MiMIAT Health
At MiMIAT Health, we are empowering heroes with chronic conditions. We offer a multilingual app (iOS & Android), already live across Europe and Kenya, that enables patients to track symptoms, diet, weight, and stool. Soon, they’ll also integrate wearables and upload clinical records, building a unified, patient-owned health timeline.
Chronic disease management today remains highly fragmented, inequitable, and provider-centric, leaving millions without continuous care, especially in low-resource or high-mobility settings. Patients often lose ownership of their own health data, resulting in reactive instead of proactive care, late interventions and detections of flare ups, and preventable hospitalizations. 89% of chronic patients fail to consistently track their condition due to fragmented, manual, or incomplete tools, and 71% of doctors report that disconnected apps and records create gaps in delivering personalized care. In many regions, patients without smartphones or stable internet access are further excluded from digital health innovation.
MiMIAT Health addresses these challenges by creating a unified, patient-driven platform for structured health data aggregation, with mobile and SMS-based accessibility. We tackle the systemic inequities of chronic care access, digital inclusion, and health data sovereignty, aligning with SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being.
MiMIAT Health is a digital health platform offering a free mobile app (iOS and Android) available in five languages, enabling patients to self-track key health metrics, and soon connect medical devices, and upload clinical documents — building their own continuous health record. By Q4 2025, we are also set to launch SMS-based access to reach digitally underserved populations.
Healthcare providers, with patient consent — particularly in primary and secondary care — can access this real-time data through our web platform, allowing earlier interventions and more proactive care. We offer both our standalone platform and EHR integration, ensuring no provider is left behind and enabling faster, more personalized patient interventions.
We would like you to join our mission, and to see your impact on real people and their families, on real stories, and to feel equally part of MiMIAT's family!
Graphic Designer
Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)
At MiMIAT Health, we’re seeking a purpose-driven Graphic Designer to help bring visual depth and clarity to our mission. Whether it’s refining our pitch decks, polishing sales materials, or sharpening the visual strategy that supports our patient and provider journeys — your work will speak volumes even before we say a word.
This is an opportunity for someone looking to build their portfolio with meaningful, mission-led work in a fast-growing digital health startup. You’ll collaborate directly with the entire team (and be one more in MiMIAT's family!) to align visual design with the soul of what we do. From typography to layout to design consistency, we’re looking for someone who gets it, not just the pixels, but the purpose behind them.
This role is ideal for someone who: • Has a clean, sharp design style and a good sense of storytelling • Can work independently but loves co-creating with a team • Wants to add high-impact projects to their CV and real-world portfolio • Believes (inclusive) healthcare deserves better branding too
We’ll ask you for a small portfolio or samples of previous work (PDF or link) before moving forward. You don’t need years of experience, just taste, commitment, and curiosity.
If you’re excited about ethical healthcare innovation, enjoy turning vision into visuals, and want your designs to make a real difference, we want to meet you!

Burbrella Learning Academy
Burbrella is a transformative microschool network and social enterprise that reimagines education for underserved, gifted, neurodivergent, and marginalized learners through culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and personalized learning environments.
Traditional public education systems often fail to serve students equitably, especially those who are neurodivergent, gifted, or from historically marginalized communities. These systems disproportionately punish Black and Brown neurodivergent youth through suspensions, expulsions, and criminalization, contributing to the school-to-prison pipeline. Standardized curricula and overstimulating environments exclude students with ADHD, autism, and sensory processing differences, while cultural misalignment, misdiagnosis, and overcrowded classrooms further isolate and stigmatize these learners. Public schools also frequently overlook the needs of families with nontraditional work schedules, leaving parents out of the educational process. In addition, most school buildings are not designed with neurodiverse learners in mind, lacking sensory-friendly design. Burbrella directly addresses these systemic issues by offering inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive microschools where students learn in small, supportive environments tailored to their strengths, identities, and needs. We center restorative practices, sensory-conscious design, family partnership, and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are seen, respected, and equipped to thrive.
Burbrella is building a holistic educational ecosystem that closes opportunity gaps and cultivates empowered learners ready for the future. Our microschools offer safe, identity-affirming, and high-growth environments tailored to the unique strengths of Black, Brown, and neurodivergent students.
We serve learners from early childhood through high school using a scaffolded model:
- K–2: Play-based learning emphasizing sensory exploration, social-emotional development, early literacy, nature, and culinary arts.
- Grades 3–5: STEM-centered inquiry with hands-on exploration in environmental science, robotics, and math fluency. Grades 6–8: Interdisciplinary project-based learning integrating civic engagement, tech fluency, and mastery-based progression.
- Grades 9–12: College, career, and entrepreneurship readiness with dual enrollment, internships, and real-world business development opportunities.
Our model integrates restorative practices, sensory-informed spaces, low student-teacher ratios, and culturally responsive pedagogy to ensure every learner can thrive.
Country: United State of America.
