The role

This role requires translation of quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights and stories that can be communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the charity. The role also includes supporting the Evidence & Insight (E&I) team with the collation of existing evidence,  working with external agencies and partners to support the delivery of targeted E&I projects, developing networks, and horizon scanning across the sector to keep up to date on E&I programmes. The post-holder will have key involvement in supporting the communication of the  E&I team’s work across the charity by developing and coordinating a centralised resource for up-to-date reports, findings, and statistics.  The post holder will also contribute strategically to Evidence & Insight operations and documentation.

About you

We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset, who has a creative approach to exploring data.Ideally you will have already had experience of working in the charity or non-profit sectors and have strong analytical and technical skills including an understanding of CRM systems, conducting statistical analysis such as regression and hypothesis testing and be proficient in data management and manipulation using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, SPSS, R or similar.  You will be adept at working collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders to support the delivery of targeted projects and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities.

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. SCOPE OF WORK

1. Grantmaking Due Diligence & Onboarding

• Coordinate the collection, review, and secure storage of due diligence documentation from prospective grantees.

• Assist with risk screening checks and internal reviews in alignment with Purposeful’s grantmaking policies.

• Prepare grantee onboarding documentation, including grant agreements and orientation materials.

• Track submission of required onboarding documents (e.g., bank forms, MoUs, safeguarding policies).

• Monitor and keep track of the grants due for payment.

• Respond to grantee and applicant inquiries and proactively update them on the status of their grant awards.

2. Grant Compliance & Documentation

• Monitor compliance status of all active grants, flagging outstanding requirements and follow-up needs.

• Ensure that compliance-related deadlines (e.g. reporting dates, grant conditions) are met and documented.

• Maintain clean, well-organised, and accessible digital grant files, using existing tools or systems (e.g., Google Drive, Netsuite, Salesforce, etc.) to ease retrieval and generation of reports.

• Support internal checks to ensure that funds are disbursed in line with compliance protocols and funding agreements.

3. Finance Coordination

• Liaise with the finance team to prepare and verify payment documents, banking instructions, and payment schedules.

• Support alignment between grant budgets and payment disbursements.

• Track the movement of funds across grants, ensuring appropriate documentation is in place for each transaction.

4. Donor & Internal Reporting

• Assist in preparing compliance-related sections of donor reports and internal grantmaking summaries.

• Track reporting obligations by donor or partner, and ensure all documentation is collected and filed on time, including any relevant country-specific compliance requirements.

5. Audit & Policy Support

• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including sampling, document summaries, and data extractions.

• Assist in developing and maintaining internal tools (templates, checklists, trackers) related to grant compliance.

• Contribute to ongoing improvements in Purposeful’s compliance systems, bringing in lessons learned and audit feedback, and emerging regulatory or legal considerations relevant to our work.

Individual Giving Officer

We are looking for an Individual Giving Officer with experience and knowledge of fundraising, direct marketing and project management.

Position: CE375 Individual Giving Officer

Location: Home-based, UK, Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: £34,470 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,275 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

The Role

You’ll be part of an ambitious and highly motivated team responsible for delivering an ambitious and growing Individual Fundraising programme. Working with other officers, you will be reporting to either the Individual Giving Lead responsible for cause related products, or for gaming products.

You’ll be:

• Enthusiastically managing and delivering a range of fundraising and engagement campaigns and communications to develop and maximise support from loyal supporters via multiple channels, including telephone, mail, digital, and SMS.
• Using your fundraising and marketing experience and skills to create successful campaigns and complex supporter journeys to help us grow income and supporter engagement. (Working collaboratively with Digital and Social Teams, as well as external media agencies). Helping deliver on multi million annual plans to retain and recruit new supporters using the most effective techniques and channels, including Face to Face.
• Comfortable with figures and spreadsheets and have a head for figures, as you’ll be diving into the data an managing campaign costs.
• Responsible for maintaining and reporting accurate campaign results and reviews.
• Always looking out for new opportunities, using sprint pipeline methodology (testing, solving, learning from experiments) before scaling.
• Ensuring campaigns and gaming activities are fully compliant at all times… a knowledge of Gambling Commission rules would be a bonus.

About You

We’re looking for an individual who:

• Has great experience and knowledge of fundraising, direct marketing and project management, and can bring a real enthusiasm to the team. This role has a specific focus around supporter acquisition which includes face to face, paid digital, direct mail, telemarketing and eMarketing.
• Is fantastic at organising and prioritising a busy workload and knowledgeable of project management.
• Loves attention to detail and can work on several projects at once whilst thinking outside the box, as things can change quickly!

The primary set of data you will be managing is the SHOAL 1,000 Fishes Database. This is a database of more than 2,000 fish species that will require constant updates on their conservation status from experts and partners.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's profile and international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income generation, work with the team to run successful events, and deliver our e-learning programmes. Our client, an independent mission-driven charity, is seeking a Senior Operations and Governance Officer to provide essential support across corporate governance and organisational planning functions. This role is central to ensuring that leadership and strategic processes run efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with good governance practices.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on coordination, is highly organised, and has a solid understanding of Board support, minute-taking and cross-team collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the full cycle of Trustee and Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda planning, and paper distribution
• Taking high-quality and accurate minutes and tracking actions to ensure follow-up
• Supporting governance and compliance processes, including maintaining the risk register and statutory records
• Contributing to the planning, monitoring, and reporting of strategic and project delivery across the organisation
• Supporting ad hoc projects and events, including staff conferences and trustee engagement activities
• Acting as a point of contact for trustee-related queries and supporting induction and development processes

 
We are looking for someone with:

• Significant experience supporting board and committee governance
• Proven ability to take and manage high-quality minutes and meeting outputs
• Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and trustees
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM tools (such as Salesforce)
• A collaborative, adaptable approach and a commitment to inclusive working practices

The role: We’re looking for an energetic and creative communications and marketing officer to join the team at Brake, delivering compelling digital marketing and comms campaigns that generate headlines, grow our audience, drive consistent and meaningful engagement, and generate income.

Working at the heart of a small and busy communications team, you will play an instrumental role in shaping and enhancing our digital presence.

With strong digital marketing skills and a desire to make a difference, you will nurture Brake’s social media channels – interacting with our audiences and creating eye-catching and engaging content that raises awareness of the difference we make and encourages people to support our work. 

You will also support on PR and media work, supporting the team to promote Brake’s work via media outlets and manage our media database. You’ll respond to media enquiries and arrange interviews for our campaigns team, helping secure coverage that supports our strategic objectives and leads to meaningful engagement.

About Brake: Brake is a renowned and respected road safety charity with a 30-year history dedicated to supporting people affected by road crashes and advocating for safer streets.

Why this role is important: Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. Brake provides trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one and campaigns tirelessly for positive change to prevent future collisions and save lives. This role will play a vital part in raising the profile of our work and effecting positive change for a safer future on our roads.

Who we're looking for:

You will have at least one year of experience working in digital marketing, ideally within the UK charity sector. You will also have great organisational skills, a genuine desire to make a difference and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Requirements:

· Minimum one year experience working in a communications and marketing role within a charity setting, or equivalent, with a proven track record of driving audience growth and engagement.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating content for varied audiences across different digital platforms.

· Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload, working on multiple projects.

· Ability to work both independently and in a team, with a positive, problem-solving approach.

· Comfortable using CRM systems and digital tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Donorfy) 

· Experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, social platform insights) 

· Strong attention to details especially in writing and data entry

· Good knowledge of GDPR compliance and data protection best practice
