Possible is a climate action charity working on climate solutions which improve people’s lives, support communities and cut the cost of living, as well as slashing carbon. Our “Where We Live” workstrand creates innovative new ways to improve the roll-out of clean, affordable heat and energy, and to better insulate homes.

As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with expert partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand. 

The role will include coordinating and working with key expert partners, including community energy groups and research partners, across the three sites. The design stage of the project is largely complete, but there is still scope for creativity in delivery.

Like all our staff, you will contribute to our anti-oppression work, attend team-wide meetings and training sessions and feed in to the production of organisational strategy. Roles and Responsibilities

Grant Operations (55%)

• Lead on the implementation of a recent grantmaking review, conducted by the Impact Team, including revision of key grant templates and processes: due diligence, proposal development, assessment rubric, recommendation reports, reporting, partner surveys and grant exit. 
• Lead on the summary of progress towards our grantmaking KPIs, providing detailed reports and recommendations for the SLT, Impact Committee and Trustees on a quarterly basis.
• Lead on the management and development of our Impact Committee, a formal governance body overseeing our grantmaking and impact, comprising 4 Youth Advisory Board members and 4 Trustees.
• Ensure that the Youth Advisory Board has sufficient opportunity to feed into (and shape) activities of the impact team, by collaborating with the Senior Youth Participation Manager
• Support the development and implementation of our new CRM system, ensuring data is captured by Partnership Managers and kept up to date.
• Support the Impact team to identify potential grant applicants by researching organisations in fields and geographies of interest to Mission 44, networking and attending relevant events
• Support Partnership Managers as they lead the day-to-day grant assessment and relationship management with our partners. Support the Impact team to maintain relationships and regular communication with our grantees, including site visits and attendance at partners’ events.

Funder Plus (20%)

• Work with the Impact Team to implement (and continually improve) our Funder Plus programme, ready for delivery in 2026/27 - with input and consultation from a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Meanwhile in 2025/26, support the Partnership Managers in their aim to provide additional support beyond financial grants which help our grantees to build their capacity, leadership potential and resilience - this is likely to involve regular communication with the fundraising team and liaison with our major corporate partners

Research, Learning and Evaluation (15%)

• Lead on the data collection and impact reporting processes which have been developed to capture learning, evidence and impact data from our programmatic work. 
• Support our partnership managers to use the data collection and impact reporting processes, ensuring we’re able to collect and analyse key impact data on a regular basis
• Work with our Head of  Strategy and Learning and colleagues in the Impact team to help us clearly and confidently articulate the difference we’re making as a foundation. 
• Identify opportunities to improve the systems and processes we use to generate appropriate impact data, research, case studies and evidence of our impact 
• Identify opportunities to collate and share learning across the Mission 44 team, to influence and inform our future grant-making and organisational strategy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a range of peer grantmakers, charities, and other external stakeholders within the philanthropic sector, identifying opportunities for Mission 44 to share our learning externally, where appropriate.

Fundraising and Communications (10%)

• Support fundraising efforts by providing data and case studies to include in fundraising proposals and grant reports
• Support engagement between our partners and our donors, by facilitating the delivery of skills-based volunteering activities

Our People and Organisational Development directorate oversees all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to professional development, transitions and departures. It ensures that employees have the support and resources they need to excel in their roles and contribute meaningfully to the organisation's goals.

As the Head of the Employee Life Cycle Experiences and Processes redesign, you will be working closely with the Director of the Centres of Excellence on our Employee Life Cycle Transformation Project. This work focuses on reimagining and simplifying the experience for everyone involved in the employee journey whether joining, growing within, or leaving the organisation. Our goal is to enhance internal experiences for employees and managers, increase clarity and efficiency, and modernise processes that support people across the organisation.

You will be responsible for:
- Partnering with the Director of the Centres of Excellence to refine the project scope.
- Mapping current employee and manager experiences across the life cycle.
- Redesigning experiences and processes that are inclusive, equitable, and system-agnostic, focusing on improving ease, clarity, and consistency for employees and managers.
- Developing and managing detailed workplans, timelines, and resourcing aligned to project goals.
- Working closely with technology and delivery teams to implement the system changes required to support redesigned experiences.
- Managing internal and external project contributors and coordinate effectively across teams.
- Facilitating input and feedback from employees, managers, operational teams, and subject matter experts.
- Delivering project outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, leading and delivering transformation initiatives in People Operations or HR Shared Services functions.
- Experience in Organizational and Operating Models design for the People and Organizational Development function.
- Established track record of successful project management and delivery from concept to completion, managing multiple stakeholders and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working in or with areas such as reward, payroll, HR, and talent.
- Experience in delivering projects in a scaling or complex environment.
- Strong understanding of people systems and related technologies.
- Able to translate process requirements into clear system needs and work collaboratively with technology teams.
- A user centric and inclusive mindset in decision making and design. Ability to actively listen and design processes that are easy to access, understand, and use.
- Excellent communication, engagement and influencing skills. Ability to adapt communication styles and build strong, trusting relationships across a range of stakeholders securing buy-in at all levels.

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Officer (known locally as Marcomms Officer) to join our expert Marcomms team here at Sue Ryder.
This key role sits within our Brand & Marketing team, working across projects with our Healthcare, Income Generation and Creative teams. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation as well as building relationships with our key marketing suppliers and agencies.

You will help position Sue Ryder as a specialist and expert end-of-life care and bereavement support provider, supporting the team to develop strategic and tactical marketing communications and ensure end-of-life care and bereavement marketing messaging is consistent and on brand across all marketing and communications activity.

About the role:

The Marcomms Officer reports into a Marketing Manager and works across the Brand & Marketing team to:

• Develop effective marketing assets and campaigns for brand, healthcare and income generation.
• Work closely with in-house and external designers to deliver marketing campaigns and assets.
• Ensure brand and health marketing messaging remains consistent and on brand across all activity.
• Support the management and usage of our marketing and design tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop effective marketing campaigns and assets for Healthcare, Income Generation and Volunteering teams, ensuring objectives are met and integration opportunities are maximised across the charity
• Work closely with in-house and external designers to deliver marketing campaigns and assets.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with external suppliers, such as printers, freelancers, photographers, and creative agencies on allocated projects.
• Represent the Brand & Marketing team on selected organisational working groups and actively engage with our internal networks.
• Help manage our marketing tools and platform to support usage across the organisation.
• Provide project support to our Creative Team, for example co-ordinating brand photography shoots.
• Ensure all healthcare and fundraising literature is in stock, on brand and updated in terms of content, consent, permissions and legal requirements.
• Have a clear understanding of our brand guidelines and key messaging and support embedding this across all our marketing communications.
• Build strong, internal relationships with stakeholders across Sue Ryder.
• Support the smooth running of the team administration.

About you:
Essential
• Experience of managing and delivering marketing campaigns on time and on budget
• Experience of managing and developing creative assets which are relevant and impactful to the specific audience.
• Experience of working with creative and print agencies.
• Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with internal colleagues within the wider marketing and communications department such as PR and digital to ensure integrated working
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, able to work at pace across a range of projects

Desirable
• Relevant experience working in a charity or agency environment
• Experience of working with brand management.
