Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead in delivering our DIY and open challenge events portfolio through impactful acquisition campaigns and outstanding supporter experiences.
As part of the Mass Participation team, you’ll be responsible for developing the overall strategy for both the DIY and open challenge events programmes. A key part of the role is identifying and maximising opportunities for growth, ensuring the programme remains innovative and responsive to market trends. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the internal communication team at London Fire Brigade. The team is in the process of modernising and streamlining the organisation’s communication channels to improve the experience for firefighters, other operational colleagues, and headquarters teams.
Modernisation and evolution of our digital channels is a key part of our ambition. The team is in the process of piloting digital screens in fire stations, with a view to rolling out an agile system to all 102 fire stations across London.
Alongside this, the team is rationalising regular newsletters into more agile online publications, and evaluating opportunities to better use app-based communication within a growing digital channels portfolio. We are continuously improving our SharePoint-based intranet and looking for ways to make it easier and more intuitive for colleagues to find the information they need to do their roles, and to keep up with the latest developments across the Brigade.
The role is London-based and requires at least 40% in-office working to facilitate collaborative working with stakeholders.

Role overview:
A pivotal senior position within the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising team, this role works closely with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising to lead key fundraising initiatives and stewardship efforts. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager with a locally-led charity dedicated to ensuring the rights of children in west Africa on a permanent, full-time basis. As Senior Finance Manager you will lead the charity’s financial operations and play an important part in strengthening their financial systems and processes. A key part of the role early on is to improve the quality of financial data collection and processing by the project teams.

As Senior Finance Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for running all of the charity’s financial operations
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports (including monthly and quarterly management accounts) for the CEO and Board
- Support the charity’s plans to scale by playing a lead role in financial planning for their new programme. This includes helping to design budgets and financial management systems
- Support fundraising colleagues in preparing budgets and financial reports for donors

The successful applicant will:
