East Eagle Foundation

We help people with disabilities in marginalized and underserved communities in the war-affected areas of Democratic Republic of Congo, in order to fulfil their human rights and meet their basic needs.

East Eagle Foundation is committed to helping people marginalized and underserved communities, especially with disabilities in DR Congo, especially in war-affected areas, to fulfill their human rights and meet their basic needs. We work with government bodies, local communities and Disabled People Organizations to implement our projects. EEF has over 10 years of experience working in communities in conflict and post-conflict areas. Currently, EEF is active in seven provinces across the country (Kinshasa, Tanganyika, Kongo-Central, North Kivu, South Kivu, Tshopo and Katanga) and has created an ecosystem of disability rights advocates-the organization maintains a database of more than 2,500 people living with disabilities (members).

To meet the stated objectives identified above, we work in collaboration with the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Ministry of Social Affairs, Humanitarian Action & National Solidarity to work with government staff at the local and regional level and with health and services provider agency staff to ensure they are aware of the rights and abilities of people living with disabilities. We also increase their skills to provide supports that provide full inclusion. This is accomplished through training, educational materials, technical assistance, and the creation of a Community of Practice. Our second focus is to increase the advocacy skills of individuals living with disabilities. This is accomplished through advocacy training and training to create radio and social media content aimed at raising awareness of the rights and abilities of people living with disabilities.

Grant Writer

Job description:

As our Grant Writer you will be responsible for identifying appropriate grant opportunities, and managing the grant development and proposal process from research to submitting grant applications with any supporting documents.

As our grant writer, you will:

• Identify appropriate sources of funding where we fit their criteria. 

• Write appropriately tailored grant/funding bids that meet funders’ interests and requirements and to write any additional documents in support of funding bids.

• Help develop a Trusts and Foundations strategy to help create and maintain strong and diverse income that meets Say Aphasia’s funding needs.

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Join us as part of our Communications team to help deliver powerful content for our internal & external communications strategy. East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces. 

We are looking for community researchers specialised to contribute to our community-led working circle who are working on on a listening project to ensure often underrepresented voices in conservation and environmental projects are heard and centred. 

There is opportunity to lead on projects and facilitate the direction of the working circle.

Adventure Ashram is a small but mighty UK-based charity founded by adventurers in 2007. We support life-saving grassroots projects in India, focused on: 

• Combating human trafficking 

• Providing education for vulnerable children 

• Ensuring access to essential healthcare 

We work closely with our local Indian partners to deliver meaningful, sustainable change. Our UK-based operations raise vital funds through adventurous events, innovative campaigns, and international initiatives—most notably our global yoga campaign, Yoga Stops Traffick. 

Role: Trustee – Fundraising Specialist 

We are looking for a new Trustee with significant fundraising experience to help us grow and diversify our income and contribute to our overall strategic direction. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their professional skills to make a lasting impact on vulnerable communities, particularly vulnerable women and children in India.

What we’re looking for 

We welcome applications from individuals with fundraising expertise in one or more of the following areas: 

• Individual Giving & Major Donors 

• Trusts and Foundations 

• Corporate Partnerships 

• Community Fundraising and Events 

• Digital Campaigns and Innovation 

• Fundraising Strategy and Income Development 

Trustee Commitment 

• Board Meetings: 4 per year (weekday evenings, usually online) 

• Committee Involvement: All trustees join one of our committees (Fundraising, Finance, Programme Management), which meet every 2 months 

• Events: Attend 1–2 UK-based Adventure Ashram events per year (where possible) 

• Approximate time commitment: 1–2 hours per week 

We also hope that this new trustee would be open to supporting other trustees and staff in developing their fundraising skills to improve internal capabilities.
