we are looking for:
• Educated to graduate level of equivalent.
• Evidence of success as a professional fundraiser in personally securing major gifts (£50k plus), preferably at the six-figure level.
• Persuasive and compelling approach to asking for donations face to face and in writing effective proposals and applications for funding within a not-for-profit setting (preferably higher education).
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy and thoughtfulness when dealing with sensitive matters.
• A knowledge of fundraising best practice in the higher education sector.

Sightsavers is looking for a Data Architecture and Governance Manager to support the organisation in optimising their use of data for analysis, reporting and decision making.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Data Manager to support the continuation of Sightsavers’ digital transformation in data management and analytics. You will be responsible for supporting the development of the governance framework to ensure usability, availability, privacy, security and quality, as well as the data infrastructure that ensures operational and strategic decisions made by Sightsavers are driven by comprehensive, quality assured data. Additionally, you will identify, organise, catalogue and transform data from across the organisation, as well as embedding a new multi stakeholder Data Forum group that will drive the uptake of an Azure based Operational Data Store and supporting users to leverage Fabric for their data transformations and flows.
This is an exciting time for the Data Analytics Reporting Team (DART) and for the overall organisation, and as Data Architecture and Governance Manager you will play an integral role in this new era of data optimisation for analysis, reporting and decision making.
Key duties will include:
· Create and implement a data governance framework and process
· Launch and lead an organisational Data Forum to oversee the data governance approach with key stakeholders
· Drive the development and demand for new Data Architecture and Master Data Management within the Operational Data Store
· Lead on improving organisational data architecture in Azure utilising Fabric for data management
· Lead on improving organisational data AI solutions

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential
· Proven successful track record of working with organisational data management systems and applying data analysis/statistical techniques to data (ideally in health or international development).
· Experience of overseeing an Azure based Enterprise Management Information System
· Experience utilising MS Fabric for data management, transformation, data flows etc.
· Strong understanding of the international development/not-for-profit sector, with demonstrable experience in project M&E.
· Experience producing analytical reports or communication materials for a wide range of audiences.
· Use of specialist statistical and analysis software e.g. PowerBI/Tableau or similar, ArcGIS or similar.
· A commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.
Desirable
· Relevant overseas experience i.e. either professional or voluntary work.
· Experience of digital transformation, implementing new software/tools/working practices within an organization.
· Experience working with SQL or other database language.
· Experience working with MS PowerApps, Flow and Sharepoint.
· Experience of using Power Query for extraction, transformation, loading and connecting data from different data sources.
· Some experience in using spoken French or Portuguese.
